Meh, she’s always been capable of this type of vocal (and has had some pretty messy vocal runs even since starting singing jazz). IMO, I think her recent surge of creative inspiration probably inspired her to get back into fine tuning her technique across the board.
So glad you did this reaction. She is amazing. I think her voice took on different properties starting with "A Star is Born", specifically with the song "I'll Never love again". I had never heard her do such a high falsetto before. She's always had the power but now she's really versatile.
she has before her fame if you ever listened to captivated you'd hear how naturally high her voice really is im glad she quit smoking so we can hear that beautiful higher register again
Originally Gaga learnt to sing with Don Lawrence the very same vocal teacher as Christina Aguilera and Mike Jagger, hence the parallels in their vocal approaches to certain sounds, like the distortions and the belting.
Loved your reaction! So detailed and nuanced. Thanks for analyzing it so well. It was a beautiful performance and one of her best live performances ever in my opinion as a fan of hers since her Poker Face days :)
This doesn’t need explosions at the end..she had them in the middle and Harley was a tragic figure which would need an emotional ending and ending..I think it was perfect
Such a weird dichotomy between how badly the movie is getting panned with how much praise the album is getting. Gaga must feel like she's getting whiplash.
I dont think so, Gaga was hired to execute the director's idea, she did her job as an actress, the fact that the public doesnt like it la another thing , the person responsible is Todd Philips, he is the director, the one who organizes everything, Gaga could have only acted, but he wanted her to sing too.
Critics are praising Gaga’s acting however. The film itself I thought was great! Very depressing and dark but still impactful and meaningful. Gaga was amazing!
@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach I think the reason why people like Joker 1 is that the Joker Empire, because people like and worship powerful Jokers, not like Joker 2, back in the real world was subject to cruel legal sanctions, so from the fans' point of view is a failure, because they did not enjoy watching, but for the script and shooting method of the movie itself, color, singing, acting, are perfect
Btw, the reason she sounds so clean and perfect and her vocal agility is too flawless at times, it's because she's using just the ever slightest amount of voice tuning that is incredibly hard to catch. Only like 3 or 4 other vocal coaches have noticed it from all the videos that I've seen, and I seen quite a few of them.
No avoidance. Vocal choices by Gaga, even if she was using some sort of pitch correction, it’s intentional. Not for lack of talent . She’s an artist, and that means using all tools in one’s tool box. The end goal is to portray the art. Harlequin is hopeless romantic. She would do anything for joker.
Could you please look at RAYE - It's a Man's Man's Man's World (Live at the Montreux Jazz Festival)? Another absolute gem of a performance from RAYE but this time, a classic cover!
It’s definitely not lip syncing, you can literally hear her breathing. Maybe a little bit of auto tune but her voice is a force of nature and she doesn’t dance or anything, so sound flows out easily and is powerful
I had the same thought when I rewatched it.It could be a little bit of auto tune but it could just also be because she is a fabulous singer. The melody is quite repetitive , so it might just be practice?
Have you listened to her song “Disease”? From her new album to be launched in february 2025. I’d love to see your reaction and know your opinion of it. ❤❤❤ th-cam.com/video/fmC6b6_ovZY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gnkp_PyVtQLknNCq
the volume difference between the video and when you pause to speak. I'm trying to watch without disturbing anyone and youre making it difficult lol where are headphones when I need them lol
I feel like the notes were too perfect. It was like there was hardly any pitchy-bendy stuff I expect from her. Maybe she did that to contrast the torn dress and “broken” look to the set? I don’t think the studio version is quite as perfected. Maybe I need to listen again. Sound producers also could have “fixed” a few notes (I mean it’s so easy and common now days?).

The distortion is my favorite part of this song. She does it sooo beautifully.
vocal growl
This song was on Harlequin but it wasn’t for the film, it’s actually about her life ✨🥰
She has stopped smoking. I also think her Jazz work has strengthened her voice and helped smooth it out.
also she always had a lighter voice which the smoking damaged hard all u need to hear is captivated

This! And I have a theory that she might be training for a Broadway show. I've been raving for years that she needs to be casted in a musical.

Then explain her smoking in the Die With A Smile music video.
I think her choosing not to go too crazy there at the end connects with the meaning of the song. She did great!
True
Love how you break down Lady Gaga's technique so clearly! The way you explained the 'cry' in her vocals gives a new appreciation for her control.
Absolutely true

This song is about Harley Quin but it
also sounds like Lady Gaga too. Maybe it's a little of both. This song is hauntingly beautiful. It made me cry
Would LOVE it if you reacted to Lady Gaga’s Sound of Music medley from the 2015 Oscar’s
Originally Gaga learnt to sing with Don Lawrence the very same vocal teacher as Christina Aguilera and Mike Jagger, hence the parallels in their vocal approaches to certain sounds, like the distortions and the belting.
She stills works with Don to this day, as he is frequently credited in some of her recent work as vocal teacher
Ah cool!!! Need to google him!!!
Best Performance ever. New Level ❤
Oh my dear I never see you so happy like THIS
Absolutely great reaction❤
Thanks so much for loving her dear❤
very healthy sound
I love her vocals here. She chose a lighter more pop tone to a rather dark and sad song. The contrast is lovely and haunting together
GAGA IS A MASTERFUL PERFORMER. SO MUCH TALENT. LEGEND❤👍
love you, i was excited to see you cover this
Cómo siempre enseñando lo que es ser un ARTISTA.
Thanks for the video! I love your energy ☺️❤
She also said an interviews the L7 is going be something different like she as not done before, and her vocals are going be different !

her Jazz helped
Gaga just dropped a live version of her song Disease called The Antidote. New version of Disease sang with only piano and guitar

Yeah, her agility is pretty clearly naturally great in this performance, but there is a very modest amount of tuning here.
I think its impossible for one to not notice it, they might just avoided talking about it?

You can hear her breathing.
To me it was pretty obvious.
Great reaction thanks so so much ❤️
No doubt this is the best fucking performance I have seen vocally from her. And she is always good otherwise.
You should do a reaction to Gaga's recent Disease (the antidote live) performance

WATCH HER LOLLAPALOZA 2007 show compared to now. 🤯🤯
Realmente ella es una evolución en todo.
Gaga is amazing in this one.
