    I’d argue the Opinel No 8 is a great fishing bait knife, the inox stainless more so than the carbone you showed, because they’re so cheap that if you lose them it’s not going to hurt like a $40+ knife.
    Also yes, I’ve lost knives going fishing.
    It’s surprisingly easy to lose a knife off a jetty etc too.
    There’s also plenty of other situations where a semi disposable knife is handy where I live too, but it’s 2am and I’m struggling to think right now.

    I think the Benchmade 940 is certainly overpriced but it is still by far my favorite locking folder. I bought mine during a black Friday sale for $165 which is so much more palatable then $250 that they typically go for. The 940 was satisfactory enough for me that I actually quit buying locking folders for almost 2 years after getting it.

    • @xonerex7501
      @xonerex7501 ปีที่แล้ว

      His argument for the 940-1 is just that. Nothing he said argues against the actual quality of the knife as a tool, and QA issues aside, everyone I've encountered have loved their 940 to death. I generally liked the video and could see where he was coming from with most selections, but this argument does not hold up

  • @metal_complex
    @metal_complex  5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Just to clarify, it was not my intention to present "overpriced" and "overrated" as the same thing. I didn't do the best job of explaining that in the video. Sometimes, when a knife is popular, or has high demand, it'll have a price that corresponds MORE with demand, and less with build quality/functionality. Price was really only thrown in to show what would need to be paid in order to obtain these knives that I consider "overrated" for separate issues outside of price. Rest assured, I consider these knives "overrated" because of the general underwhelming feeling I get when compared to other "better" knives of the same caliber. Hope that's more clear!

    • @wstar72
      @wstar72 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That makes sense. But price definitely has a big part of the equation. I think the Shaman is waaaaay overrated for general EDC. I can't understand the $80 price difference compared to a Manix. The Manix is an ounce lighter, has virtually the same blade length, feels more comfortable in my hand (even with the contouring on the Shaman), and sits in my pocket better than the Shaman. Unless you are really need something with more tip strength on a daily basis, I can't figure out why the Shaman would be considered over a Manix. If the price was similar to the Manix, I think it would be easier to recommend the Shaman.

    I've never owned but one on your list, the 0566 ,gave it to my son a week after I bought it. Picked up the 0562 a day later. Never liked the 940, tried to , but no. I've got my own list like this the "knives I bought because they're so praised but I wish I wouldn't have bought them." The 940 and bugout I agree with, my bugout came with lock stick that never went away and the 940 has an edge like an axe. I'd have to put the PM2 on there too, bought it a year and half ago and carried only once, it's fine but there was no choir of angels singing when I opened the box, the edge is wonky and even, the g10 rough and unfinished around the edges and the clip is way too tight, expected an A+ but it was only a B.

    Opinel's have their place. Great for a thin slicey locking blade that won't scare the sheeple, but the break in time (every one I've bought is very slip sticky for quite a while) and deployment are UGH.
    The 940-1501 (KW exclusive) is still the best bang for the buck 940, an extra 70 over that for s90v > 20cv and cf > g10 is asking a lot.
    The bugout was designed specifically for people who are counting ounces, I agree it feels flimsy even if in use it's sturdy. The material difference for the price between the manix 2 g10 and the bugout is probably because of the warranty differences (BM blows away spyderco in this department).

    The zt350 was my first good knife. I was 13 (7 years ago...wow) when it first came out, it was an amazing knife. I agree now that the same knife with the same materials for the same price today is too much IMO. If it was $120 I’d say go for it though

      benchmades are garbage all around. they inflate the price of their mediocre knives. not surprising considering they support anti gun and pro knife ban democrat politicians. bad people are the same all around and everywhere, no matter if they're in the edc industry or not. boycott benchmade once the demand goes away they'll have to adjust the price to its proper place in the 50-100 dollar range.

    Have to agree on most of your list. Although I love my spydiechef it isn’t as amazing as most say it is. I usually laugh anytime I see a list and it includes the CRKT m16 as a good budget knife. As far as the benchmade knives on the list I tend to think all their knives are over rated. Don’t get me wrong they’re good knives but when looking at price and build quality they are highly over rated.

    We actually get issued the benchmade infidel when we deploy overseas. The Air Force has been doing it for years. While it is nice, useful, and fun to play with, I would never go out and spend as much of my own money for this knife as benchmade is asking.

