As a complete beginner regarding overclocking it was refreshing to hear in simple terms how to go about it, I have applied core clock increases already and will be heading to the memory clock next. Thanks so much Jayz.
UniCrafter on Afterburner values it's 130% on the power limit, +110 on the core clock ( about 1502Mhz with turbo boost) and +520 on the memmory clock. btw it's a gigabyte WF gpu. Mind that every gpu is different even it's the same brand and model but still this card overclock's very well for any model, I had other gpu's before and they could OC too but the performance boost was never this good
+Marco Martins what software did you uninstall. i have tried the o/c as described here. when i get breakups in the loops on heaven i roll it back as stated. it just goes back to around 30-40 fps and doesnt change no matter what i do
+ethan king But how long does it maintain that core boost clock though? I've found that pushing my Galax Exoc 970 past +1446 causes my card to hit its 125% power limit repeatedly in games like Battlefield 4 and War Thunder, causing it to downclock suddenly before clocking up again (graphs show this)
For some reason I can't disable the on screen display. The "more" button is totally disabled. Perhaps it's something in the latest version, not too sure ...
+Angel Gutierrez Yeah either when Temps get too high OR when you have to start adding a lot more voltage for a very minimal gain. Most new cards have a voltage max allowed unless you load a custom bios onto it.
Thanks a bunch jay, actually got me into overclocking now! I've been wanting to go buy a new card but money is tight right now so this was a perfect way to gain a little performance for nothing! Endless paradox: If you overclock your graphics card, you will have the same performance as the next tier card, but if you bought that one AND overclocked it, it would be better, even similar to the next tier one, but then if you could buy that one and overclock it, you would... Correction to your correction: MSI Afterburner displays an offset for Nvidia GPUs that specifically support GPU Boost, rather than Nvidia cards at large. So, if you have an older Nvidia card(say, a GTX 550 Ti), it will show the absolute clock value. If AMD cards gain a similar feature to GPU Boost in the future, then you'll see the same thing there.
QUESTION: Once I see artifacts & glitches once ive played with the core clock, and I begin to up the voltage. What increments should I increase the voltage by? Is 10 at a time too much or too little?
Finally got my GTX 960 (I'm a budget gamer, get over it lol) to clock with an extra 110MHz. I might be able to do more with more time, but I'm happy with the results I've seen so far! Thank you JayzTwoCents!
Dude. This is literally the first time I'm hearing about OSD introducing instability, after reading through a number of different guides and forums. And I thought my GPU simply won't overclock at all.
I recently found your channel and it has got me back into pc modding. After watching this video I was able to overclock my GTX 1060 6gb with +130 on the core clock and +140 on the memory clock. I'm looking at getting a GTX 1080ti now.
I learned so much from this video! I maxed the power limit and temp limit to start. Then I slowly increased the Core Clock and got my msi 970 core boost clock of 1329 increased to 1505 "stable". I say "stable" because I used The Division Benchmark on Ultra Preset and not sure how that compares to Valley Benchmark. I gained an average of 4-5fps without messing with any other settings. Needless to say I have more testing and learning to do but I had a lot of fun using this method, thanks again Jay!
Thank you for the videos ! Currently over clocking my rx 580 8gb gaming x. I was thermal throttling badly did a re paste with some mx-4 and lost 10 degrees and now i am pulling higher numbers. I have been watching your videos for a while now and i should have been overclocking my gpu long ago !

Thanx 4 video jay, don't laugh everyone, but for me its worth it. after watching vid several times a week, i finally found were my baby beast is happy. msi gtx 1050 ti low profile installed in HP compaq elite 8200 sff pc : i5-2400 & 8 gb ram all running on stock 240 psu. butt gaming several weeks on gta. i get extra 3 - 4 fps with average speeds in low 1800 mhz : ]
this was best card i could find without changing anything with my pc. certain games; get low 1900 mhz { average } All @ 1920 x 1080 x 60 hz. with average 60 fps on medium or high detail.
