If you look in the parking lot at about 4:02, you will see on the right-hand side of the screen the fourth-generation Subaru Legacy/Liberty that will eventually become Supergramps.
But do you know that for a fact?

I just wish turbo kits weren't so damn expensive!
And a lot (at least for the Miata) don't even come with the ECU, which is a good $700 more at least

Chris Watson Local wreckers is always decent (at least to me), ebay but make sure it's the USED section; good deals on used branded turbos. The stuff that usually costs the most is the ECU because most people want new.

+Derrick Keough go turbo then tune, get a mega squirt and you should be straight on stock internals. Upgraded injectors etc depending how much HP you wanna go. Definitely a better clutch. Mine slipped with 130hp~ in 3rd. And that wasn't even turbod
I watched this series religously 7 years ago when it came out.... I am now Turbocharging my R32 and feel like I have gone back in time.

As a engineer/welder myself it’s so tempting just to turbo every engine I see. Whether it be a car or bike engine. I’ll do it one day though. Keep up the good content guys

Excellent video! Was a bit skeptical at the start when the jokes were coming thick and fast but when they stopped and it just cracked on with some good engineering work it was awesome!

ChastBlind I pulled the trigger on a kmod stage 1 turbo kit. Good for 650 wheel.
Was getting ready to pull the trigger on a built k24 when I decided to sell it all bought a truck and a dirtbike and called it a day. Big turbo build will come soon tho.

So im looking to get a new car.
First off I know NOTHING about cars! Nada zip zero zilch.
I like the sound of turbo (ever since I was 16 working for door to door sales guy drove us to and from home base in his wrx and god did it sound amazing. When that boost kicked in you were planted in your seat.)
So I figure I would ask a bunch of gear heads what they like why and what I should look at. Just for a ball park ive been thinking silvia s15 (200sx model) But seriously if you ask why ill say cause it looks nice and can sound nice rofl. In the end I figure would be better to ask some of the experts or atleast more experienced people out there for opinions ideas and reasons.
So let me know what car and why. Budget 10-20k depending on the car the power what uses I could get out of it (wanting to try track days again).

uhm... they spin at more than 90,000 RPM when spooling so i douby spinning it at 500 RPM will do much of anything...

back in my day nobody used inter coolers, we used to place the carb up stream from from the turbo air intake, , so it was sucking ,not blowing, you can make 250 hp with out a turbo 14-1 compression and long tube headers with a after market higher lift cam and 20 more degrees of duration, adjustable cam s are out there too.
