I’ve been watching since I went natural my freshman year of college in 2013 and I never comment, but I just HAD to share this with you!
Literally yesterday afternoon, my sweet, simple bf and I were at Ulta and he loves pointing out alllllllll of the products he recognizes/I already have at home to discourage me from buying uNneCeSsary sTufF. Whatever that means🙄 ANYWAY he noticed melanin haircare and saw your picture by it and was like “HEY! I know her face! You’ve been watching her videos for years! She has her own product line!? That’s AMAZING. Good for her!” Seeing my 27-year-old Latino boyfriend with a 1A buzz cut fangirl over your products absolutely made my day.😭

I wish I had seen this when I was pregnant and/or in my postpartum period. I ended up having long stretches of time (months) of not washing my hair and just leaving it in a bun because I didn’t have the energy and couldn’t stand for too long (I had issues with severe vomiting) while I was pregnant or just didn’t have the time in my postpartum period. It would have definitely helped my mental health. I’m glad you’re getting a chance to see this video during your pregnancy!❤😊

When did you re-twist your hair? There were only 6 twist after the wash and condition but there were more than 6 twists during the takedown. At what point do you twist the bigger twists into smaller ones?

For real, that has been my go-to since your first ever twist and go! So easy! I literally twist and go ( to bed). Next morning, untwist or unbantu or unbraid when I feel like it, stretch it days after or end up bunning near wash day and repeat!

Just finished my wash day. I'm a 4C girl and I've got to tell you...I love the leave-in conditioner for detangling after my wash or color rinse. The mint scent isn't my favorite and is a bit strong for me. I'd really really really love to see it fragrance free or another scent option, but formula wise it's my favorite detangler and quick conditioner. Also was great protection with my blow out. Definitely a Melanin Haircare girl. Please consider fragrance alternative and keep great products coming our way. Blessings Always!

I purchased the entire melanin care hair products on 01/19 and haven't stopped using it since. My hair has flourished. My hair LOVES the leave in, the hair oil, and the twisting creame. I am not a fan of shampoo, but it comes in handy after a braid take down or if I used really heavy products on my hair. I have high prosperity hair, so moisture is a must for my hair. With your products, my hair feels and looks moisturized. Im able to wear my wash and go's for longer periods of time, and im noticing a MAJOR DECREASE in shedding. Glory to God. I have PCOS. My hormones are all over the place, and with aggressive PCOS. losing hair can be common. Thank you for creating Melanin hair care.

honestly, i really want to try this method bc my wash days usually take the whole day bc my hair is so tangled and so dirty and i always deep condition and add leave in out of the shower and detangle and do smaller twists but your results look amazing, i love the concept of a twist and go

Okay, I’m I the only one confused? How is that a wash and go in an hour if you dried most of it throughout the night? It might have taken you an hour to wash and set your twist but it took overnight to dry most of it. Just asking the question and GREAT TO SEE YOU’RE BACK! Stay awhile, I’ve missed you. As I cry here in low density.. 😭🤣 My hair would look like a wirey, flat, shapeless mess if I attempted this routine.. But I love seeing type4 hair properly cleansed and treated quickly and easily.. Our type 4 hair doesn't need to be an all day event to properly care for.. My wash and go sessions take me about an hour to clarify shampoo, moisture shampoo, detangle (using a tangle teaser during 2nd shampoo), rinse out condition, and style.. Then another 30-45mins sitting under my hooded dryer.. I LOVE your Melanin clarifying shampoo and alternate between yours and Matrix and use Melanin multi-use conditioner as a rinse out.. Quick simple and easy hair care is my whole ministry since my most recent big chop 1.5yrs ago and has saved my hair.. I'm thinking your satin scarf will be in my cart next.. 💖😅

I didn’t want to try the products bc I kinda only saw beautiful women with 4 a,b and c hair. I’m 3b and c. But I said let me try anyway I don’t want nothing weighing my hair down. Well I tried the twisting cream and I was blew away how I didn’t have to keep adding water to my hair to do the twist. And my hair didn’t feel like an overload of products. So I got the leave-in and both products together!!!! Omg! I love these products. I have to buy the shampoo and deep conditioner! Thank you!!!!!! My hair isn’t weighed down. And this is my holy grail!!! This is what I been looking for. I wanted to cry lol all these products I brought. I will continue to buy bc I know this will work.
I had to do this at the spur of the moment while lying in bed because my scalp was bothering me too much, lol. So, I got up and followed this method.
Since I work tonight and I don't have time for my hair to air dry, I put it in bantu knots and used my blow dryer with a diffuser attachment to apply heat. After undoing the knots, I kept my hair braided and stretched it across my head, securing it with pins. Then, I covered my hair with a wrap scarf and continued to blow dry it a little more.

Yes just washed my hair after day 8. Took 1 hour and used melanin Haircare shampoo with my scalp brush, then deep conditioned my hair with the melanin Haircare deep conditioner then styled my wash and go with the melanin twist out styler. Then used my Mielle oil on my ends and scalp. My hair is clean and soft and hydrated. Love melanin Haircare. Did this all in two sections. Now currently air drying