Just wanna say, thanks for posting this. Following your advice I managed to OC my GTX 1060 6Gb (Offset of +200 Core Clock, +175 Mem clock, +30 Voltage). this allowed a stable overclock keeping my video card temp just under 70 deg Celsius with stock cooler. Still too much of a coward to try Water-Cooling :). But in short - thanks
So this is normal right? This is on a GEFORCE ASUS 750 TI using the Heaven benchmark. Before: FPS:49.4 Score:1244 Min FPS:24.8 Max FPS:93.5 After: FPS:56.2 Score:1417 Min FPS:17.7 Max FPS:105.3
This video has been really helpful. I was considering replacing my 2 x Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 A8G GPU's for an RTX 2080TI as I was not happy with the performance, but having overclocked them now I am much happier. probably still will replace them, but not as soon as I thought now. My stock results on the benchmark were as follows: FPS: 91.8 Score: 3842 Min FPS: 37.2 Max FPS: 150.6 After overclocking I got much better results. Apparently these cars can go to 2050mhz up from their stock of 1866mhz (I think) but I wasn't able to keep them that high without artefacts - only 1 or 2 and very rare, but enough to bother me. My OC results were as follows: FPS: 125.0 Score 5231 Min FPS: 42.0 Max FPS: 227.0 You can see a huge difference in the average FPS and Max FPS that I am very happy with. My end points in Afterburner were as follows for anybody interested who may have the same GPU/GPU's: Core Voltage: +100 (will not let me push it any higher) Power Limit: 120 Core Clock: +130 (Got it to +145 but gave rare artefacts as mentioned above that became more common when I started increasing the memory MHZ) Memory Clock: +700 (managed to reach +740 and +140 on the Core Clock when the artefacts began appearing noticeably) As They are air cooled, I have setup a custom fan profile that keeps the main GPU sitting around 68 Degrees Celsius when running the benchmark for over an hour and the second GPU at about 51 Degrees Celsius. I increased my CPU Overclock as well to 4800mhz and got a better score, but was not happy with the temps being as high as they got (high 70 Degrees Celcius), so my current CPU overclock is at 4700Mhz. It's base is 3700mhz - 4300mhz (with boost). Just thought I would share and say thanks for the video even though this video is a few years old now :)
I have a gtx 1060 in my new pc and it won't MSI afterburner won't allow me to change the voltage, all settings are enabled in general but it won't let me adjust voltage, anybody else having this issue?
+Steve Froth I've done everything in the video, I can adjust the voltage on my 970 and my friends 1080, but the 1060 I'm using now won't let me adjust voltage, everything is current version/drivers, is the 1060 voltage control locked bc i cant unlock no matter what I do
Hi, I have the same issue as you, I own a 1060 and after watching the entire video and doing everything he says I can't get it to let me change the voltage at all.
The Tinker Overclocking makes the GPU last -2 years and he probably is going to have an upgrade in the next year. If you mess up your overclocking what happens in your computer reboots automatically and you can redo the overclock. You dont know anything about overclocking so please shut the fuck up...
Cant change my voltage.. But Overclocked: Power Limit -> 121% GTX 1080 -> 2100Mhz VRAM -> 5600Mhz could be more if i would be able to change voltage.. (and yeah, i have exactly the same settings like in the video..)
Buddy , I followed this method on my rig and wowee the difference on Just Cause 3 was Great !! using a palit 780 Jetstream and gained 230mhz on core clock and a whopping 385 mhz on memory clock. havent even touched the voltages yet! Using nvidia;s latest drivers.....
Step 1. Run a number of stresstests. Step 2. Assuming the temperature is high, proceed to the next step. Step 3. Get a screwdriver and take the small screws off the side panel on your case. Step 4. Take off the side panel. Step 5. Bring some cooking oil, smear it all over the graphics card, get a nice steak, and enjoy your indoor BBQ.
