Alright, just a couple things to add. I only got the slime mount to travel down my hellevator, I didn’t use it for any damage as it is summon damage, where as the toy tank and scutlix mount shoot classless projectiles. The star cloak says "magic damage" on the fandom wiki as it hasn't been updated. On the official Terraria wiki, it says it does non-class specific damage as of the latest update. Please use the official wiki over the fandom wiki. The flare gun is a classless weapon, but the flares do ranged damage. Regardless the weapon itself is classless, and it’s just a flare gun, so who cares. Also I didn’t know about cursed flares when I recorded this video. I wish I did. Also I avoided traps, as I avoided bombs, as I feel it would've made it easier and they're not really classless items, and I'm not dealing the damage directly. This includes boulders, dart traps, bee hives, etc.

what's interesting is that in 1.4.4 they added Cursed Flares that inflict the Cursed Inferno debuff which does a lot more damage than regular flares, no one would've knew this unless they stumbled upon it while crafting or checked the wiki
Considering how flammable gel is, I'm surprised king slime doesn't go up in flames like a rag drenched in gasoline when you shoot it with the flare gun.
The reason Deerclops "goes purple" is because you got too far away. Deerclops has this qurik where, if you're not really close to it, it becomes invincible; it being purple is the indicator for it being invulnerable.
The reasoning for this is to replicate the attack style of Don't Starve, where you need to get within melee striking distance to hit anything in that game (unless you use Blow Darts, which apparently barely anyone uses.)
This is a very late comment, but I noticed during 32:48 that when you killed that paladin which gave you the shield (and hammer) you were looking for, it also dropped the BBQ ribs as well. Considering the fact that you're in master mode, which increases the drop chances of the shield and hammer respectively, that makes that singular paladin drop a 0.00189509407% occurrence. Congratulations! You will likely never see that again. If anyone wants to translate that into a 1/whatever chance, be my guest, but I doubt this won't even be read at all. Edit: I don't know what drugs past me was on, but it's closer to a 0.3% chance. I love math. Anyway, thank you, @jx5b for the correction! Still a neat drop for an enemy that's fought so little.
@@Memzys actually the OP screwed up the percentage. They meant to say 0.1895%. Edit: Actually the percentage shown on the wiki is incorrect, the odds are actually higher in reality. It's actually ~.35%. Source: Ingame bestiary.
Pretty weird that the Moonlord's hand contact damage doesn't scale with difficulty, it always deals 80 damage. So with that strategy he's arguably easier to beat on master mode than on normal mode lol
@@lucasd534 Armor effectiveness is increased on higher difficulty. The fight is quicker, but you can't get 1 hand damage in classic and expert mode. At least from what I know it's impossible to reach the required 120/160 defense in expert/classic mode pre-Moon Lord. Master Mode only requires 80 defense.
As a less difficult challenge, it might be fun to play terraria as a raider/thief. Never craft a thing. You have to rely on world generation to get the items you need. The only thing I see that would make it impossible is a lack of good tools. The boss summons would all be possible to obtain, weapons, potions, most things could be obtained.
@@boney2982all I can think of that make the NPCs useful are for wings from the steampunker, and minishark/shotgun from the arms dealer. It wouldn't take away from the spirit of the challenge, I would say
I might be mistaken but I think you'd be stuck with a Bone Pickaxe as your best pickaxe up until Golem. Similarly, Lucy would be the best axe you can get besides The Axe, but Lucy is one of the best axes in the game anyway. Early class sets would be Ancient Shadow or Ancient Cobalt armor. You could use an Ancient Necro Helmet for ranged but like, meh. Summoner is straight up unviable until you can beat OOA for the summoner gear, if you allow buying stuff from NPCs. And that's just Pre-Hardmode lmao

About smashing altars, that seems to be pretty niche and unknown information as far as I can see, but after 1.4.4 smashing altars does not turn any block into crimson or corruption.

There are 3 types of Terraria players: The one who picks a class The one who picks no class and just uses anything they see fit at the time And then me, the guy who uses an Enchanting table with The Twins summon, using the True Excalibur and the True Nights Edge at the same time, whilst also using the Magic Dagger with the Dao of Pow. I mean, if it works, it works. Anyways, this was lovely to watch, hope you keep making more 😊
This is AMAZING! But you know what more is amazing? You not using traps... You can beat the entire game without dealing any damage of any type, just building arenas that deal damage. It's REALLY hard and complex, but it can be done!

13:56 Deerclops it's actually designed to be fought close by, if you get to far he becomes purple, if you go above him he spawns those hands, the correct way it's to stay in the ground in front of him and jump certain times when he slams the ground and spawns those ice crystals from the ground.
Oooooh, I used the same strategy you used in the mechs to beat Legendary mode, but I didn't think about using shimmer... It still worked out fine, but I had to try every boss a couple times, as I occasionally got hit, Ro's idea with the shimmer is just genius
for me, classless in terraria is more just about using anything and everything you get your hands on. it never really mattered to me till i started playing modded. when i used to play on the xbox 360, and in 1.3, i just chose melee armor and used all the best weapons from every class at my progression point.
They used to be throwing, not classless (which had its own sets and such, it just isn’t as notable due to the last armors that supported it being ninja/fossil, making hardmode basically the worst for it)

Dude, I thought you had 270k not 27k. I'm surprised, with the amount of effort and the good editing you have it's astounding. I can safely say: you are underrated.
A couple things. First, I wouldn't have judged you if you did this on Journey so you could research blood water and use all the water you need, it's honestly just fair. Secondly, Deerclops is a fight that forces you into melee range. His legs don't deal contact damage, and most of his attacks can be dodged by passing through his legs, barring the shadow hands. When he turns purple, it's him enraging because you're not close. He becomes invincible and far more aggressive.
5:20 - In one of my playthroughs, i decided to kill the Eye of Cthulhu on the second night. And there was two fallen stars landed right on him almost at the same time, dealing around 2 500 damage to him. that was lucky.