    The Bugout continues to stand the test of time. I love going back to these older videos of people naysaying it/getting hung up on the name because it's just funny how wrong some knife guys were about what has become an industry standard. Also, how can it be "overrated" when so many knife snobs seem to hate it?

    I pretty much agreed with each of your selections on this list. I wonder, would the Kershaw Leek and its counterparts (Chive, Scallion, etc) ever make this list? What about the Hinderer-designed Kershaw Cryo II?
    I think those belong here.
    Finally, what’re your thoughts on Cold Steel’s pocket tank, the SR1?

    I love my 0350. I love it more because I snagged a barely used tiger stripe model for only $118 on eBay lol. I totally agree with your point about the USA kershaws, but there’s just something about the feel of a ZT that makes it worth spending the extra money. Kershaw’s higher end knives are perfectly fine, but when you hold a ZT it feels like straight quality and I’ve never experienced that same feeling with any of the kershaws.

    Checking in a little over 3 years later, in March 2023:
    In early 2021 the Benchmade Bugout was $131, but has increased by $31 to now cost $162. And this is $44 over the initial price of $118.
    In early 2021 the Benchmade 940-1 was $272, but has increased by $43 to now cost $315.
    Benchmade is one of my favorite knife companies, so it truly pains me to say they've increased their price SO MUCH recently that I doubt I'll ever buy one new again. I've owned dozens of them, & bought maybe half of them new. They were priced high even before the recent price hikes. But I understood that, because they're made in the USA & Benchmade has a great warranty service that I've experienced personally. But the flagship grivory Bugout in S30V going from $131 to $162 is an increase of 23.6% in just under two years. That's outrageous to me. And the 940-1 isn't much better going from $272 to $315, an increase of 15.8%.
    I recently bought a Hogue Deka SMKW exclusive with carbon fiber scales & MagnaCut steel on sale for $159. That's $3 LESS than the standard S30V Bugout costs today. And even forgetting that I got it on sale, you can compare the standard grivory MagnaCut Deka at $127-$135 to the Bugout at $162, & conclude there is something wrong with the price on the Bugout.
    I believe that if Benchmade continues to hike prices without somehow offering at least some kind of upgrade to their models, they'l price themselves right out of the market.
    I get that inflation is a thing, & I know there are other reasons prices need to be raised. But look at Spyderco. They've also increased prices on their flagship models, the Para Military 2 & Para 3, but in doing so they also upgraded the blade steel from S30V to S45VN. So in their case, at least theyr're trying to add value where they can to go along with the price increases.
    This is a pretty old video, so who knows if anyone will ever read this. But I had to get this off of my chest.

      yup. it's still the best folder for slicing food... at the price it's not as nicely finished as my Techno, the lockbar is a bit thin for SHTF, and also has the typical slight rattle from the lanyard tube...but the handle really does carry extremely well, excellent pocket access, excellent ergos and even a ceramic detente.

  • @bermo61

    Totally agree with a lot of this list. The Benchmade infidel is horribly overpriced. The Bugout handle snapped at 160 pounds on a cold steel video, where the air lite stood up to 255 lbs and costs $50 less. Remember, the title of the video was most overrated knives, not worst knives. A good knife that is way overpriced qualifies like the ZT’s.

    How opinions vary-- Excellent video.
    As far as cutting tools go for cutting vegtables and fruit I have used a Opiniel #9 for over 6 years and with the thin blade stock
    it is a cutting laser.
    The Bugout, for the past year I was on the fence about this knife and I finally purchased one. It has become one of my top 5 knives simply because I can carry it in light weight pants or shorts around the house.
    The knife is still overpriced by about 25.00.

