Hey guys! Thanks for such an informative video! It guided me through the process. But I’ve hit a serious snag. Everything’s in place except the connector that goes through the hole in the cover. It appears to plug in, but when I try to clamp it down, the plug appears to be pushed right back out! Is there some special sequence to get it in securely?

I get the very hard shifting (1-2, 2-3 & 3-4) & obd2 codes (transmission solenoid stuck on/off. After a while, it will stay in 5th gear & I start having to manually down shift. Usually when it shifts hard or slips then goes into gear, it'll squeal going into gear. Could I get by with just replacing the solenoids? ...& if so, how do I know which solenoids go in which spots? I'm so lost when it comes to automatic transmissions.

Now I need to change the 4th speed solenoid, when buying the solenoid kit, how do I identify which solenoid replaces each one in the TCM? Thank you and regards from Colombia, South America

Great video thanks for sharing I’m about to tackle this same job soon the guy I bought the car from bought it and it only had reverse and he pulled the solenoids and cleaned them and replaced the fluid and it shifts throughout all the gears but randomly has a hard shift into second gear kind like it’s quick shifting it’s not all the time but it’s often enough to be annoying and I don’t want it to damage the transmission because the car only has 76,000 miles and it’s in great shape what’s your opinion on it could it just need the solenoids replaced or maybe just the fluid again it’s been 2 years since he replaced the fluid and they have only put roughly 4000 miles on it since they bought it.

I have a 2012 Chevrolet CAPTIVA V6 FWD 3.0 car move forward but not reverse.. trani for this babies are not cheap nor easy to take out.. do you think it could be the transmission solenoids plate solenoid for the reverse?? plate/ solenoids could go between 400 to 700 full plate....trani $ 1400 to 1800 depending on miles..just looking for suggestions before making a final decision..? The Solenoid Kit you linked doesn't say if it works for a 2012 Chevy Sonic with the 1.8. Do you know if the kit you linked works for this vehicle?