Definitely would have recommended you bring a chair and a campfire with you during the early game, but it's all already done and over with :( I did attempt a Summoner-only playthrough at one point, so I could not use melee/ranged/magic, and the Cactus armor is exactly what I used to kill mobs. The added regeneration bonus from sitting in a chair combined with a campfire is really quite good to get you back in a good spot!

oh man you're doing the "hide in a hand cavity" thing! I did that with a unicorn mount the first time I actually beat moon lord; used a bridge with two teleporters for "infinite" space and a rod of discord for the laser. Good times.
14:00 stay right in front of him, and whenever hes going to do the ice eruption attack u fly, he will do it twice and then the third ice attack is one around him. Also if u are too far from him, he is goin to enter in a Invincible state and summon shadow hands around u.
14:27 deerclops goes purple and invincible when you’re too far from him. You’re supposed to fight him by repeatedly going close then running just like in its source game, don’t starve.
Deerclops turns purple when you get too far away. Tip: He doesnt deal contact damage, and the ice attack is always front>front>around. This means you can just run around him and the fight is over.
There could have been some potential with Volatile Gelatin and Frozen Armor. Volatile gelatin was also buffed and Frozen Armor, while only for ranged and melee weapons, makes the Toy Tank’s bullets and rockets inflict Frostburn.
This is my favourite kinda stuff to waste my time on watching. I love how funny every single one of your videos are. FYI the Pokemon ORAS music is the best, I played that game a lot (lots of memories).
Props to you for knowing you could use cheese for more of the run but refraining to do so, I've seen people use cheese strats on much easier challenges than this, well done.
Deerclops turns purple when you're too far away. He's effectively invincible when purple. Fun fact, the darker color and red eye in "purple mode" is a reference to how during the Winter fest event in Don't Starve, Deerclops becomes Feastclops, and gains an eye laser attack.
I have a suggestion. Summoner - Whips only. If this seems to easy, try it with the stipulation that you are not allowed to use armour with the word "Summon" in it.
Dearclops is a crossover boss from Don't Starve Together in the eye for an eye update. He becomes invulnerable when your far away, he doesn't care in the slightest about the biome, time, etc.(you do need to be in the ice biome to summon him) He also doesn't despawn when you die. (don't know how Deerclops can despawn)
Unironically the flare gun might be the best weapon in the game. If you shoot 1000 flares it reaches the projectile limit; then bosses cant shoot anymore

Definitely would have recommended you bring a chair and a campfire with you during the early game, but it's all already done and over with :(
I did attempt a Summoner-only playthrough at one point, so I could not use melee/ranged/magic, and the Cactus armor is exactly what I used to kill mobs. The added regeneration bonus from sitting in a chair combined with a campfire is really quite good to get you back in a good spot!

oh man you're doing the "hide in a hand cavity" thing! I did that with a unicorn mount the first time I actually beat moon lord; used a bridge with two teleporters for "infinite" space and a rod of discord for the laser. Good times.

14:00 stay right in front of him, and whenever hes going to do the ice eruption attack u fly, he will do it twice and then the third ice attack is one around him. Also if u are too far from him, he is goin to enter in a Invincible state and summon shadow hands around u.
14:27 deerclops goes purple and invincible when you’re too far from him. You’re supposed to fight him by repeatedly going close then running just like in its source game, don’t starve.

Tip: He doesnt deal contact damage, and the ice attack is always front>front>around. This means you can just run around him and the fight is over.

There could have been some potential with Volatile Gelatin and Frozen Armor. Volatile gelatin was also buffed and Frozen Armor, while only for ranged and melee weapons, makes the Toy Tank’s bullets and rockets inflict Frostburn.
The debuff the frost armor inflicts isn't frostburn since 1.4.1, is frostbite, a much more potent version of it.
This is my favourite kinda stuff to waste my time on watching. I love how funny every single one of your videos are. FYI the Pokemon ORAS music is the best, I played that game a lot (lots of memories).
Props to you for knowing you could use cheese for more of the run but refraining to do so, I've seen people use cheese strats on much easier challenges than this, well done.
Deerclops turns purple when you're too far away. He's effectively invincible when purple.
Fun fact, the darker color and red eye in "purple mode" is a reference to how during the Winter fest event in Don't Starve, Deerclops becomes Feastclops, and gains an eye laser attack.

Dearclops is a crossover boss from Don't Starve Together in the eye for an eye update. He becomes invulnerable when your far away, he doesn't care in the slightest about the biome, time, etc.(you do need to be in the ice biome to summon him) He also doesn't despawn when you die. (don't know how Deerclops can despawn)
Unironically the flare gun might be the best weapon in the game. If you shoot 1000 flares it reaches the projectile limit; then bosses cant shoot anymore
but the flares say ranged damage on it so isnt that not allowed