Hey! Glad I found this video. I'm going to try these techniques on my old GTX 770. I'm not worried about it dying, as I only use this computer for gaming. I'll let you know how it goes!
*facepalm* you should crack it open as soon as you get it lol, usually to see if anything came loose during shipping, maybe do some cable management. then you would've seen that you have 2 GPUs lol. did the ebay product description not state that it had an extra GPU under the hood?
Already had overclocked my graphics card but I saw this video so decided to watch it, I got my GTX 1060 3GB to 2150MHz on the core and 4400MHz on the memory
omg lmao that ad bro was fking awesome...trust me you want that man card back lol priceless!.....keep it up man every new vid I watch is even better then the last loving your content take care
8:30, i dont have the prioritise thing. I can see the temp limit but not the other arrow. Do i have to activate something in the settings? I'm on version 4.3.0 with an asus 1060 o6g
Thank you for this video, it really helped me out with overclocking my gtx 770 and I am getting atleast a 20 fps boost from it. The core voltage was something I had a problem with so I just found a stable place without it.
Do you need a quality power supply to safely adjust the voltage and power limit to overclock the gpu? I added a graphics card in an old prebuilt desktop and was wondering if it is still safe to oc or not.
How do I know what the sweet spot is for boosting the memory clock? You explained how to get the peak core clock performance; boost it until it crashes, then boost voltage until it becomes stable again and so on, but you don't explain the details of boosting memory clock frequency. How do I know when it's too much or if I can boost higher? Am I looking for a crash as well when boosting memory clock?? Any help appreciated
Strange. I use MSI Afterburner on my GTX 950 and I can't adjust the voltage at all. However I am able to adjust the voltage in EVGA Precision X. I found that I can use Precision X's voltage control independently from the overclocking program so I can use EVGA's voltage control while still using MSI Afterburner to overclock. What's even weirder is I gain speed on the boost clock just by adjusting the voltage alone. I'm afraid to add voltage though since I have a low power version of the GTX 950 and it has no power connector and claims to already max draw 75 watts from the PCI express slot. It seems to be fine with an extra 25 or even 50mv. I just don't wanna start smelling smoke from the motherboard.
3:30 can anybody tell me about the amd settings? he kinda diddnt get into them at all and i would like to know if i should click some options of them or disable some or which do what and shit.
This is amazing video, 5years old, true, but still amazing explanation. Yes you should definitely do an update, though afterburner continues the same...maybe a level 2 guide?! Cheers
finally taking the time to overclock my gpu, as i have a strix 960, and its hitting the end of its lifespan but i dont have the money to replace it yet, cant wait for summer im getting a job and looking for a new computer, and to extend its lifespan a little longer im dipping my toes in overclocking, and i have to say, its easier than i thought, with a real simple change, and quite frankly a rather large jump in core clock, i real quickly found some really nice improvements
here i am on new years eve of 2022, and this video still holds up great. Specs: 1050ti 4gb, intel i5 7600k (4GHz boost), 8gb of ram. Running on an LG UW monitor (2560x1080) So started off with a score of 1249 on Heaven Benchmark, after around 2 hours of tweaking, managed to get the score up to 1376. FPS went from 49.6 avg to 54.6 which i think is pretty solid considering i don't have a super beefy setup and that was on high settings, no anti aliasing or tessellation. Eventually managed to get the boost clock up to +175MHz, core voltage up to +40% and memory clock up to +180MHz. Deffo could spend more time on this and maybe push this old card harder, but at the moment pretty satisfied with what i'm pulling especially considering that this PC was built by 11 year old me and my cousin way back in 2016 (its only had a new GPU for around 4 years and the CPU was replaced around 3 years ago). Thanks jayz and happy new year to all.
