Oh, yes, my man. It actually had very good soundtrack and radio, and very special atmosphere, especially when you completed final mission. I liked riding slow cars while listening to DJ Khalil station, it felt incredibly good.
Chinatown wars is soo underrated. You get to scratch tickets, do drug deals, fill up molotovs at gas stations, hotwire cars, little things like that made it stand out from the rest. Rockstar needs to implement those types of mini games in GTA VI.

I have IV and V and I always choose V by a mile, more fun to play, IV is great too, but V solidified everything. Sadly there’s people that glaze IV to the point that every other GTA is trash.
No game will ever blow my mind like GTA 3 did. First third person open world game I played. When the bridge opened up my mind was blown. The feeling of it being my first open world game blew my mind.
I used to hear people say they didn’t like GTA IV because it was so serious. Besides the driving, everything about the game, the atmosphere, the setting, the characters, the story, was sooooo fucking amazing. I still get chills thinking about how after Dimitri betrayed us, and you try to go Roman’s business and it’s burning down. You go to his house, and same thing. So you flee to another island and start over. Truly amazing, my favorite GTA
While I don't love GTA IV, I still think it's pretty alright. Fun characters at the very least. I wasn't a fan of the driving and gun play, so that always makes me rank it lower. I also think nobody actually remembers the story right that I talk to. The two big things are 1) the story is very all over the place. Considering many mission trees are just kind of there, the interconnectivity is just almost gone from previous games. 2) Everyone I talk to talk about how GTA IV is about the American Dream. This makes 0 sense to me. Niko really doesn't have anything to do with that outside of the final mission. His story is a revenge story for the most part. Roman's story is for sure the American Dream, but Niko's entire purpose in Liberty City is to get revenge on the rat from his old crew. That is the case until the final couple missions. Like, yes, at the beginning Niko tells Roman he is there for the American Dream stuff, but it is all a cover for his revenge plan
GTA 4 has the best driving physics in any arcade driving video game with the exception of motorcycles. The weightiness and actual skill required to maneuver the cars was amazing and wish a middle ground between 4 and 5 is what we will get for 6.
Especially the driving! Minus the way over-the-top body roll, the driving physics were just perfect for a game of its kind. It made every drive engaging, tense, fun.
The driving was the BEST part. I still play 4 to this day. I quit 5 the first year it came out after I beat the story (pretty decent story btw). I hope 6 has 4s driving or VERY similar with *slightly* less body roll
Man, Chinatown Wars is an amazing game. Played it a lot on my Nintendo DSi. There is a great history, and drug dealing stuff, and the way of stealing cars was great too.
The criminal empire aspect of VCS is what keeps me coming back to it. I mean it’s literally the combination of the asset building in VC and the gang war aspect in SA. It’s literally gold.
When San Andreas came out it blew away all expectations. We all expected it to be sick but it was way better than that. 2004 was an insane year for video games.

Literally perfect... Maybe the most perfect of them all. I'd say GTA IV is a close second. San Andreas is my favorite but in terms of perfectly capturing, a vibe, and having an excellent story with the least amount of plot holes, I'd say it's vice city! It's set the standard, for what all GTA games had to be. Granted GTA III completely revolutionized a genre, but GTA vice city propelled the franchise and the standard of the genre into something we had never seen before because of that iconic soundtrack, the Iconic time and vibe, masterfully written characters, and beautifully crafted story.I Often can't decide which is best between San Andreas or Vice City lol

Yeah 5 is old af now and should die but there’s no denying when it came out it was one of the greatest games ever maybe not as great as 4 but it’s still a fantastic game . Gta4&SA will always be my favorites however.

