Gitaji had offered the cooked food as PRASADHAM to all the God n Goddesses. While eating, usually the Males offer the served food to Gayathri Matha n Annapoorna devi and eat rice , ghee, paruppu combo three times before proceeding further.
Nice ...we in Kerala make similar combo..the kootu is .called molakootal ..slight difference in the ground masala..we use only jeera and coconut for grinding..rest is same..

We add a tsp of cooked dal and ghee to the cooked rice and do Neivedyam