Thank you so much, in 20 years of PC gaming never had a need to OC but now (finally) moving up to a 144hz monitor so doing all I can and this really helped. Was able to get a 10fps boost on my PNY GTX 960 4gb (& running 2600x ryzen) with the following settings: Core Voltage -- +100mV Power Limit -- +108% Core Clock -- +171MHz Memory Clock -- +301MHz Haven't run an hrs/days long test yet, temps are averaging in the mid 80s as of now which I assume is high but safe.
What if i got a intergraded Graphics card??? Can i OC it? And i opened afterburner i have settings set like you, but it shows everything is on max... my PC still runs like shit... didnt do anything with the sliders but it says max.... If it is maxed out than i cant over clock my pc? its runing at a solid 55C temperature...
6:00 I have been doing overcloking and Fortnite crashes couple times but always I dont get report box on screen could this do the problem? Bc I tested my gpu overcloks on kompustor and those should be fine. PLS HELP
This was so easy and helped so much, i got a +200 core clock and +900 memory clock with only a minor increase in voltage. I think i could honestly squeeze more out by slowly upping it alongside the volts but I'm happy where its at for right now. Extreme hd settings - 1920x1080. fps: 168.7 score: 7058 mon fps: 50.7 max fps: 287.9
I need help. Clock speeds are bigger, but real game performance is less smooth. My pc crashed eventually and did not load for 3 attempts, on 4th I've uninstalled afterburner
I played this video on my iPad in front of me while I was over clocking my Gpu for the first time ever and absolutely love this video. If I could give this 100 likes I would. Got +14 FPS on my gtx 970 for free. Thanks p.s. I failed to mention that after my first (control) benchmark I air dusted the tower as the previous user must have had pets because there was literally clumps of dust.
Those animations in Solitaire are gonna look so smooth now, thanks Jay
+Jon Wilson Minesweeper too.
+Jon Wilson and 60FPS on MS Word. It's like a wet dream.
+Jon Wilson You and your noobish games, space pinball is a real game with demanding graphics
Jarb2104 I couldn't even dream about playing that. Too hard.
Byron Shultz that's because of FPS, once you get a decent FPS with the over clock, you're good to go.
3 Gtx Titan X's...
...I didn't realize I was watching a tutorial on how to overclock your terminator robot.
i'm guessing you haven't watched many of his videos? Skunkworks is a lot of PC
The funny thing is that i got higher score with a single 1080ti OC
Deagless because adding cards is pretty broken as scaling goes.
Nice XD

we need a 2019 update...

@Ulysses strange Hi. Just checking in from the year 2520. I picked up my new GTXXX 40,080 Ti. Looking for an overclock guide, plz.
@@tomwallen7271 Just put some RGB and you will be fine.
@Ulysses strange sorry, I know it seems important to you, but I'm really just interested in how to overclock my GPU
@Ulysses strange well the interface changed alot, im doing a oc scanner, that doesnt seem to be there.
I've known how to do this for years but I'm watching anyway because Jay's a boss.
+DiehlGames I was about to say the same thing lol.
+DiehlGames I didin't know you watched tech videos Diehl o.o i remember your server :/

David Moores unistall? You mean install? You just need to download MSI Afterburner and do little increments like on the video
no i mean did you keep the gigabyte software on your system just wondering if this is why my attempts at overclocking arent working
Perfect timing for a video like this. I literally just bought a 970 and was planning to overclock.
Same! Which one did you chose?
Peter Edie The MSI one because everyone seems to love that one the most lol

go to settings general, the click ''unlock voltage control''
You need to have rivatuner installed and booted up, that worked for me.
I am having the same problem I have Rivatuner installed and have tired to make a desktop shortcut so it will boot up but it will not work.
this worked for me, thanks!
Gained over 5fps on average and the score went from 1976 to 2169 on my Asus 750ti. Thanks Jay!
Yazeed i have an asus 750 ti aswell... Could you tell me how far you got with the numbers (voltage, memory clock and others)
+Davor Blister I didn't touch the voltage. Core clock +135 and memory clock +500. Temps never go above 60°.
