There’s 2 drain holes in the front corners of the sun roof well. Open the sun roof, stand up inside the truck out the sunroof and get a straightened coat hanger and run it back and forth down the 2 drain holes. I have to do it a couple times a year.

Thank you for the great advice! I’m definitely going to get that done so I don’t get rained on while inside the vehicle lol.

I would start with all fluids… differential/transfer case oils, engine oil, transmission, radiator fluid.

Then move on to spark plugs and checking all the hoses for air leaks

Also check your throttle cable, it might just need an adjustment. Plenty of tips on how to do that in IH8MUD

Back in the day, one could adjust the carb and distributor. I guess now you adjust the electronic timing and the entire computer set up.

@@Gprimbs yes a lot more to go wrong with now.

Check the throttle position sensor, when that's out it will never run properly, very important on Toyota's. It will cause poor running and poor shifting

No offense, but who ever own this past beat the crap out it. Sell it and take the loss, one can only imagine the maintenance or the lack there of, was performed!

Yes it’s pretty bad. I actually got another video out about fixing the rough running no power problem. You should check it out.

@@2byoda I was lucky when I found my the owner worked for ARB and tricked it out. Run a compression check before you do any thing else, I've seen 100x before, where the owners say: ut needs a tuneup, carb and or sensors too.