    Great topic MC. Bound to piss off some fanboyz, but it's nice to hear your opinion on why you think a knife is overrated when other people rave about it. You are upfront about it being your opinion & are not trying to say knife X is bad, you just don't think the price fits the hype, or in case of the Opinel, better knives are available for a little bit more money. One handed opening, different steels & handle material, etc. Saying that, I have owned an Opinel 8 since the 1980's. Used it a few times, but always grabbed some other knife given the choice.
    I have been considering the Bugout but can't get past the price. The bugout has so many fans, you are bound to get bombarded by how wrong they think your opinion is. It's your own opinion, so at least you say why you don't like it. Price, and feels cheap to you. I see nothing wrong with your logic. Changing the scales to something more solid feeling increases the price.
    Remember, when the nuclear comments hit, duck and cover. ☢⚠️🤣

  • @traviswrigg5158
    @traviswrigg5158 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    My reactions:
    1. Opinel - 100% yes. I had to do so much work getting mine to where I could open it consistently. The wood would swell up and jam the blade in the closed position. Anyone buying their first knife is better off doing something like paying a little extra for a case sodbuster jr in CV steel that opens and closes without it being an ordeal
    2. Paraframe - Ehhhh.... I'm not sure this knife is overrated so much as it is... Rated. Most people I know will say it's a junk drawer knife, but it's the best knife you can walk into a home depot and buy. Which... Don't do that if this is the best you can do
    3. Kwaiken - 60% yes. I object to it but for different reasons than you do. The edge rides way too close to the back of the handle when closed, and that's just not acceptable to me. But if you have different fingers than I do... then sure. Maybe it's a great knife for some people. But definitely not for me, and I surely can't think my objection to it is so uncommon
    4. M16 & M21 - See #2, but with a different store
    5. 0566 - Never handled this. Assisted knives are illegal where I am, so I've never bothered
    6. 0350 - Never handled this either. That recurve is an absolute non starter for me
    7. 940-1 - I think I'd adjust what you've said here to just about any upgraded fancy pants version of any knife. Upgraded fancy pants versions of knives are for people who absolutely loved the base model. If you're thinking about getting a spyderco native, get the base S30V model. If you love it so much that you'd call it the perfect design for you and you just absolutely must have the fanciest version of it, then get the fluted carbon fiber version. I think the same goes for the G10 griptillian, the 940-1, and any other knife with a base version and a different version wearing fancier pants
    8. Infidel - See #5, but replace assisted with OTF.
    9. Spydiechef - I get where you're coming from on this I think. This is one I haven't handled, so I don't feel I have a place to chime in here for, but I'm not sure what the Spydiechef's peers would even be. The Liang Mah kitchen knife lookin' thing? The spyderco kapara? The Kapara is hard to find and the KUF is $400. So... If someone wants to say "The spydiechef is the best folding kitchen knife for the money" I'd be totally willing to say "Sure. That checks out"
    10. Bugout - Y'know what? Sure. This was a knife that was designed for a very specific use case that people who were never going to use it for that use case all flipped out over saying "OMG, this is the best knife that's ever been made in the history of ever." Is it the best folding backpacking knife in it's price range? Y'know? Probably. Is it the best folding knife in its price range Ehhhhhh... I have a harder time saying that for sure. The spyderco native is damn good and ergonomically excellent. Same can be said for the para3 lightweight. There's also the k390 dragonfly (a little unfair to the bugout since your video came out before that was announced). And of course there's Benchmade's own griptillian. There are so many good EDC blades in this price range, and do you really want to pay extra for yours to be lighter weight than you will ever really need it? It's my opinion that as long as your knife is light enough in weight that you can carry it without getting annoyed at it, your knife is light enough. For me, that line is about 4 oz. Any knife less than 4 oz is light enough for going in my pants pocket and walking around. I don't need to pay extra for it to be lighter than that unless it's going in my hiking and camping backpack (literally the thing the bugout was designed for) and for that I have an LT Wright fixed blade (actually coming in with a weight penalty, but there are enough advantages to carrying a fixed blade in my hiking and camping backpack that that's the choice I made). Again, the bugout is genuinely amazing, and a really good EDC blade, but I definitely get what's being said in this video. The amount of hype surrounding it does not match the amount of value you're going to get out of it. Personally, I disagree with you that it feels cheap, but that's your experience with it and not mine. I see it as a lightweight backpacking knife. I get the design decisions that went into it, and I think the "you can compress the scales" "controversy" is overblown, but again. Everyone's opinions are their own, and with so many choices in that price category, if you don't like those flexible scales, get a different knife (again. This plays into my point that there are so many good choices competing with the bugout that it's hard for me to say it's getting the proper amount of praise)

That said after getting it home and spending a day with it I'm not OMG blown away. Especially after the $250 price tag before tax. The Duval is the name of their new “front flipper”. It, like most of their stuff, is GROSSLY overpriced. A Ti framelock with a 2.75” S35VN blade with micarta or rosewood scale for $275?!?! I had to look at different sites to make sure that price was right. That knife shouldn’t be a dollar over $140, and that’s the very high end. TwoSun would probably sell it for $80-100.