Davor Blister the gpu is now at 1349mhz core clock, 1481mhz boost clock and 3200mhz memory clock and very stable so far.
YazeedSaber Ok, thanks! Glad someone has the same GPU as my one and I will definately give it a go :)
+Davor Blister good luck ;)
But when do I stop playing with voltage and core clock? By checking my temps?

buy the best tier card i can afford, overclock to perform at the next tier. End of story

Hell yeah burn that thing to the ground!
Haven't tried it. Just turned on my pc, last time i was on it was more than a month ago
you done it yet?
If you're planning on reusing that motherboard be careful as overdoing it could hurt other things.
Have you done it? My brother has got a GTX 670 and I might go overclock that. How did it go?
I still can't move my Core Voltage and Power Limit. What do I do?
Maybe cause your using a Laptop, so.. yeah, you can't move it.
Same
I did that tho
Thank you for the videos ! Currently over clocking my rx 580 8gb gaming x. I was thermal throttling badly did a re paste with some mx-4 and lost 10 degrees and now i am pulling higher numbers. I have been watching your videos for a while now and i should have been overclocking my gpu long ago !
One question, when i start to do benchs to get to my right core clock number, do i put the quality on ultra? Antialisating x3 as in the video? Thanks
You just have to make the GPU working on 100% or near, to be sure it is using the maxed out frequencies.
wow I actually see a video as soon as it releases
V nice

What's the geek - 1070 ti. HEYNOW
This video has been really helpful. I was considering replacing my 2 x Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080 A8G GPU's for an RTX 2080TI as I was not happy with the performance, but having overclocked them now I am much happier. probably still will replace them, but not as soon as I thought now.
My stock results on the benchmark were as follows:
FPS: 91.8
Score: 3842
Min FPS: 37.2
Max FPS: 150.6
After overclocking I got much better results. Apparently these cars can go to 2050mhz up from their stock of 1866mhz (I think) but I wasn't able to keep them that high without artefacts - only 1 or 2 and very rare, but enough to bother me. My OC results were as follows:
FPS: 125.0
Score 5231
Min FPS: 42.0
Max FPS: 227.0
You can see a huge difference in the average FPS and Max FPS that I am very happy with.
My end points in Afterburner were as follows for anybody interested who may have the same GPU/GPU's:
Core Voltage: +100 (will not let me push it any higher)
Power Limit: 120
Core Clock: +130 (Got it to +145 but gave rare artefacts as mentioned above that became more common when I started increasing the memory MHZ)
Memory Clock: +700 (managed to reach +740 and +140 on the Core Clock when the artefacts began appearing noticeably)
As They are air cooled, I have setup a custom fan profile that keeps the main GPU sitting around 68 Degrees Celsius when running the benchmark for over an hour and the second GPU at about 51 Degrees Celsius.
I increased my CPU Overclock as well to 4800mhz and got a better score, but was not happy with the temps being as high as they got (high 70 Degrees Celcius), so my current CPU overclock is at 4700Mhz. It's base is 3700mhz - 4300mhz (with boost).
Just thought I would share and say thanks for the video even though this video is a few years old now :)
those temps are fine for the cpu.
'you get amazing graphics cards'
AMD Radeon HD 8730M 2GB
'Amazing'
Weird, I unlocked the voltage but it still wont let me move the bars
your video card ain t compatible with changing voltage
+PC Test I have an Nvidia Gt 630 and the voltage is blocked. There is a high risk of flashing the bio.If something goes wrong your video card is done
I finally understand how to do it properly. Thanks for the help. Always great advice
i cant change core voltage
+Timo Engel That sucks.
+JayzTwoCents yeah :(
I think you have to allow change voltages in the settings. I think it's like a tick box
+steve m i have But it does bot work...
Oh.... Well that sucks!
I have a gtx 1060 in my new pc and it won't MSI afterburner won't allow me to change the voltage, all settings are enabled in general but it won't let me adjust voltage, anybody else having this issue?
