  • Part 1: Here I assemble my 1999 Honda Valkyrie carburetors that I finished cleaning. I don't show me assembling every carburetor because I believe that would get boring (there are 6!).

This series of videos on rebuilding the Valkyrie carbs was a life saver for me! Doing the internal rebuilds on each of the carbs is a piece of cake, BUT, the real fly in the ointment comes when you try to reassemble the six carbs and the fuel and air rails! Thanks so much for making this excellent video. I could not have put it all back together without your help. I know this for a fact, because I tried and failed until I watched your video.

You kinda sorta forgot about the rubber tubes for the air cutoff valves!

Wow! You're right! I did leave that footage out of the final edit. You can see the rubber tubes installed in Part 2.
Thanks for pointing that out, I will be more careful in the future.

Tom question I am at the point to separate the carburetors. I need to know do the synchronization screws & springs need to come out before I separate them or is there something else I am missing? I am using Clymers and the downloaded factory manual and not very clear. I got the tool from Redeye and wood like in your video.

I recommend removing the synchronizer and thrust springs before separating. The thrust spring will fly somewhere and the sychro spring MAY do the same.
Everytime springs are involved you need to be careful of them flying off!

@@ronanderson2779 It's good to be apprehensive. Just take good pictures before, during and after. Most of is to take your time and do no rush!