    I'm glad you made this video. Nothing like stirring up peoples thoughts. I've noticed for while, a lot of "knife reviewer's" sites are just regurgitating reviews that are 10 years old or strictly stating what is the best, based on Amazon sales numbers without actually knowing anything about what they are writing.

    I own 4 Benchmade knives and I love all 4 for different reasons. Two of the 4 are bugouts both were gifts from my wife. One of my bugouts has become my edc knife the blade steel is M4 which I love the handle scales are natural jade G-10, but I agree both of my bugouts I would consider overated based on price to materials used. Me personally I want to get the best deal I possibly can on a knife and most Benchmades are way overpriced. Great video, Thank you for the content!

    I think your reasoning behind each pick is sound. I carry a Bugout every day. Once I got that I just can't carry anything else because everything else feels like a damn kettlebell in my pocket. I get how it could feel cheap to some folks but man the practicality of it makes it a dream. And the thing is, it really isn't cheap. It's quite sturdy. But ya I get it.

    Your score- 90%. I own half of these. I purchased the Bugout because of all the great reviews. My reaction to it was identical to yours. I like the Spydiechef, especially the steel. And the shape. And the ergos. It's probably overpriced, but I feel that it is a great knife. I do carry it. #9,8,5,4, and 3 were either bad knives (like the Gerber) or cost way too much. I have handled the 940 on several occasions and each time I just shook my head and wondered the reason that someone would shell out that much money for that knife. I enjoyed your video. I'm wondering how many of your underrated knives that I own.

  • @nickburns7039
    @nickburns7039 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I agree with you that these knives m(except one) are overrated. I would also add the spyderco delica and endura (though I love both knives) as being very overrated for what you are getting. I would also add the benchmade griptillian.
    I also agree that the spyderco spydie chef is very plain and boring but when you consider its intended use as a knife that can be used anywhere and will not rust I think that the plainlessness is justified. As an everyday carry for someone who works in an office (me included) it is very plain. I am not arguing that but if carried as a knife that is outdoorsy be it camping, rafting or any other outdoors endeavor I think it is the exact configuration it should be.
    Sorry for the novel. I enjoyed this video.

    Wow. I felt like I was taking crazy pills. I agree with just about everything you said. Most of the knives aren't bad, but may be a bad value. I would have preferred the ZT 0566 in Elmax; I have the blackwash S35VN version and to be honest, I carry my Kershaws much more frequently. They have better steel and an almost similar build quality and ergonomics. Close your eyes and have somebody put a 0566 in one hand and a Cryo in the other. Sans the steel frame, can anybody tell the difference?

  • @JesseLJohnson
    @JesseLJohnson 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have literally never seen a top 10 carry knives of all time with a bunch of cheap Walmart knives in them. I have that 0566 not my favorite but I like it and it was only $109. I love my Kwaikens though. The knife I probably carry most is my 20cv mini griptillian the one I have with plain edge, thumb stud, black blade. I have another satin with combo edge and a full size 20cv sheepsfoot black blade besides all the other grips I have. Lately I have been carrying the Sage 1 though but a lot of that is because I just recently got it along with 9 other discontinued Spydercos. I have a few of these. The Bugout feels cheap but I like it. I just got the Knifecenter exclusive red battleworn one to have a different one then everybody else. I don't carry a knife for anything besides opening boxes and whatever else. If I need to defend myself I have a gun on me. The Manix 2 isn't as much as the Bugout though. I really like my Manix knives I have a few but I don't like how bulky and heavy they are. I think the lightweight ones look and feel cheap so I haven't bought one but I just got a Cru Wear one I think was a Knifecenter exclusive and it was only $135. The standard S30v one with black G10 I have I paid less then $100 for.