Did you watch the vid ? If so , maybe watch again .
Did you buy it from nvidia's website like me?
+xomg660 yes I did
WOW! As a new overclocker this really helped! Thanks Jay!
"free" It will increase power consumption so not exactly free
+Rentta Did you have to buy anything to overclock the GPU? No? Then no costs.
That $0.01 might bankrupt some people..
Are you really gonna run a 970 on a 450w psu?
MasteerCheef Depends. You might need new psu. My gpu uses +120w more when oc'd .
+Rentta Well, it costs time too :/
what about when valley crashes like halfway through but comes back?
I'm late, but if anyone else asks, you need to turn it down. You don't want the game doing that.
Clear and comprehensive tutorial!
Ima try this with an old laptop wish me luck so I won't die.
Julio Delgado dont do that it could ruin it
The Tinker Overclocking makes the GPU last -2 years and he probably is going to have an upgrade in the next year. If you mess up your overclocking what happens in your computer reboots automatically and you can redo the overclock. You dont know anything about overclocking so please shut the fuck up...
K12 yeah i do your not suppose to it on laptops because they don't sufficient cooling ding dong
The Tinker Depends which laptop he has, the alienware ones have pretty good cooling...
K12 yeah the alienware computers are really good just really expensive
Cant change my voltage..
But Overclocked:
Power Limit -> 121%
GTX 1080 -> 2100Mhz
VRAM -> 5600Mhz
could be more if i would be able to change voltage.. (and yeah, i have exactly the same settings like in the video..)

Dude your video's are awesome and super informative!!! thanks
When I’m boosting my
Voltage in increments how much do I increase at a time????
25
"my power limit" have no slider wtf
Does this help for some older graphics cards too? Because I remember someone telling me that the older ones do not work properly when overclocked.
"takes a lot more time." when you want to sit down, get stoned, and watch your computer kick ass you have nothing but time.
ya i know exactly
Help me!! Why is the Power Limit (%) greyed out and I can't move it!?
same problem..
no idea if u both figured it out but u need to go to the user interface in settings and go to bottom and change the skinning to V3 ull get it
It is still greyed out though.
Your gpu is a bit old its not like the newer one's
Buddy ,
I followed this method on my rig and wowee the difference on Just Cause 3 was Great !! using a palit 780 Jetstream and gained 230mhz on core clock and a whopping 385 mhz on memory clock. havent even touched the voltages yet! Using nvidia;s latest drivers.....
wtf i have a core clock of +1000!!! da fuq (yes i hit apply) what did i do?
Step 1. Run a number of stresstests.
Step 2. Assuming the temperature is high, proceed to the next step.
Step 3. Get a screwdriver and take the small screws off the side panel on your case.
Step 4. Take off the side panel.
Step 5. Bring some cooking oil, smear it all over the graphics card, get a nice steak, and enjoy your indoor BBQ.
yes this will make a good dinner.... hhmmmm what seasoning???
Bring it down!!!! Increase the core clock in increments, I use 20
well no, i think i broke afterburner. I saw no difference what so ever.
deadgamer then reset and reinstall afterburner
I cant even overclock my gpu...
This was perfect, explains the concept and how each slider relates. Thanks. I now got an extra 200Mhz free on my RTX2060.
Wow thank you, I run everything on 20 fps instead of 100. I fucked up my graphics card XD
reset it
Then you probably didn't do a +100MHz overclock, but underclocked your baby running @100MHz ... which is awesome, because it saves lots of energy xD
is a benchmark like in gta 5 enough?
harmon vermeeren That would work fine.
Thanks
Anything somewhat demanding is fine really.
Hey! Glad I found this video. I'm going to try these techniques on my old GTX 770. I'm not worried about it dying, as I only use this computer for gaming. I'll let you know how it goes!
he didnt show how to overclock the memory :*(
Key402 ex explained what to do in the end..
its simple
its literally the same thing
Who watch this in 2018?
