I’ve never bought any CD before but finally I bought her cd. I enjoy learning English because I can understand her soul, heart and life. Literally a goddess. Thank you, Rina.
I agree. I think it's going to top her last album. Idk why so many seem so bothered that she's doing more of a pop sound. I think it really suits her & I love that she seems to have chosen that early 2000s pop sound. I missed it.
i am fully petrified, shaking and shivering with fear at how good this album will be. i truly settled in my heart that no album would ever be better than SAWAYAMA but if these singles have shown me anything...... my next hyperfixation!

this song reminded me of a ton of good lessons i learned in therapy. you know Rina is singing this from her soul, another beautiful truthful masterpiece of a song from her!
This song is so underrated currently. I wished they would play this on my radio station than the trending pop songs nowadays. Truly an amazing song! P.S I’m so excited for the new album to release. Rina Sawayama never have released any bad songs.
Groundbreaking track. Maybe Rina's best work so far... so many interesting influences in the production. What an introspective song put together with so much strength!
I listened earlier today before work on my phone speaker. I liked it but I wasn't exactly feeling it. Now I'm home and I've got my headphones so I can listen for real... I'm left by this song feeling like Rina is ascending to musical godhood. I love that so much not just for her, but for all of us that get to experience her artistic vision. Rina is unstoppable, Rina is inevitable, and Rina will change the world.

'cos the girl in your soul's seen it all, and you owe her the world'
SOBBING AND CRYING AT 3 AM i need this song in an epic coming of age
[Intro]
Reach inside and hold you close
I won't leave you on your own
Teach me the words I used to know
Yeah, I forgot 'em long ago
So hold the girl
Hold the girl
Hold the girl
Hold the girl
[Refrain 1]
Hold that girl
Hold that girl
Hold that girl
[Verse 1]
Sometimes I get down with guilt
For the promises I've broken to my younger self
Moving on, maybe I never will
'Cause I left you spinning on the carousel
[Pre-Chorus]
Been living without you
Been living without you
[Chorus]
Reach inside and hold you close
I won't leave you on your own
Teach me the words I used to know
Yeah, I forgot them long ago
I wanna rеmember
She is mе and I am her
So hold the girl
Hold the girl
[Post-Chorus]
(You gotta) Hold that girl
(You gotta) Hold that girl (Ooh)
(You gotta) Hold that girl
(You gotta)
[Verse 2]
Sometimes I just wanna run away
Leave behind that old me, start again
Then I'll remember who I'm really made of
And she's been hide-and-seeking, waiting all alone
[Pre-Chorus]
Been living without you
Been living without you (Oh)
[Chorus]
Reach inside and hold you close
I won't leave you on your own
Teach me the words I used to know
Yeah, I forgot them long ago
I wanna remember
She is me and I am her
So hold the girl
Hold the girl
[Bridge]
Close to your heart
Never ever let her go (Never let you go)
They'll tell you to sit up, and shut up, and grow up
What the hell do they know?
'Cause the girl in your soul's singing on
And you owe her the world
So hold the girl
Hold the girl
[Chorus]
Reach inside and hold you close
I won't leave you on your own
Teach me the words I used to know
Yeah, I forgot them so long ago
[Outro]
Reach inside and hold you close
I won't leave you on your own
Teach me the words I used to know
Yeah, I forgot them long ago
I wanna remember
She is me and I am her
So hold the girl
