Wow!! Are you native English speaker? I'm Brazilian, but I do love the language and learn by myself. I would NEVER get these words he said, even though I had tried so hard!!! He spoken toooooo fast ahahahah!!! I mean, I got him when he said the last bit, "it's really hard". Anyways, thanks for the transcription. Maybe you don't know, but that was very special and useful to me!! Thank you!
And yes, although I'm not a Cold Play fan, I love this song!! Nice version on the guitar and Chris absolutely killed!! He is an awsome singer. Just by hearing his great voice when he talks, comes a guess he could sing well.

@@Blueridge1961 You don't need to be famous to play the same four chords, palm muted for the entire song... I could do that when I was 15, and you could do it too after only a couple months playing guitar.
Chris called the arrangement simple because it IS simple. It's easy to play. There's nothing wrong with that. Not every song needs to be a classical piece from Paganini or Liszt to be enjoyable to listen to. We can appreciate this performance, simple as it is, without pretending it's a virtuosic masterclass in instrumental technique.

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning, I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
    Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never, never a honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was a wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
    Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
    Roman Calvary choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
    Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

@@eduardoai5 looks like full step down on the G string and one and a half step down on the B string, if I'm not mistaken...?

    used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
    Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never
    Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
    Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
    Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
    Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
    Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
    Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

When i first heard this song as a teen i liked it a lot. Now im in my late 20's and experienced a ton of hardships, the song suddenly gave a deeper meaning to me.

That was so rad. I'm glad Howard got him to play the whole thing on his acoustic. I've never seen/ heard Chris play that song like that by himself on guitar. That dude is so INSANELY talented. Everyone in Coldplay is. -
