***New Sub Here*** Your how to remove the bench seat vid saved my life...Had to weld up a hole in my Jon boat!! I'm cheap..so DIY is in my DNA...to my detriment sometimes!!
Today I mounted the minn kota heading sensor exactly as you did...love the cup holder idea!!! worked perfect. I just read something that says it should be 2 ft from the trolling motor tho? Has yours worked properly? anchor working good?
I have just purchased the same boat, really appreciate your videos. I am about to order the minn kota terova 55 like yours. I am concerned , it looks like the only option to secure it is as you have done. when launching does the bow hit the motor ?
I have no clearance issues launching or retrieving the trolling motor. It works great in the location I installed it. I'm really happy I was able to reuse a bunch of the mounting holes!
I was curious why didn’t you move up to the 24volt model? I am looking at putting a 24 ulterra on mine and also moving the battery closer to the drivers side so that way there is more space. What are your thoughts on it otherwise I love my 16wt that’s 2021
I would assume that it does .. on my first trip out with the new rig the hand held remote showed the depth .. the next trip out it was off . I can’t seem to find the information to get it back on
What do you think about roller bucks versus wood bunks ? I got a rivit 1752 Jon boat I just got. Came with roller bunks. I feel like they put to much pressure on all those points versus bunks take it even. Would it dent hull ?
I've never wanted rollers for the same reason, I figured it would wear the bottom in some way. Are they hard plastic rollers? Bunks have always worked well for me.
@@mvboutdoors I went with my gut and replaced them with 10 foot 2x4 bunks. It’s a 1751 boat. You think those support the hull well ? Or should I take them back off and do 2x6 ones.

Great video just picked up a V16 and your videos help take the guesswork out of accessing the guts of the boat!!

That is one very beautiful boat. I need to get something similar in future.

I haven't had any issues with it, I've done it close on my last boat too without issues.
How do you get the depth the work on the remote ??

Honestly the 55lb moves the boat just fine and that way I didn't have to change up any of the wiring or additional batteries.
How do you get the depth to work on the remote . Mine doesn’t read ?
I wasn't aware the Terrovas could read depth? Does your have the built-in transducer?
I would assume that it does .. on my first trip out with the new rig the hand held remote showed the depth .. the next trip out it was off . I can’t seem to find the information to get it back on

@@coltensawyer6761 2x4's should be fine its how most bunks are
is the 55lb fine for that boat? or would you of gone with a 80Ib?
I've been very happy with the 55lb, no complaints and certainly haven't regretted it
The nav light is obstructed by the trolling motor. Water patrol won’t be happy 😢
@@jeffjones4006 that's true, it's actually how it comes from the factory but the nav light itself has a socket for a nav light pole so it's all good.
You could have just bought the spot lock upgrade kit for 400$.
You get more than just spot lock with the Terrova, the launch/retrieval assist is so much nicer on the Terrova.
Hey man I messaged you on your instagram account! Love all the how too vids
