    Update...we DID miss it during the Olympics...so we got a 7-day FREE TRIAL to TH-cam TV, (plus $35/month after that). Cheaper than cable, AND a better channel selection!

    I am from western pa and I have comcast not happy with it . I called to get my bill lowered and ended upt advancing my bill to another 40.00 . I feel this company is very greedy and Unethical. The person I talked to at first gave me a different price then what I ended up with. Not happy at all with them.

      @@MarkReviews must be nice only thing I can get from them is 20 Mbps with no signs of being upgraded. I'm stuck using Cox that has the same practices of data caps as Comcast. It sucks but where am I going to go 20 Mbps dsl no going to work for me.

      I will pray to the Internet gods on your behalf that better options move to your area. Locally, Google Fiber is available about 10 miles from my house...but it hasn't QUITE reached me yet. Some day. Some day.

    Comcast/Xfinity is sucked! It's the worst company! I can't wait till my contract is over and then I will run! My internet speed is not even half of the speed they sold and promised to me! My stream TV is ever worsen!

      Bubble Gum I have Uverse with only 18 mbs, never an issue, had one outage in 15 plus years. Know many people with Comcast Xfinity that have constant speed issues some saying that their 75 mbs internet is slower than AOL on weekends. Be careful with them they truly are a criminal empire.

    We have just Internet with Comcast but it was a fight to get it. We live in California and we had to go into our Comcast store and pretty much demand just Internet

      I live in Virginia and I just signed up for the Internet only, they gave me no trouble at all and didn't try to make me get anything more. I couldn't believe they didn't pressure or pester me to buy more.

    I just did a move to one side of the Twin Cities in Minnesota (St. Paul to Minneapolis), and in doing so I also switched providers. Just like you, the only viable choices in my area were that of Comcast/Xfinity or CenturyLink as well, and I went with the latter of the 2 here.
    During my time with them at my place in St. Paul, they were great for me. I was getting the speeds I was promised, with little to no interruptions. Customer service was even great to me too, which was very surprising especially considering all the horror stories I've heard. Of course, when I first signed up they tried to up-sell me too, but that's what all cable/telco providers do. After I explained my situation about how I was doing TV through one of the providers of it via the Internet (that being Sling at the time), they understood, and just got me set up with my Internet. On the day of my install, a tech came at the time promised (heck, even sooner that anticipated) to get me going, and from then on out service with them was perfect.
    Fast forward to today to my move over to Minneapolis, and now I'm with another provider. That being a local ISP that serves this area called US Internet. I now have gigabit fiber service through them for just $70/month, and boy could I not be happier. This particular company is the vision of what an ISP should be: selling only Internet service and (if and only if you desire it), home phone service. Nothing more, nothing less. Best of all, in this particular area, they pre-wire select buildings with their fiber connection so all you have to do is either call them up or sign up online and then they do whatever they need to get your wall ethernet jack up and running.
    And to get a taste of how awesome this gigabit goodness has been for me, here's a result of one of the speed tests I have ran on it: imgur.com/a/8HZrv3d (keep in mind, that is on wifi, which is how I'll be using the network anyway, but still very solid speeds nevertheless)

    Mark ! I appreciate the intel about Comcast and how they operate. Thankfully, I decided to go month-to-month. I pay about 10 or 15 dollars more a month which is nowhere near the prices Verizon was charging me on contract. That's why I've never been a fan of contracts. Your video and some of the comments on this thread confirms my suspicion about there media companies and how corporate greedy they really are.
    I've left Verizon in because if how they do business and so far Xfinity has been ok with me probably because I have a triple play and paying way less than what Verizon was charging for FiOS. Honestly, its the best move I've made so far. But I will NOT consider a contract with them in the near future. I'm weighing my options and seeing whats out there that would suit my family's needs and wants before I cut the cable cord completely, because cable is really the most expensive part of the three(3).

    Currently at the same point you mentioned, Internet only desired, called Comcast, asked what they could do, since my bill is going up 45.39% this next period or 79.95/month just for I-Net 75mbps. No offers just for I-Net, up sale, add basic cable as you mentioned, but I do not need this. So went to a competitor, WOW 39.95 for 100Mbps for 12 or24 months no increases, or regular no long term commitment is 49.95 for 100Mbps (price may increase over time?) No install fee, use my own modem SB6141. Cancel of Comcast the First week of November.
    WOW has many customers in my neighborhood and without issues. Fine print on WOW a early termination fee of $345 decreasing at 15/month, may consider the non contract of 49.95 and chance the increases in the future to avoid a termination fee if I move/relocate.