    Man, you absolutely crushed it here! I am extremely impressed. Of the knives on this list, I have had the Gerber, Boker, 0562, 940, infidel and M16. The Gerber is just flat out one of the worst knives I’ve ever owned, despite a cool design idea. The Kwaiken I want to love because I feel i am supposed to, but i just don’t. The 0566 belongs somewhere near the bottom of ZT models. The Infidel - well, I had the mini and full sized, and, well, uhhhhhhhh, 400 bucks? Really? I can’t stand MT but please just give me a Troodon and let’s move on. This knife has no place on the market. The M16 is cool looking, I’ll give it that. But it’s too small to use. And it’s just.... bad. The 940-2 CF , and the red one that was an exclusive, is the only one I’d argue a little for. I’ll just say, while I liked it, it’s small. It’s not in my collection anymore, and don’t have any intention to get another. Okay, so now let me give some credit to the good models - CRKT Pilar is a great - I have 4. The swindle is great. The Blur is great. Benchmade - balisongs from 10 years ago remain some of the best in the world. Crooked river is kinda neat. And their new little colab w the Patrick Famin i think. Gerber.... uhhhh... oh! The Dime multi tool is on my keychain. ZT .... 0900 modded (no tab, add stud), the new one w the thumb disc (0470 maybe?). Lots of good ones.

    Totally agree on the Infidel, and highly overpriced, and poor design as well as cheaper materials. Benchmade is competing for vanity pricing with Microtech. As well, the best placement for the button is on the side where your thumb naturally falls.
    On the Bugout, just too small and I don't have giant hands. You can cut your thumb just opening it, since there's so little real estate to hang onto.

    I’m gonna disagree only on the bugout. Less then 2 oz weight ambidextrous and effortless easy to open one handed axis lock, also one great deep carry clip. ( sounds silly but aftermarket clip companies are doing great because so many people hate spyderco clips, I have several) The blade comes very sharp and is easy to keep shaving sharp I can clean slice water bottles after a little stropping. And I got mine new for a bit less then 118 if you wait for specials or do some smart shopping. when ever I get a new knife I carry that for a while and will cycle back to the bugout just so damn light and opens boxes too easily. A gym knife or basketball shorts knife also. I’ve abused it a few times, cutting several copper wires when I was too rushed to run and grab cutters out of the truck, slipping through zip ties and hitting something harder. The edge looks excellent under light. Anyways just my pov as a guy that carries 2 knives all the time and having this in the left pocket and easy to deploy or close and slip it away and again I paid less for it, is it a cold steel spartan or 4 max lmao no it’s not it’s American made and assembled 🇺🇸

    On some of these I completely agree! The BM Bugout is an overpriced beater knife on par with other $30-40 beaters. The Bugout is a “consumable” knife in its original form and is not worth $120. If you have to spend $75-100 to make this knife better, then you had $200+ to spend on a much better knife. I don’t know why anyone would pass that option up?
    However, on others on your list you say, “Let me stress that build QUALITY is top notch.” Yet build quality is the major factor that often drives purchases and usefulness. Then you say, “But it lacks anything special beyond that.” If it isn’t build quality then it’s esthetics. And esthetics alone isn’t enough to judge a knife as overrated. There are plenty of plane and ugly knives out there that are beloved and highly regarded.
    You don’t think some of these choices are a bit petty just to fill out a Top 10 list? 🤔 Or was this all not to be taken all that seriously. 😄
    I wonder if “overpriced” is getting mingled with “overrated”. They are definitely two different things. I heartily agree that some here are WAY OVERPRICED. But, that would be a great Next Video. Now on to your 10 Underrated Knives. 🏃🏻‍♂️💨💨

Next knife I want infidel and 551-1.

  • @glennac
    @glennac 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alright, Alright! You say the Boker Kwaiken is overrated (I happen to disagree 🤔). Then…
    …particularly with the Mini Kwaiken in mind, what’s a better Gentlemen’s Carry than that in its’ price range? I’ve got the all-Copper version and it’s gorgeous and amazing in a pair of slacks. And when needed, it’s attractive and non-threatening in all scenarios. Very hardy & stiff, not like the delicate and spindly CRKT CEO.
    I just don’t see how the Mini Kwaiken is overrated. Just because you personally don’t care for a knife doesn’t make it overrated in the market place. I don’t care for Spydercos. But I’m not under the allusion that they are overrated. I’m sure they are popular for a reason. That reason though doesn’t happen to attract me.

    On the 940-1, your argument is that you think it's *overpriced* (which it is), not that it has physical shortcomings that would disqualify it as a reasonable choice as a top 10 knife. I haven't met a single person face to face or online that didn't love their 940 (Benchmade's notorious QA issues aside). It's an excellent knife made with excellent materials, and if you can get it on sale and it speaks to you, you should get it. Again, not overrated, just overpriced.

