Hello and welcome to my channel! My name is Tom and I hope you enjoy watching my videos. I am what can be called "A jack of all trades, but a master of none".
I have worked with tools my whole life. I have been known to say "I had a wrench in my hand while learning how to crawl." I was great at taking things apart, but putting them back together without having parts left over, not so good. Lol.
I watch a lot of how-to and DIY videos on TH-cam (duh, really? Say it isn't so.) and thought since I started My Honda Valkyrie project I could document and put it on TH-cam. Easy, right? Wrong! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the heck out of doing this but was not aware of how much work it takes to create videos!
Anywho... I have the Honda Valkyrie Project mostly completed. I have a couple more things to do with it. The Honda Goldwing Project was not planned but I had been driving by this bike on the way home everyday and thought that it would be a good project for TH-cam as well.
Enjoy!

Your content is amazing, so thankful for your videos
If i have any issuewith video it would to not use brown scratch pad. That is very rough. Maybe green but for sure follow up using blue to really polish cylinder. Other wise great video

The strps of the rubber pieces at 8:20 is what i need tobsee in detail
Doing my GL1000 carbs tomorrow. Have only ever replaced throttle cables, so this is very interesting. Thanks for the excellent video.
where do you buy the oem fuel sender unit? can’t find it anywhere
Where did you buy your rebuild kits at
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do I need to replace bearings?
Very clear instructions
Great videos
Thanks for this...I was able to use the concepts here to unfreeze the piston in my master cylinder on my 2003 GW. It's as good as new.
Guess you gave up
I saw no mention of the feeler gauge adjustment?
Thanks great video
I will be removing mine today great video.

I am a new owner of a 1985 GoldWing. Boy oh boy, is it gonna need some work. You, my friend are 'Heaven' sent. Thank-you so very much for these videos. I watched the carburetor rebuild. Tricky. I might pull it off after watching that incredible video.
Very good video. It's going help me alot very soon when i have to rebuild the pump on my H180. It started to leak a little last season. Thanks for the video.
needle jet? mine didnt have one!!
I was just gifted an 86 aspencade, this is by far the most helpful video on the matter, and made me realize that if I have to pull the tank, I might as well have a tire on hand especially since the bikes been sitting about 12 years
Very informative, thank you for your video. Although I don't think the music is necessary! It actually takes away from the video..
Amigo ocupo pistones y anillos para un motor 1100 1985 y el juego de empaques algún lugar en donde pueda comprar? Que sea seguro por supuesto gracias y saludos...
Wait… you didn’t put the second seal in (the dust seal)? Leave them out altogether?
Great video. Simple to do. Great tips, also. I would not use a metal peak, I use hard plastic one from Amazon.
I own a 2020 Goldwing DCT Tour. Simply to say, incredible machine. I do almost everything in my garage I am still not sure about doing clearance adjustment. Never done that. I got a quote for 700.00 by my dealer. I might just let them do it. I don't do heavy miles per year and so, don't think its worth it for me.
What year gl is that from. Mine is a 1975 and doesn’t have the accelerator pump on the bowls. It has it on top.
Your watch says 5:55
I'm trying to rebuild my master cylinder for my 84 aspencade 1200. for some reason the plug wont come out of the cylinder. I've removed the c-clamp but nothings happening. Any ideas??
I have the same problem on My gl 82 and you can not use heat because de aluminium I'm trying putting it on diesel for a couple days and will see 👍 👌
@@Rambo-lc5bl the way I got mine out was I held it in a vise grip and smacked it out with a rubber mallet. One good swing and it should come out
Excellent video. I need to replace the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb assembly. It looks like the same hose you left connected. Is it possible to remove that hose without removing the carbs?
Hello, didn't the coating block your two filters? I like to do the same, but not sure about the filters. Thanks!
do you put a syn gauge on after you installed them or does that get you good enough?
Great video Tom definitely helping me form a plan of attack here
hOW DID YOU MOUNT THE STUDS TO THE TANK?
How did you get that so clean?
My reserve fuel line is clogged. I haven't been able to use it. It is not rust but fuel sludge.
Did you disassemble 2&4? Or just stick them in cleaner?
Hey Tom THANKS for takin the time to do this video--please correct it
Wow. Awesome work. Congratulations. I will need to remove mine. I found a leak. So not sure how I will fix it. Thanks for sharing
Did the parts for the rebuild come in a kit? or did you purchase them separately? If it was a kit, can you post where you purchased it and how much? Thanks for the helpful video.
Thanks for the video, did this cure your problem? I have a 1999 with 24,000 miles and it sounds like it is miss firing( a pop every once and a while)at idle on the 2 4 6 side runs great at highway speed will no loss of power. I'm going to change plugs and wires with the coils anyway. I'm trying to figure if I'm going to pull the carbs off just to take a look before installing the tank. Thanks again.
Hey there, I just watched your entire video and I got all the way to the end and I found that there was a washer that appears to to go in before the c-clip. Can you tell me if there's a possibility that there should have been a washer there? One came with my kit also?
Can you send me info on where each hose goes on the carburetors. I’m stuck bc I cant find and pictures of the lyout
Brilliant stuff. I love this kind of video because it makes restoring these parts much less daunting when clearly explained. I now feel I could tackle this job myself. Where did you get the new rubber boot etc from please?
How does she relieve herself when she's in the cart?😅
Thanks for sharing. It is a lot of work to remove it
Any idea what size at little round washer is question mark
Great video. Pt 1 & 2. Detailed for people that need it LOL
Would there be any reason that I can't pop off that top Reservoir without removing the whole master cylinder unit? All I want to do is make sure that the holes in the reservoir are not plugged. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