    I don't know why Comcast is not straight forward with their pricing. I left after a year with them because of the cost. I don't think they liked me because I refused their cable bundles and when they tried to have me rent a modem, I was like, "No, I will just buy my own." It made cancelling a bit easier though, because I had no equipment to return.

      They also lie about their "unlimited data" plans. 5 years I never had to worry about a stupid data cap but 1 new 💻 later and I'm going through 1tb in less than a week. 1tb of internet data usage before additional charges apply?!?!?! So much for an online career. My grandma was right. In reality you have to have money to make money... The rich stay rich and the poor stay poor.

      just a random gal Without a modem they cannot get the service to your home, hence they would not be able to bill you. The modem should be supplied with the service, you should never have to pay for a rental or buy one. One more great scam from this asshole company.

      I have century link for more than 4 years. I pay 35.00 for life. Speed is only 10 Mpb but I am not a gamer. At this speed I can watch TV programs and happy with results. All my programming is online. Also no data limits with Century.

      I got cumcast n unlimited data. Never charged an overage yet at least. But if they do I'll just do what my dad does. Switch to Verizon for 2 years for cheap n once that goes up then Switch back to Comcast.

    This guy is right, they lie so much, my bill so high, I am sick and tired of them. They don't work with you at all. I just got a roku box, and get internet, you can watch everything, like cable. I need to save money. The customer service is not for the customer, He is so right. I am on a fixed income, they give you the run around, they will interupt your service in a hot minute. I have internet and tv, my bill suppose to be $ 123.00 a month, it jump to $ 169-$180.00. I tried to keep internet, I told me the internet will be high alone. They told me I have to paid the full amount, They would not cut me off my service. They advertise $ 11.00 for low income. So good by, I can't afford cable. I had enough of them.

    I have been with centurylink for over 5 years started out at 20 mbps for 19.99 a year it goes up at the year end and you have to haggle 29. 99 for 2 years then 32.50 for the next two years and always the last month in the year contract the price goes up 10.00 then it will shoot up to 70.00 if you do not renew on time and they get you for a partial month high fee and the yearly contract price keeps going up a little every year, it is only 20 mbps i remind you. I started out with Comcast also 29.99 a year before centurylink and they do they same thing except after the 2nd year they wont haggle they just say sorry come back in 6 months to be a new customer and start the whole process over again, when Comcast disconected me they ripped the cord off the side of my house going to the street pole and left my cable access box dangling from the side of my house.

    All DSL customers need to make sure their line coming in is shielded, and that they are close enough to the exchange to get a good quality connection. If those two things are good, the quality of the connection is much better than cable.

    I have Comcast internet and don't want cable TV. I have no use for it. My only option to upgrade my internet is to buy their tv packages. Plus all their good deals are only for new customers. It sucks. I have Frontier as another option, but have heard bad things about them.

      You are so right. It used to be you could go with Comcast for the 2 year newbie deal, then when it's up renew for another newbie deal. Apparently they won't do that anymore, so the only options are streaming with internet only plans or switching companies every 2 years.

    21 years with Comcast and finally got tired of every year playing games with them. I’m getting to old to keep playing games and feeling ripped off. I had the same problems you did. Now I have piece of mind and more monthly cash in my pocket.

    I coukd recomend betwern us the best way to lowet the bill is cancling and then reactivating the account or cancelling 1 services and then readded so you get a lower rate. Many times it work

    I have Comcast for about 15 years and twice a www they have to restart my modem and half a year I complained and the reduced my bill from 170.00 to 140.00 and now you have to use you r computer to pay the bill rather than the phone and they keep on bouncing you back to the computer, will in Feb of next year my bill my go up 70.00 and than I will be history with Comcast and the rep just don't care.

      Yes, I definitely could have, and most videos on my channel are recorded indoors (so you might like those more), but this is a vlog-style video...designed to be filmed on-the-go, raw and unedited. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it's fun to mix things up. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    They are all rip off artist. Centurylink is slow. I was with Comcast for 14 yrs and they play me dirty. With Centurylink I pay $64.00 amonth they are also terrible.

    filipinos are getting that speed(25mbps)@ around $27.oo so might wanna dig in deeper into this kind of offers.
    Xfinity is giving away 25mbps for free using xfinity hotspots, just sayin bruh.

    Same. But in my area Comcast is the only option. I have a piece of coax coming into my house. Everything else is mine. I use rabbit ears and digital TV. Comcast insisted on giving me a "free" cable box which is unneeded and has never been taken out of the box. But still I get TV taxes, Local TV fees, TV Box service fees, etc. i suspect that the internet connection is being divided and shared with my hundreds of neighbors as a hotspot. Internet shuts off during high traffic times regularly. Speed is great but definitely not worth $128 per month. My only other option is DSL.

