This video is fantastic, a joy to watch. Up there with Bridger videos for learning this fine game. Please do many more. I will watch and recommend them!
I love this game and I like watching well made videos of people who know how to play it. Subscribed and liked! One thing as I watch, naval or land battles won net the active player one mil cube for the first combat in a round. You shorted Castile so far. At 46:37 Ottomans should have included that light ship in the trade protection slot in their naval battle with Venice, they are compelled too, I believe.
Also, the Aegean Archipelago is a distinct Area that happens to also look like an additional sea. Ottoman ships never once left the Aegean Sea Zone. It is not entirely clear to me you ever need ships to transport a soldier from one island to another as all three provinces are all effectively in it (not that you did, just clarifying the consequences for later). Here Ottomans moving ANY land units to the Archipelago would trigger both Naxos and Creta soldiers. But on the plus side the Ottomans don't have to transport again to siege the various islands down. In game terms they are effectively close enough.
1:24:25 You determine trade Power with Ownership. To Own a province a PR must be the De Jure and De Facto owner. Bordeaux's De Jure owner is France and it's De Facto owner is England, as far as trade is concerned no one owns Bordeaux for this Trade Action.
WOW, what a video. you worked so hard keeping track of all 6 players. I am just learning the game and this is one of the best videos out there. I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, but I sure wish you could have shown at least one of the Peace and Rebel processes.
This game at first glance seems insanely complicated. And it is. But the flow seems easy to grasp, and the individual actions aren’t complicated. There’s just so much to do. It’s a cool sandbox. I hope to be able to get my hands on this game eventually. Hope to see more rounds of this!
Very good video. Looking forward to the next one. 1:04:00 The War of the Roses card reads: exhaust 2 Manpower OR add unrest to Wales and Wessex. You hit them with both. 1:33:30 I don't think England can count Bordeaux for Trade power. The definition of Ownership on p.4: "When the rules refer to Ownership of Provinces, they mean Provinces where you have a Town , and where there is no Vassal , Rebel , *Enemy town*, or Occupied token on the same Province".
Could you do a little kickstarter or something :D id be more than happy to spend some coin on getting those videos. I have played this game 3 times with 3 players and every single time we had to end the game without finishing it because we hit some rule barrier that we could not get any answers to - super frustrating. Most of the time in the peace negotiation phase. Edit: would also be super helpful if you include time stamp chapters for the different countries so people can jump into a specific country action
Love that you are doing this! Thank you. A couple things I’m not sure about. 1. I thought the Coastal regions are land areas. I think the Ottomans only need adjacent ships in the adjacent sea area (which you already had) for troop transport. 2. To enforce Parial Victory against a PR, I think you need 2x the deployed troops. I don’t think France could enforce Victory unless England Surrendered.
@@CounterAttack Don’t sweat the errors. This game is so big you are bound to make mistakes. I’ve noticed that errors don’t reduce the fun of seeing the story unfold.
@@CounterAttack Yaaaaas! Given the way you play with your talkthrough about what do you do, this channel could be valuabe assets for people learning the game now and in the future.
Hi to all, there is an error: following the rules, Spain could do a Crusade only against Muslim , but Granada is in a Diverse faith zone, so he can't call the Crusade, am I right? Furthermore, if he could, he should do also 1 point plus the 2 mercenaries he gained yet.
@LUCAFERRUCCI-eq6ln The area is diverse faiths, but the realm is Muslim. That is what matters - the state religion of the realm, not the religion of the people in the area which might be different.
@@CounterAttack Ok, I see that the player's aid said it is Muslim, I forgot it. I have another question: for the rule 18.5 if the Emperor tries to totally annex the two little NPR of Mainz and Pfalz at the end of the War, he has to lose a point of Imperial Authority, right? Cause they are of the same religion of Austria. Finally, I have another question: I see that the Austria is not uncontested papal controller, so, from the rules, he can't gain the bonuses, but only the actions, right?
@@LUCAFERRUCCI-eq6ln Right - Austria should lose imperial authority. If I ever get part two out you'll see I make a correction - basically Austria can instead vassalize those NPRs and avoid losing authority. The papal controller gets all the bonuses and actions except for victory points - they have to be uncontested to gain victory points.
I am looking forward to the next 15 rounds! Love this game!

@@6cylindertuned Thank you for that clarification. I'll try to call it out in a future video.

Oh man. I've already started filming round 2 so I won't be able to correct this in game. Thanks for pointing out the errors though.