    I agree with a good bit of your list. However, you can't hit the 0556 without hitting the XM18. They're (from my experience) essentially the same knife and the XM18 is well over $400.Even with the upgrade to 20cv, It's not worth the price tag.

      The 0556 and the XM-18 are the same? No. You're thinking of the 0562, which was ZT's intended "XM-18" model. An argument could be made there for sure. The 0566 was designed by Hinderer, but it's quite a ways off.

    "It's just a blade and a handle" Yes MC that is what a folding knife is. XD I dunno about some of your picks you pick some bad value knives but I've literally never seen the Infidel or the Kwaiken on a rating list personally, I've never seen the Opinel on a list outside of starter or a budget list(and I think it deserves that place as a classic and a simple and extremely effective well priced knife).
    Most overrated knives imo: 1) Spyderco Delica this knife has been in way way way too many top ten lists for a knife that is only ok and is as bad of a value as it is, 2)Hinderer XM 18 again it's an ok knife that costs way too much but is considered a grail by too many people, 3)Spyderco PM2 Literally on every top 10 list from the beginning of time and is a good knife but the price is too high for the materials and it's nothing special imo, 4)Benchmade Bugout the cheap feeling kills it for me, 5)Benchmade 940s yes all of them, just a value issue for a knife that is rated so highly from what I've seen, 6)Spyderco Slyzch Bowie I honestly don't get why people crap their pants over this knife other than Nick Shabazz likes it, 7) Spyderco Para 3 is way too highly regarded for a knife that requires an aftermarket clip to be tolerable to carry, 8)Spyderco Tenacious for a knife that costs $50 for 8Cr13 this is way way too represented on top lists, 9)CRK Sabenza I just don't see the appeal like it's a TI framelock that doesn't have anything special going on and costs $400 why is this a grail?, 10) CRKT M16 see your complaints. Dishonorable mentions: Kizer Mini Sheepdog it's okay but I saw way too much hype about this knife and I really can't love the ergos, CRKT Large Pilar the action on this is awful at least mine was I dunno, Gerber Paraframe I think your complaints were totally valid and I could see this displacing another knife on the list.

      @@tankcrowe5417 respect. I don't question Chris Reeves contributions to the knife world and if I was picking iconic or historic knives for a collection I can absolutely see picking a Sebenza just not as a knife to use for me.

      @@gnomersy1087 I bought one he made by hand before he purchased CNC machines, think it was around 1995, with a one of a kind design on the scales and a Devin Thomas Damascus ladder pattern blade, I'm sorta a historic relic myself! 🤣😂

      Sebenza is attractive for 3 reasons. Wood inlays, damascus, an just the fact it's made by Chris Reeves.

    Funny, your picture of the 940 also has a lanyard in the stock photo, when the 940 has no lanyard hole! I do agree with your observations! Thanks for this!

    I get that the 940-1 is a little overpriced, but I still love mine! But I'm curious what your favorite knife would be for the $270 price tag.

      @@metal_complex Alright I'm glad. I'm 15 and now I am starting to get into higher end knives. The 0350 and 0562cf are my first ZT's and I think they'll serve me well. Just subbed to your channel and I'm looking forward to learning more about knives.

    I’ve never liked the look of the 940, the 0566 being steel frame and assisted definitely is meh if you compared to the 0562, I’d rather get a microtech over the infidel for the price. Lol but that’s just my opinion and people should carry what they want and like.

    I dunno why but the Gerber paraframe has always managed to get into my pocket. I only recall buying one. But somehow I own 3. I don't recall buying any of them except the one origional. But like em or not, they are effective and do poke holes. 😊

    I've got the CRKT M16-14SFG and it's nice to see it's worth more than when I bought it for 4 or 5 years ago. And there was just a BHQ vid? with a soldier who carried a variant on tour. So, overrated yes - but effective and durable enough ? Yep.

    I have expensive ass knives but my endura 4 and super freek m4 meet my nerds. Own a spyfie chef and the 940. Agree with you man. They hardly make rotation.

      what do you mean exactly by "out cut" ? the blade geometry is pretty thin so yea it can slice good.
