well, technically Shin Akuma is the more powerful of the two characters in game..... and canonically, the one thats fully mastered the satsui no hado. Only makes sense his has priority over E.Ryu.

Honestly, the Gouki Vs Evil Ryu fight is probably the sickest fight I've seen in any fighting game let alone SFA3.
It looks almost choreographed, like either you or the AI was reading opponent inputs. Crazy good.

the thing that many people still don't realize is that in terms of story if you think about it, evil ryu is basically a younger akuma(in allegorical/metaphorical sense)Evil ryu's ending in alpha 3 basically depicts to us how akuma became the character we know him as currently,you can even notice the parallels to evil ryu and akuma in the alpha series. Throughout the alpha series akuma is been hellbent on this quest to fight stronger opponents and in his alpha 2 story ending and some of his win quotes,akuma is hoping that someday someone will kill and defeat him,implying that he wants to die,in evil ryu's ending in alpha 3,after he kills shin akuma,he ends up becoming the supreme master of the fist(a title akuma himself still holds in every sf game today),
he defeats basically every character in the game and his last line before his ending closes out is where...? Where can I find the one who can defeat him,which means ryu now as akuma eventually takes on the same pain and misery that gouki once went through,continuing the cycle.
I honestly wish capcom games could've made a storyline in the games,where evil ryu and ken represent young versions of akuma/gouki and Gouken,like they could show us akuma and gouken's past through ryu and ken....metaphorically...imagine Ken mastering the power of nothingness
They kind of do that in the 2005 movie,hey it’s been a while. They actually do go into Ryu and Akumas past to either show a blood connection or note how they could both go down the same path

Shin Akuma's Shungokusetsu beats Evil Ryu's because his moves faster. It's almost like he combines the Asura Senkuu(the 'teleport') with the Shungokusetsu(which is slower in his normal form) to have that speed. Evil Ryu's both slower and doesn't have full screen range, basically his is best used as part of a close quarters combo.

Apparently Evil Ryu didn't learn from the first round that his Raging Demon is no match for Akuma's Raging Demon. Had he done anything else at the end, he woulda won this.

When trying to recreate the intro it only proves that akuma and evil ryu do not match in power, Raging demon vs Raging demon, the winner is decided by who does in first. In this case, not so much... Also if you look closly akuma's raging demon is faster than ryu's

Shin Akuma's RD is faster, if it was against regular Akuma nothing would have happened

In the game, Shin Akuma is more powerful than evil Ryu, so it makes since his has priority. But Evil Ryu's raging demon has priority over regular Akuma's raging demon.

Bison's origins are more interesting, he's better antagonist than akuma, maybe not stronger cause his body's limit but definitely is better than akuma