    Bundling services is not a scheme bro. That is just how it is. The more you buy with someone the cheaper it is. Ever go in the store and see 1 candy bar for 1.39 but if you buy 2 candy bars its 2 bucks. Same principle man. Not sure what rock you have been under. Not saying that xfinity is the best company in the world. They are far from it, but their bundled services are not scam. Now if you are worried about a companies scheme to make more money any legal way they can. Then I would suggest you crawl back under that rock and never buy anything again, because every company out there schemes to make more money.

    They wont let you choose internet only? So the best thing i'd say is to go into the store and get off the phone. Pricing is at 39.99 for a decent speed. The lowest speed they is still perfect from the sounds of it comcast 29.99 speed tier would have worked.

    Buy your own modem guy. $60 for 500 mbps (free install). Get on Xfinity mobile and get that cell phone bill down to $12.

    Just got rid of comcast internet, phone, and tv last week. Was paying $160 a month for the bundle. Internet was in and out for months starting before the quarantine. Switched to at&t fiber for $60 a month and youtube tv at $50 a month.

    I did literally the same, but when I moved to AT&T i spent more money on tecs than on the service so, sometimes, guys, the quality might be worth it instead of the price, at least for me that's how it works, it makes no sence getting a 30 dollar internet crapy service that haves outages each 3 days with 2 visits for Tec minimum per/month, then actually paying a little bit more for something good that I know that at least is not gonna stop me from doing my everyday usage on it, so yeah they got me back, but now I prefer quality before offers

    File a complaint with the FCC. Comcast will be forced to call you to try to resolve the issue and will have to report the results to the FCC.

      Mark Reviews get an Amazon Firestick use TH-cam to learn how to install Kodi & The Beast interface . Watch anything you want for free cause its only streaming . I live in Virginia but here we only pay for Internet . Cause 2 years ago we use to have the cable and every premium channel and wow our bill was around 250 a month with the 3 cable boxes . So since I got the Amazon Firestick we are now only paying $125 for a very fast speed Internet split between 3 people . We have Verizon Fios .

    i am with Comwave just the phone, but the service is bad i have read alot about comwave and i am glad they do not have full service out hear where i live ,my time with them will be up in five months

    I work for comcast chat rep to be accurate and yes. Its bullshit why they let u guys repackage while add a service for a lower deal until you get the max service of quadplay

    I use Stockholm Stadsnät, its 1000mbit fiberoptics and its on utilities, i dont actually pay for it directly.

    Good luck with centurylink. They have slow speeds here (might be fast depending where you live). But if you have slow speeds then good luck with all the technicians.

      +Meduimdock CenturyLink is pretty good here. Really, Comcast and CenturyLink are our only choices and they both have pretty good speeds. Comcast is better, but they're so expensive.

      Meduimdock you are right on the mark. They got a monopoly basically in the S E. Comcast an my city are working to keep google fiber out. I wouldn't be so upset if I got what I'm paying for. $300 dollars / month an I still suffer horrendous load times, buffering circles an screen freezes. I don't just blame Comcast but local officials. Life is to short for this madness

      Meduimdock in my area century link is a downgrade.. 12mbps was the higher end BUT even when it was 5mbps we were able to freakin stream on three devices at once!!!! Meaning: all of this is can be classified as a FIRST WORLD PROBLEM

    Making me pay the $90 fee cause it’s been three years since someone in my room used Xfinity. Like wtf I didn’t choose this room. The army gave me a code and said this is your room. I think it’s pretty messed up to make me pay for it when I could get moved to a different room at any given time and who knows have to pay the fee again in that room. Probably be 2 min tops and be like it’s all good and $90 down the drain. And it ain’t like I can just switch to a room that supposedly all ready to go for self install. Shouldn’t even be a fee like that on a military installation.

    I cut the cord in 2006.. I only use internet. I watched with horror as temp chairman Ajit Pai, of the FCC got rid of net-neutrality over a 95% objection. I can't go back to super basis”. It is unwatchable.. You are right, they are a cable company but they sell unused air time to present paid programming that we have to pay for also. But that's TV. I am worried about paywalls on the internet, Added fees for websites and subscriptions for content that should be in public domain. I could go on..

    You can get internet only. You can also change your plan to that online. It’s a business, and they’re going to try and get you to buy more.

      I tried, and couldn't find it anywhere, which is why I called in the first place...they don't exactly make it easy! But that's the point. Like you said, it's a business. Haha.

