Thanks for this. I watched your videos on Fields of Fire and they helped me alot. I have actually played this game and it is very good. I need to point out one error though. You said on pulling the 3rd End Operations card means the turn is over. I actually believe you still end the turn when the 2nd card is pulled. Having 3 End Operations cards just makes it more likely that some units won't be activated that turn - iirc they definitely get activated the next turn...so no one formation ever goes more than one turn without being activated.
It is a fairly easy game to pick up. The rule book looks daunting - but it's so well laid out, nice big font and lots of pics that you just can't go wrong. Dive in - you'll be surprised
The identifier on the NATO units (particularly the infantry) is Coy/Bn Bde/Div, so B/3 1/8 is Company B, 3rd Battalion, 1st Brigade, 8th Division.
Very good explanation of the setup and rules. You did such a great job demystifying this kinda monster game
Awesome looking game. Ty for the playthrough! I may have to pick this one up. I appreciate it
Always great play thoughts, gotta support my neighbors, I live an hour North just past Temecula on the 215 freeway.
Nice! I'm in the San Diego bay area (Coronado).
I'm liking the mechanics of this game and really enjoying your playthrough!
if i recall correctly, turn ends on 2nd End Ops card - even when the scenario has 3 in the deck. Worth double checking that.
You are correct. I catch this around Turn 3. Thanks!
45:02 From Facebook by Keith Tracton:Yes it is blocked if it clips the corner of the woods hex.
Ah good to know.
It also passed through two cultivated (obscuring) hexes, which would block LOS on a level 0 -> level 0 LOS (in season).
Has anyone played this with miniatures. I am tempted to give it ago.
Not easy to play the game and review the rules while taking video...thanks for posting looking forward to more vids.

Ah - thanks for pointing that out!
Very interesting, but hard to watch the original setup part with the camera wobbling. Any chance you could get a small tripod?
Sorry about that. I have some tripod-like gear but it's hard to use on a large area. I need to either get a stabilized camera or find a better rig.
Oh great!
ugh I still have mine in the shrink with the solo assistant but it's very intimidating and I just can't bring myself to read the rules yet
The game is actually very learnable and playable. Give it a shot!
@@CounterAttack I think I might I'll watch more of your vids and see. I really want to learn it or grand tactical series
Me too :)

how did the Americans in the village know the wnermy were coming if they had no LOS?
Battlefield intelligence not modeled in the game ;)
So i had to dislike this video so i can like it again. TH-cam needs duble like pronto!