Me
Chaot 88 still cant get the voltage to be unlocked
I do
Yup
Sorry 2019 here:/
Awesome! Venturing into OC'ing. Thanks Jayz!
And I didn't know that my pc has two gpu because I bought it off eBay and just found out:D
*facepalm* you should crack it open as soon as you get it lol, usually to see if anything came loose during shipping, maybe do some cable management. then you would've seen that you have 2 GPUs lol. did the ebay product description not state that it had an extra GPU under the hood?
+ThatSovereignGuy cpu
+Hydro Awesome101 you said gpu
+ThatSovereignGuy I meant cpu lol
+Hydro Awesome101 lol gotcha
Im scared lol
me too lol but just do it
youre like 1 year late he probably put his gpu on fire already
lol
Herbayse i'm watching in 2018 too
Same XD
Thanks for the video. I'll be sure to revisit as I'm just getting into desktops. Can't do a whole lot of overclocking with laptops.
Already had overclocked my graphics card but I saw this video so decided to watch it, I got my GTX 1060 3GB to 2150MHz on the core and 4400MHz on the memory
does the motherboard matter if you are overclocking a gpu
omg lmao that ad bro was fking awesome...trust me you want that man card back lol priceless!.....keep it up man every new vid I watch is even better then the last loving your content take care
Thanks Jay for it now I am not too scared but confused watching this a couple times will help Thanks
I have a 1060 6gb Jetstream can i copy his settings?
8:30, i dont have the prioritise thing. I can see the temp limit but not the other arrow. Do i have to activate something in the settings? I'm on version 4.3.0 with an asus 1060 o6g
Thanks man! Helped me get 20 more FPS in Heaven on my R9 Fury!
Hey Jay, I know this is old video but after installing NZXT Cam software I can no longer increase the power limit in MSI Afterburner. Any ideas?
super cool overclock tutorial !
Thank you for this video, it really helped me out with overclocking my gtx 770 and I am getting atleast a 20 fps boost from it. The core voltage was something I had a problem with so I just found a stable place without it.
thank you Jay very much helped me, its my first time trying to overclock something :)
Thanks for this tutorial dude! I can finally run power point presentations :D
I wanted to like the video twice, but i can not so i'm typing this message to say i like this video so much!
Thanks for the intro to OC'ing my gpu man, thumbs up!
Thanks for the information as usual :)
Running on an LG UW monitor (2560x1080)
So started off with a score of 1249 on Heaven Benchmark, after around 2 hours of tweaking, managed to get the score up to 1376.
Overclocking has really gauged my interest, I'll have to see what I can do when I get my new card!
Thank you so much, in 20 years of PC gaming never had a need to OC but now (finally) moving up to a 144hz monitor so doing all I can and this really helped. Was able to get a 10fps boost on my PNY GTX 960 4gb (& running 2600x ryzen) with the following settings:
Core Voltage -- +100mV
Power Limit -- +108%
Core Clock -- +171MHz
Memory Clock -- +301MHz
Haven't run an hrs/days long test yet, temps are averaging in the mid 80s as of now which I assume is high but safe.
Extreme hd settings - 1920x1080.
fps: 168.7
score: 7058
mon fps: 50.7
max fps: 287.9
currently overclocking my rtx 3080oc vision thankyou JayZ
I need help. Clock speeds are bigger, but real game performance is less smooth. My pc crashed eventually and did not load for 3 attempts, on 4th I've uninstalled afterburner
I played this video on my iPad in front of me while I was over clocking my Gpu for the first time ever and absolutely love this video. If I could give this 100 likes I would. Got +14 FPS on my gtx 970 for free. Thanks p.s. I failed to mention that after my first (control) benchmark I air dusted the tower as the previous user must have had pets because there was literally clumps of dust.
Problem... What is wrong when I go to that same part of the video at 5:45 and it wont let me select More. It's not highlighted
