I have fiber cement siding on my home. Flashing wasn't installed on the butt joins, some were caulked and some weren't. Is there a solution to flash these butt joints after it's installed? Thanks
You might can sneak a pc of metal flashing under each seam and apply a small bead of silicone on the back side of the flashing? If it’s blind nailed it will probably work, if face nailed you may be out of luck?
If it was raw cement aluminum can degrade it some (takes many years to do so) but this is all primed with paint…so there is no concrete to aluminum contact.
Incredibly helpful! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful and thanks for watching
Great job 👍🏻 you’re an excellent contractor
Wow, thank you
Good idea, no water getting in there, nice job.
You got that right!
Are there no prefab options to buy for this instead of making them?

What kinda screws did you use in the video
1.5” Coated deck screw
What kind of brake is that?
Tapco 12’
Isn't aluminum no supposed to be used because it reacts with the cement? It's so hard to find a straight answer on this topic.

Why are you using screws?! So slow 🐌 coil siding nailer! Works so well
I’ve got one, this was detailed work and screws worked perfectly. I’m not in a race
