Dark Souls but explained with food: it's like eating a brick but you're a masochist and into that.
The brick has layers. The cold stony death. The thorns underneath. Alternating between the two layers and cheap solid pain. Within it's very core is satisfaction intermingled with true rage at cheap deaths that are bound to happen when you get cocky. Fall damage gets you every time.
Is more like eating a lemon without making faces: its weird, not for everyone, its so hard at the beginign but the more you do it the better you are at it, and after a lot of practice you can brag about your new skills and appreciate the depth of flavor of the lemon.

Minus this year (so far), 2019, and 2018~, the game was getting *at least* a "major" update each year, let alone community updates (stopped due to certain issues), and other smaller updates. Hopefully after HL:A releases, the devs are able to get back to working on the next update, but well, It's Valve. But even if nothing comes from Valve for a while, the community has done a shit ton in terms of self-made updates/content.

I love Breath of the wild because every playthrough is vastly different despite you having the same end goals. It isn't rigid with one path to follow, it allows you to choose what you do and when you do it.

Honestly, i absolutely LOVE the fighting style in BOTW. even though it was easy, i adored getting into the devine beast vah’medoh, the flurry rush mechanic is amazing, and there’s thousands of other things i could name about this game.

The moment I knew I loved breath of the Wild was when I was going into the desert for the first and was severely under equipped. I kept losing hearts from it being too hot but didn’t know what to do. I remember trying to find any place where I could stop and figure out a plan and just took a shot in the dark and ran towards some ruins that were casting a shadow on the ground. When I stood in the shadow I stopped losing hearts. It was after this that I realized you were never fighting the game, that it would always work exactly how you wanted it to.
Yeah I always go to gerudo first after getting thousands of rupees so I dont have to go to the fetch quests for shock arrows because that dumb lynel keeps killing me
A link to the past shocked everyone at launch. Ocarina of time and majoras mask shocked everyone. Twilight princess and the wind waker shocked everyone and now botw and botw 2 absolutely shocked everyone. Zelda is by far the highest quality video game franchise and is what got me into gaming.
Yeah. Botw 2 doesn't still hasn't given us much information about the game, so that kinda sucks. But the best game was majoras mask, I just loved all the sidequests and masks, although I do think you should've been able to buy masks from the Happy Mask Salesmen.

The first time I truly fell in love with botw was still on the Great Plateau. In fact it was that first pan of Hyrule that really got me into the game.
Most memorable and amazing thing about this video is that Doug managed to get footage of an empty Costco.

Ill say my favorite moment of Zelda Breath of the Wild is when I broke a Shrine, I glitched out and hovered above the map, its only because the game was perfectly put together as a meal, that a pickle to the face was memorable and enjoyable.

Maybe I’m just weird but I never got full at Red Dead Ravioli, I just sat on the toilet and had the waiters bring the food in, and by the final main story mission I was sobbing on the toilet. Best of the decade!

Breath of the Wild is currently my favorite game. I always manage to find something to do, whether exploring or doing something goofy. The game has incredible moments of beauty and none highlight that more for me, then when you walk out of the Shrine of Resurrection for the first time and hear the music as you stand on the cliff, seeing the vast world that is yours to explore. I've replayed and redone that moment so many times. And I still get chills
This game is truly the best game of the past decade, hell best game ever and definitely deserve all the praise it gets

my favorite moment in breath of the wild was when i found the dragon up on the mountain covered in malice, i don't remember the name haha. i remember looking out over everything and seeing something weird up there and going across like half the map just to check it out and i was so surprised by it. like I'd never heard anything about this the game had never hinted at it or had an npc mention it or anything. no other game has ever made me walk for 15 minutes because i saw something kinda weird on a mountain.
The dragon is called Naydra, the others are called Din and Farosh. It's a reference to the three golden goddesses who created the world and triforce: Din (power), Farore (courage) and Nayru (wisdom)

you know I've been watching your videos for a while pretty much just downing them all one after another and then you mentioned outer wilds and brought back memories of the Nintendo direct from almost 2 years ago now where they mentioned that that game would be put on to switch very soon and we still don't have it

Considering the current state of the game and universe, we don't have a lot to be happy about except being recognized by the gaming community for what it once was. Despite its wallowing in "obscurity" it still remains a champion of many design philosophies that helped make it once of the best shooters of its era.
@@refusingtoconform Arguably still one of the best shooters of even current day. Overall one of the most balanced games (even with some weapon issues), large map variety (even if it does spread out players, or have dead modes/maps), large player customization in both play style and cosmetic look, custom servers, moderate learning curve, pretty high skill ceiling for things like rocket jumping, etc.
Not many games that have released recently have been able to meet and exceed what TF2 has done, while not dying (in terms of content/players) in the first few months or years of release. OW arguably was close, but has (Imo) been heavily mishandled in terms of balance and actually being open to community creativity (Custom servers are lack luster, and the workshop is still pretty limiting due to no map editing, features, etc.)
We don't talk about Battleborn...

People said it was "starting to die" back in 2011, and I've heard it at least once at some point in every single year. Yet looking at the player numbers there was never any noteworthy decline.
