Outstanding, Mike! Thanks for the replay. Your goblins are rocking :). I noticed two misses. 1. Tomes can only be played in conjunction with Spells (not Blessings) and 2. During the Arcane Study Phase, all players resolve study, not just the active player. Looking forward to seeing if the North can hold out! I agree it's looking grim. Your Sea Reavers should certainly have defeated that goblin warrior army on the Coast. He's ferocious. Extra rations for him.
Thanks for the corrections! I'll call them out in my next installment. I'm really enjoying the game solo (this is my 3rd scenario) and I look forward to getting it in front of my group.
@@CounterAttackOh, one further (and more important) correction: a unit must end its activation in order to place a control marker in a Settlement, so Fjordland could not have taken Nordhome and then built additional units there. I've tried to be very careful not to allow "daisy-chaining" in the game. That's why spells like Ritual of Vigilence prohibit casting inside Settlements. Teleport obviously slipped through the cracks :).
Great series of videos I really appreciate that! I'm following the playthrough to learn and understand the concepts! Thanks! If you don't mind, at 25:22 you built an army on a settlement that you start control the current turn, from 10.1 "An Army may not be built in an occupied hex, in a Settlement hex made friendly in the current turn"
Really nice game. The maps are beautiful. I sure hope this sparks the war game world into making fantasy war games. They should see how well they sell. I appreciate your playthrough, ty!
Hello Wardrobe - thanks! Yes, I am not dead! I watched your Axis & Allies video the other day. Since you enjoyed it you might want to check out the championship plays presented by @BoardGameNation - they made me want to revisit the game.
Thank you for this fantastic video. I discovered you and I love how you explain things. I might have misunderstood the rules, but it seems in this particular Scenario than players start during SUMMER Year 1, not SPRING. Hence, 1 more Turn overall (not sure which Faction benefit from it tho). Anyway, THANK YOU again, keep at it.
Not sure you could have take Nordhome. I have a feeling that to take controll you have to end your action on the settlement, which would mean no further movement, and you have moved out of it on the same turn.
I was so happy to see that Counter attack is back in action, you were missed... thank you very much!
Your plays are my favorite on YT

@@moellerc1 Good catch. Thank you. I'll try to over that in part 3.
@@moellerc1 So at time marker 34:35, once the control marker is placed, the hero stack should have been "spent" for the rest of the turn?
@@aceshelman correct Ace.
Very entertaining and educational.
Thank you sir.
Fantastic video! Looking forward to seeing how the rest of the raid goes!
Great series of videos

That's no longer in the rules guess it was updated anyway you now can build in or adjacent to settlements the same turn if its not besieged.
@ I just took it from September version of the rule book. I definitely will check again
Long time no see. Thanks!
Good video really enjoying it thnx

Love this! Why's it taking so long to upload the next turn??? 😆
Great game, well played:) Thanks !!!

38.06 "This leader's dead forever" that's not the case. Eliminated heroes are shuffled back into the unused hero pool.
What happened to you? :) You were gone a long time
Work, travel, and despair ha ha. I've ordered a big board game table with a lid which will make it much easier to film.
@@CounterAttack Good to see you back!
