- Hey all and welcome back to another Video on my VY SS, In this video I Take it out for a little cruise and a Couple of pulls going onto the freeway

Thinking of doing this same cam in my 04 VY HSV manual, hoping to go with ITB's as well. Already has extractors and twin 3". Loud as, but could do with more LoL. Hello from New Zealand

Enjoyed it so much, and right before bed too. Soon the internal combustion engine will be an artefact of history, and there'll only be the sound of tires and whirring of the electric motor. There'll be instant torque and power, but it won't be the same.

The turn off from the m1 where the werribee caltex is. Got heaps of work round that area so im used to calling it c109

What cam sounds fairly chunky on idle,I'm running vcm13 4 K stally n got 410s on the way so shel be quick with some semi slicks
I love the Sound of the VCM13, I have a mate who has chosen to go with that Cam in his VX SS

Was making 260RWKW, Cam is a VCM11, Exhaust System was 1 3/4" 4 into 1 Extractors cat delete then into twin 3" system with both middle and back mufflers, Diff was the standard manual 3:46.
In an auto car with the vcm 11 would I need a bigger high stally mate
I would recommend it and diff gears done

Hey mate, the extractors are a $400 Ebay special which have 1-3/4 Primary's 4 into 1 with a 3" Collector into 100cell cats then into the twin 3" System with middle mufflers and back ressie 😉

Hey man I love the sound!!! I just got my VY SS (also hothouse green) but auto. Anyways I don't have cash to do full system with cats and extractors... but thoughts on cat back system?? 2.5in or 3in. I want v8 supercar kinda sound...I'm also think swap out rear muffler for two hot dog resonator...... help??
Check out this blokes other video where he fits the exhaust. I think it's DEA performance twin 3", sounds pretty good for 600 bucks. Look on ebay. Won't sound that good IMO until you do cats and extractors as well but this guys car sounds good for a cheap setup and I've had difilippo, hurricane, xforce etc over the years.
Hey mate, Thanks 😁 but to answer your question about which exhaust to put on your car, i feel it comes down to two things, what work is done to the car and what sound are you after, i was looking for a med/loud that has a deep note and the twin 3" gave me just that. The twin 2.5 with only middle mufflers and stright pipe out the back was super loud and honestly sounded shocking when you backed off.
If you car is stock with no engine work id put the 2.5 on with both middle mufflers and back ressie but i have known ppl to put the twin 3" due to its deeper note it gives.

Its a DEA Performance Twin 3" from the Cats back with both middle and back mufflers. I've got a vid of putting the system on then car 😉

Mine only has the VCM11 Cam, Valve Springs, Push Rods Full twin 3" System made 260RWKWs 4 years ago really need to get it back o to a dyno but going to wait for the mods iv got planned for it then get the retune.

No mate it has hiflow cats and the exttactors are the cheap stainless brand one from ebay 😉

How’s the fuel efficiency?
Pretty good long freeway drives i get about 550 to 600ks to the tank around locally about 350 to 400 but all depend how much weight is in my foot 🤣🤣

Yeah mate it was 😉 and thanks, soon there will be some changes made to the exhaust just to try a few different things and see how it sounds 😁😁

@@snrautoworx2840 yeah I'm in a similar place now. Have a bugeye wagon and it's a little too small. I'm 200cm anyway and my son's not exactly small, so a bit more room would be good. Im tempted by a VE wagon 6.0 with a manual gearbox if I can. Would probably have to turbo it or something though I recon. Haha

They were King Springs SL in the front and SSL or maybe was SSSL in the back

Its got a VCM11 but once motor is out its getting a different cam 😁😁

Its only making 260rwkws prob even less now as i have notice shes getting tired from the hard life shes lived and with 10,000ks shy of 300 thou and the cam being put in in 2014 i think it was im pretty sure shes down of a little poneys but is still a fun car to drive and makes me smile ever time