      @@MarkReviews I have comcast internet only (400/30Mbps). Unfortunately I'm not in an area that offers gigabit with any carrier, so comcast is the ISP that offers the fastest speeds. When I first moved I got the "Triple Play" package, but never used the TV. I can understand being a bit frustrated with them because they do try to force you into the packages, but if you just call them they will downgrade you to just internet pretty easily. Also there is no comparison in quality between cable/DSL with cable being the much better option. Of course, if speed/reliability don't mean as much to you, then for sure going with the cheaper option makes sense.

    I have to use Comcast because all other internet services only offer 25 megabits per second service. My biggest problem is that they keep giving me cable channels I don't ever watch. I will try this year to renegotiate what cable channels I get.

    You gotta pay to play. If you can't afford 100 bucks then idk. I have unlimited internet, the x1 premium package with 6 TVs. I have no complaints. I can afford it so no issues here.

    I HATE comcast they call every day sometimes several times. They use fictitious names on the caller ID like University of Houston, or Dow Chemical to get you to answer then
    " WELCOME TO COMCAST " Making it sound like you called THEM. They hang up on you if you ask to talk to a manager or tell them to stop calling. @#!%$&#

    Comcast, the games they play. NBC is owed by Comcast. They purposely slow down the audio sync with the video on my NBC channel. Its the only channel that is out of sync, when this happens. I only have their internet service, and I use Roku streaming service. I believe Comcast is attempting to try and upgrade my speed which if I complained, would recommend. Won't happen because I have an antennae that I can switch to watch NBC.

    I think you have a really big point and you are right in many things specially because of the price cuz we don't get the money from trees and if you are not interested in other features what is the point but i've worked in comcast before and it is really hard to give customers the price they are expecting from the ads. This is how it works. Comcast has there everyday prices you could think its too high or ok but it's there regular price for that service. Everytime the system detects customer has 1 setvice or 2 depends it will auto give promo to upgrade does services for a completely lower rate. Sometimes 1 services turns out to be more expensive than having 2 or 3 services. Unfortunetly well when we upgrade to lower the rate well if you cancell a service that pkg everything goes back to that higher everyday price.

    they be has slow as frontier on dsl center link good luck i would like frontier fiber but they are slow at upgreading but my hotspot works on xbox live and on gta v steam just in a good area comcast can cut your cable if you make them mad in the pittsfor mi 49271

    Our apt building wired for comcast..no dishes or options..had comcast for years got it out 5 years ago..dont want wifi.. may like to try them again. Just want ok internet

    ya comcast in pittsford mi 49271 on home use has 1000 gb cap now i have atat hotspot plus one can downloade as much as i what i do arouned 1000 gb a mon mabey a bit faster 50 downloade 16 uploade

    They all do it same with Verizon I just left and got internet only from xfinity it’s a game they all play. Oh Verizon Fios offered to let me use my own modem after telling me for years I had to use theirs and pay a rental fee on it. But I told them to get lost it was too late I had already bought a modem to use with xfinity. I won’t return to Verizon for sure.

    I live on the east coast and currently have Fios but I'm not really happy with the tv or internet. I miss the Weather channel so i am switch back to Comcast in the next couple months. I would love to cut the cords completely but i like having my local weather and news. I wish i had a better option.

      I don't know how long you've been away from Comcast, but the Weather channel is not what it once was. They no longer have the continual stream of cities with temperatures, including a continual stream of your local weather. At least that's what happened here in Albuquerque.

    Next week leaving Comcast to Centurylink.. 2.5 times the speed, for $5 dollars less.. and no data caps... 140 Mbps on new fiber... in the Year+ since posting, what are Your thoughts of CL?

      Still love it! Reliable, cost-effective, and helpful technicians available online all the time. It has only gone down 2 or 3 times in a year. And only for a few minutes.

      If you're on the fiber network you're good to go. That's even better than a cable network. However, I would stay away from the DSL unless you're close to an exchange and even then I would still prefer cable.

    They charge me $95 and change a month for cable only. They just took away Turner Movie Classic's which is now a part of their "sports package". I guess they needed to save that extra $10 bucks, for that new "Xfinity" store building they just put up.

    I use my towns internet 78 bucks for internet for 15 megs its copper/fiber fiber inside copper outside we need a phone line EVEN THOUGH WE DON'T USE IT but no data caps so yea we are moving to a place that has century link so any advice you could give me @Mark Reviews ?

    I got rid of AT&T about 2 years ago. They continue to call me asking me sign back up. I tell them every time, I want a fiber line to the house. Or it’s no go. I currently have Mediacom cable and they do they same thing with the bundles to make it cheaper deal.
