Love your videos by the way. A lot of seniors live alone. A good video on caning little half pint meals they could do would be helpful. With recipes on how to make the meal on opening the jars. Another idea on videos is food preps in a jar. Like dry Alfredo mix in jars. Spaghetti mixes etc.
another video idea is herbal home remedy’s. Example chop onion really fine fill jar half way. Then cover with honey, let set several hours. I tablespoon for coughs. Tastes nasty but it really works. Make your own syrups, and extracts. Dried vanilla beans cut in half long ways, then Jared and add vodka (I like cream vodka) let set several geeks. Strain and you have vanilla extract. Do not want alcohol then veggie glycerin mixed with water and let sit will be a good extract. Anyway I love your videos and would like to see more.

My favorite is Carla Emery's ENCYCLOPEDIA OF COUNTRY LIVING, and local - not those big giant books that cover the whole country country - field guides are indespensible. If you know how to forage, that's a great asset. Wilderness First Aid is we've focused on a well.

I have the Kerr book ... love the way it is laid out. Very easy to follow. I found it on Amazon.
Wow - I want one of the Reader's Digest books! So many skills that modern man has forgotten. And the book on raw milk? What a treasure!

Try some foraging for wild edibles. How to find and use them. A lot of plain old weeds are edible and some make good medicines if you stranded in somewhere and really need to find food and medicine

I am VERY NEW to canning ….. it is not something we are taught in the tropics and consuming canned goods is done EVERYDAY! Started water bath canning this year and my husband just got me a electric pressure canner …. So I really and I mean REALLY looking forward to pressure canning in 2025… I am going to look in to the top three books you mentioned
    ❤❤THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Do I need to use a new lid every time I water bath? I haven't gone through all my new jars, lids and rims, yet. But when I do ...I probably need to order some lids. I've also been saving jars and covere from processed foods, like I saw you use with your friend in my favorite Mexican Chicken recipe. Loved that video. It was fun to watch.

The Way Things Work was a great book for my mechanically inclined family members.
Foraging and Feasting, Dina Falconi although may not be the best field guide it is the most beautiful. Petersen Field Guides are Great as well as Rosemary Gladstar and The Art of Natural Cheese Making by David Asher.
I can by memory but, picked up a copy of Melissa Norris's Everything Worth Preserving for my family in case I am not here.

I am from India and regularly follow all your videos and learnt a lot. Especially using used bottles with lug cap lids for canning because canning bottles are very difficult to get it over here, and if available, is very expensive.
Just one question: After canning the products and storage, can we reheat it before eating it

Preserving God’s Bounty is NOT low or no sugar. It also is NOT healthy recipes. This book is expensive and a complete waste of money. I own it and would NEVER recommend it to anyone!! The only reason she recommends it is because she makes money from the sale of it. BUYER BEWARE
