Since our ship has no exhaust gas scrubbers or exhaust gas cleaning systems, to comply with IMO 2020 sulphur cap, we have to use low sulphur fuel oil with 0.5% sulfur content emission. In this vlog you will see the preparations for bunkering operation onboard in the beautiful island of Mauritius. After 1st contract over then after how much days company calls you for the 2nd contract to sail please reply?

It actually depends on you. After sign off, I reported to office and gave them my date of availability. I always make sure to stay at home minimum 3 months. They can call you earlier and it again depends on you if you will accept the vessel assignment immediately. I hope I answered your question.

Jy, it is good practice to isolate the S band radar scanner before going up to monkeys island. It is a much higher power transmitter than the X-band.