GTA 4 is gray, gloomy, just like life itself; here, the harsh reality of the 90s, reminiscent of the Soviet era, is present, and that's why I liked this part of the game so much. Each installment of GTA captivates in its own way.
@@sunpreetsandhu6464 Yeah. A lot of people forget that, while GTA IV had great kinetic gameplay from its new physics engine, it was disliked for being a huge step backwards from San Andreas in terms of content. Even the new driving physics alone turned a lot of people off.
GTA4 is immensely more detailed and immersive than San Andreas. People complained about things like going back to one city and the smaller inventory but GTA IV was a massive step up in gameplay with it's physics and world detail. Whether it's better is just a taste thing, Rstar just decided to put the focus on other things than it did with SanAn.

Gta 4 underrated, by far the most realistic gta we have gotten & is one hell of a story it has. SA I wouldn’t call it a GOAT of a game as it feels like it’s been stuffed with possibilities just because they can (such as flight, gaining weigh when eating food, etc) & has a lot of land that frankly feels like overkill when none of us are realistically going to go there.
tbh gta4 is overrated. the gameplay is super clunky and the open world doesn't have anything to do in it. the story gets oversold a lot, it isn't a whole lot better than other gta stories. i actually found it to be the game that bored me the most while playing. i dropped the game 3-4 times, then another time right before the final mission because the story felt like it was going nowhere and the mission formula only made it more boring and repetitive

The game definitely has quite a bit to do considering the base game, it’s side quests and such + 2 DLC’s from 2 other Protagonists with even more rich story telling. All of which are happening at the same time, ik same can be said for GTA V but they’re all working together most of the time unlike 4 which all different but all at once. It comes as no surprise you might feel that way, you do have to take into consideration the games limitations at the time since it was released in 2007 on the PS3/360 & looking at GTA V on PS3/360, base game you might experience some drops in frame rates here and there but as GTA Online was getting popular, Free DLC and such that got added into online did eventually start to make the game laggy and if you was to play GTA V now on PS3/360 with latest patches, it wouldn’t be uncommon for you to experience even more rate drops and even textures and such not loading in properly. I see why R* took the approach of separating the DLC’s into it’s own game/pack than have it part of the main game since seeing how GTA V went, it’s clear they didn’t want it to happen at the point in time, even more so now since even PS4/Xbox one are now starting to experience the same problems. Sometimes simple is better rather than pushing possibilities and content. I actually do like the physics of GTA 4 since it’s a lot more realistic & even the story telling is more realistic too, examples would how you drive in the game, swerving and such is more accurate and if you tip your car upside down then well on your feet and get another, shooting police officers or other enemies main guns (AR’s, Shotgun, etc) would actually make the enemies drop the gun then switching to their next firearm till they get to the their pistol, little details that i’ve noticed when I was playing it & story doesn’t go with anything extreme either, GTA 4 has one heist and you make a unique escape through the tunnels, while GTA V you have like 3/4 or whatever heists and they get even more unrealistic as you progress through the story. I don’t know what you meant by going nowhere though, throughout the story we see Niko overcome his enemies he comes across & ultimately kills the man that caused this mess to begin with & of course it’s very likely Packie’s sister Katie is dead and the man working with Dimitri (Ray Bulgarin) is also taken care of in TBoGT by Luis. Everything gets taken care of in a more realistic manner. I won’t make an argument much for GTA Online since both GTA 4/5 have their own approaches to it’s Online modes but imo I defo feel 4 is better as it’s much more simpler than GTA V’s as you could spent too much time earning $ for something that isn’t worth the in-game price tag or actually spending irl money on shark cards

Literally perfect... Maybe the most perfect of them all. I'd say GTA IV is a close second. San Andreas is my favorite but in terms of perfectly capturing, a vibe, and having an excellent story with the least amount of plot holes, I'd say it's vice city! It's set the standard, for what all GTA games had to be. Granted GTA III completely revolutionized a genre, but GTA vice city propelled the franchise and the standard of the genre into something we had never seen before because of that iconic soundtrack, the Iconic time and vibe, masterfully written characters, and beautifully crafted story.I Often can't decide which is best between San Andreas or Vice City lol

