Ludde 22222 you know it’s stable when there are no crashes, black screen, when stress testing/benchmarks/games. Don’t be scared when this happens. It’s normal. Just reboot. You can only get so far without adding more voltage to the chip, +2-5mv for nvidea and amd. If you’re heat is less than 80 degrees on full load keep going. 2 things will happen. You’ll get to a point where there is a loss in performance or too much heat. You need to find a balance. For example my gtx 970 is stable: mV: +50 Core: +120 (1512mhz) gaming +130 for benchmarks. Memory: +300 (1903 x 4 = 7600mhz) User defined fan curve on auto. 75 degrees stress tests 70 degrees gaming. I set fan speed 65% for 70 degrees and auto increments. I could probably push to 1555 because I’m still getting more performance out of it, but that’s enough for now. I predict +87mV for that speed.

At first I was kind of holding back from using this video because he changed the title, but after overclocking myself I realised nothing has changed in those three years. :)
His video is trash, there's no reason to have your gpu at a constant fan speed, its not going to decrease your performance on auto unless you're being thermal throttled which is very unlikely, what it will do is wear down your gpu fan's so they break quicker.
i now this is an old vid so hopefully you realized this since making the video, but you should NEVER select "start with windows" until AFTER you already found your max overclock.. Otherwise incase your pc gets into a crash loop and nothing is responding and you cant turn off the OC because nothing is responding, you can always reset your pc as an emergency way to undo the overclock and get stable again.. But if you have it set to start with windows you dont have that option. Youll reboot your pc and immediately jump back into an unstable crash mary-go-round. I know Panj already said this, but it's EXTREMELY important that you let the stress test run for at least 5-7 minutes under your GPU's max clock rates. The last thing you'd want is to crash in the middle of a serious moment during a long gaming sesh, due to the fact that the GPU is being driven insane over clocks speeds that are too high for the long term.

Have the same card dude. We actually overclocked super close to this video. Secondly I'd like to mention that you can adjust your fan/temp profile. I have my normal non-gaming fan speeds running at like 15% but then when I'm gaming my temps go above 62C and then my fan speeds ramp automatically to 70% and it goes up from there. Since I'm immersed when gaming I don't notice the high fan speeds

Don't refer to your last clock that wasn't artifacting as STABLE just because it survived a few seconds of Kombustor. Far longer testing needs to happen before you can determine that
READ: This CAN increase your temperatures. Specially if you set your GPU fan speed to a static speed meaning it will stay at whatever you set it to no matter how hot or cold it is. And if you increase the power limit and temperature limit, this is basically allowing your GPU to draw more power which almost always means higher temperatures and it will not thermal throttle as quickly as it would before. I'm not trying to scare you away from overclocking. It's fun and it can give you better performance in most cases. Just make sure you UNDERSTAND what you are doing. AND *THAT THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY*. At least in most cases. Refer to your manufacturer if you want to know this or google it. Few parts actually allow for overclocking without your warranty being voided. I don't know why that isn't mentioned in the video but just keep it in mind. DONT over clock if you dont want your warranty voided its simple. If you do go for it which I hope you will, check your temperatures every now and then specially a few minutes into playing to make sure they're under control. Generally you DONT want your GPU running any hotter than 75 °C (167 °F) for long periods of time. Keep it close to a comfortable 70 °C. I STRONGLY recommend setting up a fan curve instead of using the slider. If you do not know how to do this or don't understand anything else I have mentioned, please look it up. I also STRONGLY recommend if you don't feel comfortable with overclocking yet, don't change the temperature limit. This will ensure that if your card starts to overheat because you accidentally set the fan speed to 0 or something and started playing that the GPU will slow itself down to ensure it does not do any damage to itself and if the temperature still rises it will shut your system down to prevent further damage. If you increase the temperature limit this will happen at a HIGHER temperature.
Using the artifact detector seemed like the best method for me. Run the stress test for about 1000-1500 frames and it lets you know as soon as you get any graphics issues. Got to +100 on the core, +925 on the VRAM without any artifacts (fullscreen 1080p). Great tutorial, even 2 years on!
@@akacaali That means that there are no hitches or texture problems, but you need to tone down the memory and core clock a bit, core clock by -10 and memory clock by -50.
This was great. I overclocked my 3060ti from 1695mhz to 1995mhz and the memory from 7000mhz to 7300mhz. I didnt see any artifacts, I just didnt want to overclock to aggresively. I feel safe the way it is. My CPU is a 5600x overclocked from 3600 to 4500mhz.
you have to be careful, manufactures set this gap. on the memory, because, the termal pads lose their ability to disipate hot on time to time, so be careful and change your termal pad regularly, at least 6 months - 1 year depending on your pc usage. regards. jat, i burn a 1080 ti because of this.

I love your method! Personally got +120 on core and +200 on vram with this.

@@akacaali Wait how do u know that it crash, If it crash will it say 0/0 artifacts?
@@akacaali That means that there are no hitches or texture problems, but you need to tone down the memory and core clock a bit, core clock by -10 and memory clock by -50.

you have to be careful, manufactures set this gap. on the memory, because, the termal pads lose their ability to disipate hot on time to time, so be careful and change your termal pad regularly, at least 6 months - 1 year depending on your pc usage. regards. jat, i burn a 1080 ti because of this.

It's very important to use a quantifiable benchmark to test memory overclocks. gPU memory has error correction. You may reach a point where you don't have any graphical errors, but you lose performance because the memory is correcting errors.
