First to take the Black 🖤
These night forts seem a bit like glass cannons. Yeah the wall is a great defence, yet the basically don’t even have walls if they were attacked from behind. It would be reallllllly inconvenient if something like that happened.
The lack of wall could almost be a chekhov's gun sort of thing. If someone does get past, the castles are basically useless. If not for Stannis the watch would have be screwed by this point. There is that theory that the castles are the way they are, because the Wall as not meant to keep the others out, but keep the first men out of the land beyond. Some go as far as saying the others owning the land beyond the wall and the first men the land to the south was part of a peace agreement hence why the castle defences are lacklustre. But i don't really know how much weight i put into any of these ideas, i've not really done much research into it yet.

Thanks a lot, It's defiantly one of the more unique things in George's World.
Chapter 1
Sable Knight kills Daighthoor and Blohorr when they get spit out by the moseian portal and are stuck in a abandoned warehouse in Wolfbrick City.
Sable Knight doesn't recall what happen before and doesn't remember who he is.
He is then greeted by a man suspecting his arrival named Billy Dickinson.
The Sable Knight is going through it when he tries figuring out what is going on and where is he, exactly.
Billy says "Hello."
The Sable Knight only grows more confuse and then is distracted by the sound of footsteps in the back of him.
Then enters another man that goes "You moseians sure know how to make a entrance. You either come blades drawn or almost a bloody mess once you get spit out by the portal, but may I ask like a brother myself who are you?"
The Sable Knight answers "I'm a moseian?"
The man goes "Alright, guess your pretty much, done when it comes to memory because by that point you would answer directly without question. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Wolfbrother. I'm a friend of the U.S.M.W.S their people who can help you, remember who you, moseian."
