When you cook a chicken, no matter what recipe it is all of them have a basic foundation of what needs to be done, that seems self-evident in that field. You got to heat chicken to this degrees or above so you can eat it safely. If you want to play Smash Bros. you got to be using the controller and know hot to use it. These are prerequisites, a basis for whatever your doing.

Doug standing in the street with pickles in a pan has some big vine energy.
Luigi is like sausage and mash. The mash (neutrals) is good on it’s own, the sausage (specials) is good on it’s own, the peas (aerials) are good on their own and so is the gravy (the taunts). But sometimes if you get a bite of everything, it’s glorious. That’s Luigi’s combo game. He’s good enough using one section of his moveset, but to reach peak flavour you have to put it all together. But you have to do it properly. If you put sausage, mash, gravy and peas in a bowl and grind them together, it’ll be a weird, gooey mess and looks disgusting. If you just spam moves on Luigi, you lose. If you have the perfect amount on your fork, then Luigi is insane.
These comparisons are so unnecessarly graphic... I just freaking love them.

It's a pun/joke, but I would say some things taste more neutral than others and weak neutral would probably be closer to not having their own unique flavor or having more nuanced ways of adding to the dish aside from flavor whereas strong neutral flavor would be closer to having a distinct flavor but still easily lost in the overall flavor of the dish

Making everyone invisible would be like if you were cooking the chicken blindfolded, whilst having that life-sucking flower thing on your head would be like if someone added something disgusting every 5 seconds so you have to finish the chicken before it's ruined.
Sudden death is like setting the temperature to a bajillion degrees and all the herbs and spices are amplified, so even the tiniest gram can hugely affect the flavour.
Mii fighters are like cutting up four different types of chicken into fourths and mix-matching them back together.
