1 Medium chopped onion
2 chopped green chilis
1/4 Cup coconut
2 Small cucumber / 1 big cucumber
1/4 Cup chopped coriander leaves
1/2 Tsp mustard seeds
Few curry leaves
1 Tsp urad dal
1 Tsp asafetida
2 Tbsp oil
salt
MEASUREMENTS FOR CURD RICE:
1 Cup Curd
1 Cup cooked rice
2 Tbsp cashew nuts
1 Tbsp raisins
1 Small chopped onion
1/2 Tsp mustard seeds
Few curry leaves
1/4 Cup coriander leaves
1/4 Cup pomegranate seeds
2 Tbsp oil
Salt
MEASUREMENTS FOR GASAGASE PAYASA:
4 TBSP Gasagase/khus khus/Poppy seeds
1/2 Cup powdered jaggery
3 cardamom
½ Cup fresh/frozen coconut
3 Cups water
1 Tsp ghee
1/4 Cup cashew nuts + 2 TBSP for paste
1/4 Cup raisins
MEASUREMENTS FOR UDDINA VADE:
1/2 Cup urad dal
1/2 Tsp pepper
1/2 Tsp cumin seeds
1 Small onion
1/4 Cup coriander leaves
4 - 5 green chilis
A pinch of baking soda
Oil to fry
Salt
MEASUREMENTS FOR BISI BELE BATH:
½ Cup Toor dal
1 Cup Raw Rice
1 Big potato
4 Tbsp Bisi bele bath powder
2 Medium carrots
15 - 20 french beans
1 Medium Kohlrabi Or Chow chow
½ Cup of green peas.
1/2 Cup cashew nuts
1 Big onion.
1/2 Cup freshly grated coconut
Small lime size tamarind
1 Tsp Turmeric powder
small chunk jaggery
1 Tsp Asafetida
1/2 Tsp Mustard seeds,
Few curry leaves
2 Tbsp Ghee
1/4 Cup finely chopped coriander Leaves
1/2 Cup of karaboondi (optional)
3-4 Tbsp of oil
Salt
MEASUREMENTS FOR DRUMSTICK SAMBAR:
1 Cup Toor Dal / Pigeon Pea
6 Drumsticks (Cut into 3” long)
1 Cup diced green squash
2 Medium diced brinjal
1 Tbsp Sambar powder
5 - 6 shallots
1 Medium chopped tomatoes
Small lime size tamarind
¼ Cup freshly grated coconut
5-6 Roughly chopped garlic cloves
1 Tsp turmeric powder
1/2 Tsp mustard seeds
1 Tsp cumin seeds
2-3 Dry Red Chilis
1 Tsp Asafetida (Hing)
Few curry leaves
¼ Cup finely chopped coriander leaves
3-4 Tbsp oil
Salt
MEASUREMENTS FOR TOMATO RASAM:
Small lime size tamarind
1 Medium size tomato
Few curry leaves
1/2 Tsp mustard seeds
1 Tsp + 1 Tsp cumin seeds
1 Tsp pepper corns
8 - 10 garlic cloves
1 Tsp asafetida
1 Tsp sambar powder
1/4 Cup coriander leaves
2 Tbsp oil
Salt
MEASUREMENTS FOR WHITE RICE
1 Cup raw rice
2 Cups water
MEASUREMENTS FOR BISI BELE BATH POWDER (Can use two times)
2 Tbsp Chana Dal / Bengal Gram
2 Tbsp Urad dal / Black Gram
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Tsp Poppy Seeds
8 - 10 dry flat skinned red chilis
8 - 10 byadgi or kashmiri red chilis
2 Inch cinnamon and 8 cloves
1 Tsp Fenugreek seeds
2 Tbsp Coriander seeds.
