Nat we are living in a time of environmentalism the best form of recycling is to re use. Stick with what you have son and in the spirit of the channel, make do and mend. All the best
Nat, for plastic repair I swear by Plas tex repair kit. Consists of a powder and clear fluid catalyst. Used it many times and it has never let me down.
paint but as Daniel says its about longevity. I know its not about money but if you have made nothing it would be a shame, plus we like a nat outdoor paint
Nat, I have a ZX6R nose cone made of plastic I had for an old project but never used, if it is any use to you, you are welcome to it, just cover the postage, I can send a couple of pics for you to see if it is the same as you need.
A 25 litre compressor doesn't take up much roomi just think your paint jobs are top notch and can be taken to the next level with a spray gun I can't spray with cans my self I don't have the patience but with a sprare gun I find it therapeutic and can pull of some nice paint jobs without the need to spend more time cutting back afterwards currently doing my zzr1100 kawasaki green looking forward for more videos from you
Personally if I was going to do it I would buy the new body panels fair enough you're repairing the old ones you don't know how much more stress the plastic can take before they start breaking again and it would look a lot better when you go to sell it
Personally I’d rather see this repaired to as good as it can be and with one of your shiney slick paint jobs, I’d say that’d look much better than a dodgy fairing
Nat don't buy Chinese fairings they really are shite bought some for my yamaha r1 that I had and they was just horrible the paint was crap the fit aren't very good I just put them in the bin never again. You do a great job spraying so why not do that and makes great content. 👍👍👍

Thanks Andy. I think that I will give it a go.

Isn't that stuff just super glue and bicarbonate of soda?

It's not the weather for outdoors paint!
My opinion, for what it’s worth Nat, is repairing those panels will make better content seeing how good you can get them.
It's more about a good bike than good content but I see your point.
if you buy new what would we watch, just be a guy screwing new bits on, i am with you as long as strong and stays together why buy new,
Thanks mate.
As Charlie says, give it a go, what could possibly go wrong?
Whoops! 🤣🤣
So true!
Hi Nat deffo repair and spray mate. Also it might be easier with the correct screen on the nosecone.
I might just trim down the current one a bit. It works after all.

Thanks mate. I may give you a shout when it all goes wrong!
Repair them save the money get a compresser instead you will save in the long run time and money
I have thought about it but it's the space that I need more than the money I think.

I think its worth trying to repair, it will be interesting to watch. New panels can be your "plan B"
That is my current thinking mate.

Thanks buddy. I think I am with you as I am a little concerned that repairs won't hold.
try plastic welding with a soldering iron worked well for me
I intended to try that but just haven't got around to it.
Personally I’d rather see this repaired to as good as it can be and with one of your shiney slick paint jobs, I’d say that’d look much better than a dodgy fairing
Cheers dude.
Buy new, will be a good fit seeing if a home mechanic can fit Chinese fairings. The old ones won't be wasted as you can sell them or give them away.
I like the idea mate. I may end up doing both!

I have seen mixed reviews on Chinese fairings. Makes me want to try them out more to be honest!
Hi nat you want to get some Wilkos chalk board paint for inside all the plastics goes on good ps it's blask
Is that just to cover it or are you suggesting it to strengthen?
To cover all the repairs
Or you could street fighter it cheaper Nat ❤️😂👍🔧🏍
It's always a fall back option mate.
