His voice is sensational here, and he hasn't even declined with age. He can hit some brilliant notes now. He won't class himself as a great singer or guitarist, but I think he's pretty underrated.
mattalgrand kíds can learn musical from that era 💯 pct. Rocker and how to perform live without lip syncing or no backing track! shit half a rock and roll band used backing tracks these days that's ludicrous. no rockbands did that back in the 90s. millennials can't stand if they're not dead perfect sounding but you don't realize makes them look like damn fools! and also that fans don't call him out on it how to get away with it and keep doing!
Noel in his prime was the greatest stand alone lad with a guitar in hand. I’d rather see him in concert just by himself no band just him and his guitar. My favorite musician in the whole 🌎.
Wow, Howard... Thank you very, very, very much for sharing this masterpiece with us!! More than beautiful, "Don't Look Back in Anger" is a hit of all time, brings nostalgia and strong emotion to me!! Hard not to cry!
@@jamesfitzgerald6636 I think the point is that he doesn't sing many Oasis songs. This is one of the very few and someone would say he's a better singer than Liam - less destinctive I suppose though.
Howard Stern has had some amazing performances in his little studio over the years - great opportunities for him to talk over the beginning and end of each song.
"Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grasses waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forgive life, to be at peace." Oscar Wilde.
Well they did 7 albums and over 30 singles with enough bsides to make another 3 albums , if you only know don't look back in anger then there's plenty to go and listen to . Noel's done 4 albums by himself as high flying birds and Liam's on his second solo album .
Tbh I got so tired of this song by listening to It on the radio that I wasnt aware of how great It is. Listening this acoustic version has opened my eyes. How much passion. Beautiful.
I'm a lifelong Oasis fan and have heard acoustic, live, versions of this song over one thousand times and this one sounds the best. Noel's voice is incredible and the sound in the studio sounds like Abbey Road.
Try Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. They've been around for years and are my favourite band. Nick's songwriting is genius and the band is nothing short of brilliant. They really put effort into their music and have another album on the way.
I love when artists we're used to seeing on a huge stage of equipment and musicians, show they're incredible with just a acoustic guitar and a basic microphone. Noel is a real musician.
Noel, Liam, Oasis in their prime were the best. Their first two albums are classics. Can’t say the same though for their stateside concerts. Liam was often too drunk to sing and he’d pick fights, ruin the show. Still legendary.

I wish he would sing like this again sometimes!!! I miss it so much. Just fucking fantastic. This is the voice and style that made me love Noel to begin with. 👍🎧🎶🎵😍
His voice is absolutely incredible here.
😂😂😂
That quality is incredible.
God I miss the fucking 90s🤘
Ain't it tho?!!

I've watched it 22 times. I keep a tally as it's easy to forget.
Just don't look back in anger, later and say...
Same. This acoustic version is so pure and beautiful.
This is amazing. So beautiful. 😂😢
His voice was fucking insane here
I swear, The Howard Stern Show has the best live performances.
The sound in Howard's studio is better than most recording studios
TH-cam Svengali seriously ! Sometimes when I’m listening live, I forget it’s live and on the radio! Lol
Indeed! It's incredible quality in all of these videos. I hope he keeps them coming!
TH-cam Svengali all thanks to Baba Booey! He’s an audiophile
maybe Scotts really good at his job haha
Yeah, great sound!
If someone sings a THREE MINUTE song that makes you lose track of time, that’s art.
Well said
You got that right Erika, especially when you listen to it about 8 times in a row...or 9?
So, if I spent three minutes drifting in and out of common time while chanting random numbers…that’s ART?
3 minutes isn't long at all though
@@davidrishtakov1 Absolutely amazing how a massive song starts from the very soul.

Noel can really rock an acoustic
With a mug like that he kind of has to
Generally find acoustics somewhat boring compared to electrics but Noel brings so much energy to it
Anyone notice he played a diff chord progression from the song to open, rather than the Imagine chords he usually always strummed?
Anyone who plays good guitar can tho, it’s the first thing we learn
He writte all of his songs in acoustic
This performance is a special moment in history.
Man.... this is like studio quality. Howard got some damn expensive mics and a good mixer, whoever is mixing this is deserves a raise!
Not much to mix, Noel just nailed it 😂
God damn his voice and sound quality is absolute perfection.
