    Excellent video, Nick! I definitely think a video on psychiatric hospitals would be great. There is so so much stigma around them! I have question: When to dispute a fear/belief vs when to accept a fear/belief. I have those reoccurring thoughts of "I feel s--t" due to anxiety and/or depression. I'm not sure if I should be disputing them or accepting them. I certainly do not let them get in the way of me living my life, etc. but I would definitely want to live in better harmony with them. Thanks as always. Daisy is sooooooo adorable!

    I really struggle to see/feel/understand the fear cycle. I don’t ‘feel’ scared- it just sucks, I don’t want to feel this way but it doesn’t feel scary. Is the thought of ‘I don’t want to be this way forever’, ‘I don’t want to be miserable forever’ or ‘I don’t want to end up like them’ - is that fear speaking?

      Yes me! It is causing me so much distress and the focus of my ocd. I have difficulty moving my gaze from one object to another which creates fear spikes several times a minute throughout the day. And I have so much anxiety I can hardly go out except to walk the dog!

    What will rob/Nick do,if someone kill ur loved ones? Will u let the murderer go(unconditional other acceptance) or will u file a case against him in court?
    By no way, I'm doing a reasurance/ compulsion here,I just want to know what rationality means under such conditions! So that it could give me a new insight

      Hey buddy great question. So in these situations we can always just 'imagine' how we would use REBT/ etc. during these times. For myself, Nick, I'd say it would NOT be easy to use unconditional acceptance, but where I am now I truly do believe I could find the way. Great question though!

    If I tell my self I'm okay with noticing my sensations and if I relapse just hit me with it in my mind. Is it compulsive?

    • @OCDRecovery
      @OCDRecovery  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you are saying it over and over to yourself it’s a compulsion.

      @@OCDRecovery thank you for your quick reply. When I'm having anxiety bursts I just allow it to come in by telling myself hit me. Is that a compulsion?