Yeah 5 is old af now and should die but there’s no denying when it came out it was one of the greatest games ever maybe not as great as 4 but it’s still a fantastic game . To be fair, when you're not causing chaos and taking care of missions, it's kinda fun and funny to go bowling.
GTA 4 is gray, gloomy, just like life itself; here, the harsh reality of the 90s, reminiscent of the Soviet era, is present, and that's why I liked this part of the game so much. Each installment of GTA captivates in its own way.
GTA IV felt so real.
Gotta say, vice city stories will always be my favorite from 3D era. That thing is a masterpiece for a portable console

@@sunpreetsandhu6464 Yeah. A lot of people forget that, while GTA IV had great kinetic gameplay from its new physics engine, it was disliked for being a huge step backwards from San Andreas in terms of content. Even the new driving physics alone turned a lot of people off.
GTA4 is immensely more detailed and immersive than San Andreas. People complained about things like going back to one city and the smaller inventory but GTA IV was a massive step up in gameplay with it's physics and world detail. Whether it's better is just a taste thing, Rstar just decided to put the focus on other things than it did with SanAn.

SA I wouldn’t call it a GOAT of a game as it feels like it’s been stuffed with possibilities just because they can (such as flight, gaining weigh when eating food, etc) & has a lot of land that frankly feels like overkill when none of us are realistically going to go there.

tbh gta4 is overrated. the gameplay is super clunky and the open world doesn't have anything to do in it. the story gets oversold a lot, it isn't a whole lot better than other gta stories. i actually found it to be the game that bored me the most while playing. i dropped the game 3-4 times, then another time right before the final mission because the story felt like it was going nowhere and the mission formula only made it more boring and repetitive

The game definitely has quite a bit to do considering the base game, it’s side quests and such + 2 DLC’s from 2 other Protagonists with even more rich story telling. All of which are happening at the same time, ik same can be said for GTA V but they’re all working together most of the time unlike 4 which all different but all at once.
It comes as no surprise you might feel that way, you do have to take into consideration the games limitations at the time since it was released in 2007 on the PS3/360 & looking at GTA V on PS3/360, base game you might experience some drops in frame rates here and there but as GTA Online was getting popular, Free DLC and such that got added into online did eventually start to make the game laggy and if you was to play GTA V now on PS3/360 with latest patches, it wouldn’t be uncommon for you to experience even more rate drops and even textures and such not loading in properly. I see why R* took the approach of separating the DLC’s into it’s own game/pack than have it part of the main game since seeing how GTA V went, it’s clear they didn’t want it to happen at the point in time, even more so now since even PS4/Xbox one are now starting to experience the same problems. Sometimes simple is better rather than pushing possibilities and content.
I actually do like the physics of GTA 4 since it’s a lot more realistic & even the story telling is more realistic too, examples would how you drive in the game, swerving and such is more accurate and if you tip your car upside down then well on your feet and get another, shooting police officers or other enemies main guns (AR’s, Shotgun, etc) would actually make the enemies drop the gun then switching to their next firearm till they get to the their pistol, little details that i’ve noticed when I was playing it & story doesn’t go with anything extreme either, GTA 4 has one heist and you make a unique escape through the tunnels, while GTA V you have like 3/4 or whatever heists and they get even more unrealistic as you progress through the story.
I don’t know what you meant by going nowhere though, throughout the story we see Niko overcome his enemies he comes across & ultimately kills the man that caused this mess to begin with & of course it’s very likely Packie’s sister Katie is dead and the man working with Dimitri (Ray Bulgarin) is also taken care of in TBoGT by Luis. Everything gets taken care of in a more realistic manner.
I won’t make an argument much for GTA Online since both GTA 4/5 have their own approaches to it’s Online modes but imo I defo feel 4 is better as it’s much more simpler than GTA V’s as you could spent too much time earning $ for something that isn’t worth the in-game price tag or actually spending irl money on shark cards
Vice city was my personal favorite. Loved the soundtrack as well.
