Thengai Thogayal(Coconut Thogayal)

Urad dal 2 Tbsp
Dry red chilli 2
Tamarind a small piece
Grated coconut 1 cup
Hing/asafoetida 1/4 tsp
Salt
oil 1 tsp,Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Urad dal 1/4 tsp
Rice 1 cup
Vegetable Kootu
Moong dal 1/4 cup
Carrot
Beans
Capsicum
Potato
Green peas 1/4 cup
Salt
Haldi powder a pinch
Oil 1tsp
Urda dal 2tsp
Dry chilli 3
Jeera 1 tsp
Coconut 3 Tbsp
Coconut oil 1 tsp
Curry leave few
mustard seeds 1/4 tsp

Channa dal 1/4 tsp

Karuveppilai Rasam
Tuvar dal 2 Tbsp
Haldi powder a pinch
Tamarind amla size piece

Curry leaf rice powder
Coriander leaves
Ghee

Thenga thuvayal ku oru Pacha milaga vecha vasanaya irukum. Rest all we follow the same method as you do. All the recepie that u made today as well as till date are good. My mother thenga thuvayal is your method only. My grandmother oda mother in law used to add one green chilli. I followed that. It is excellent 👌

Just one query Mam - after cooking every thing why did you use water around cooked rice only and not other cooked items?
My grandmother used to do this (use water) around her plate before eating.
Gitaji had offered the cooked food as PRASADHAM to all the God n Goddesses.
While eating, usually the Males offer the served food to Gayathri Matha n Annapoorna devi and eat rice , ghee, paruppu combo three times before proceeding further.

Mam we used to add half teaspoon pepper while preparing masala for kootu in addition to jeera. It is called pindi kaatta in telugu.

Nice ...we in Kerala make similar combo..the kootu is .called molakootal ..slight difference in the ground masala..we use only jeera and coconut for grinding..rest is same..
