Rina took the world by storm with her first album “SAWAYAMA” and it was Elton John’s favorite album of 2020. He loved it so much that he asked to feature on her song “Chosen Family” and they have a beautiful rendition of it together. The song in this performance was the title track and single from her 2022 album. She explores A LOT of genres, mainly fitting into pop, but pulling from hyperpop, rock, metal, contemporary, hip-hop, house, and many more. Definitely would love to see you review more Rina!!!!
Rina Sawayama sings pop, not opera. First of all I doubt she can sing opera. Even singing pop, a voice born for opera sounds like that ( th-cam.com/video/GB9TVDMh_vI/w-d-xo.html ). Phenomenal natural voice. For a very short period of time she received a vocal guidance only a year (one hour a week). Laura Bretan performed "Vissi D'Arte ( th-cam.com/video/Lz42P-kujwI/w-d-xo.html )/ She was barely 15. This is an opera native voice.

I think and believe that listening to singers are much fun and freshing. Opera is a beautiful art but Rina Sawayama’s art is top tier
