the food, the accent, the hotness....who is this guy?!!!
Hi from New Zealand x
Thank you Akis for the twist. My favourite salad is the original taboole; parsley, tomatoes, fresh and dry mint, bulgur, fresh lemon juice, salt and black pepper and extra virgin olive oil eaten with fresh crunchy lettuce leaves on a hot summer day.🌹🌹🌹...no cucumbers, no onions, no radishes.... when extra ingredients added it's not table any more, :( as for the bulgur, we don't cook it, only soak it at the beginning and will be ready by the time you finish chopping the veggies and should be less than the parsley (4 cups chopped parsley, 1/4 cup soaked and drained fine bulgur). Loads of love from Aleppo, Syria and Armenia 🌹🌹🌹
JJneta so many different ways to make tebouli usually go for the Lebanese way but he's doing the Greek way. I love cucumber like Akin so I add it. Love tomato that too. Tebouli is so freakin Delish.
La receta original es Griega Antes de la Era Actual, no había tomates El tomate llegó a Europa y Oriente a través de España es Americano y el cilantro y los pimientos y el maíz y las fresas etc etc
I'm so happy I found this channel. Akis, because of you I started to cook 3 months ago and I love it. I like your recipes because they are affordable, delicious and easy to cook by beginners! Thank you for this channel. Please carry on! ^_^
Akis!! It is always a pleasure following your show! The salad you created looks delicious, however it is NOT "Tabbouleh"
Traditional "Taboulleh" contains fresh tomatoes, parsley, mint, green onions , a small quantity of burgul wheat, fresh lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil.
Please recreate traditional Taboulleh and I am confident your viewers would love and truly appreciate it!!
Keep up the good work and God Bless you always!
Looks super delicious. My Yaya used to put tahini instead of olive oil, and that too was delicious.
I love this recipe, it reminds me of some thing we eat i Bosnia " jalan sarma". Thank you for this recipe
The greek version is very diff from the authentic Lebanese. We add diced tomatoes and no cucumbers. You can add sumac, dried mint and finely diced lemon peel. YUM
There is no Greek version because Tabouli is a Lebanese dish and don't exist in Greece. Changing the ingredients will turn it into something different than tabouli.
I can watch you all day !!!! Love your healthy Greek recipes :)
Wow, you elevate the food on the next level. I enjoy cooking your recipes... just delicious
Your voice makes me happy!
I love your version of doing anything
Great addition of cucumber
Yay! Healthy food is so good. I'll try this one.
I love it, absolutely wonderful.
Loooove the greens,☘🍀🌿
Loooove the cucumber, I don't care if my teeth will be green 🤣
It's master chef Akis awesome version 😍😍
Best Tabouleh ever!!!! Akis, you are the BEST!!!!
The 🥗 originally from lebanon. if you put some fresh tomatoes will give extra test 👍 still I like the way you did it .thank you !!!
Came for the recipe, stayed for how hot he is
Greek version Tabouleh is good I am glad you did not put Feta cheese :) nice to do variations. But the best is alway Levantine :) with also tomatoes, and fresh and dry mint.
I totally agree, Lebanese or Syrians are making the best tabouleh (Ταμπουλι)
I put feta cheese, it turned very well...
I love it!
Wonderful food. Thank you.
Yum yum. Το ταμπουλι, είναι και πολύ θρεπτικό. Parsley is very beneficial 🌿 herb. (pronounced erb, H is silent)
I am fan of your recipe it's so simple and ingredient easily avelebel in indian market
My english is soo bad 😊 but I like your recipe
And did it my way...yes akis 😘👌
Too good...
I love it.
1 of my favourite dressings to souvlaki or as a salad in a roll yummy 😋. Thank you 😂
Damn that looked delicious .
Normally tabouleh has more than just bulgur, parsley, and lemon😄 it has parsley, green onions, mint, tomato everything finely chopped. For sauce, lemon joice, olive oil, sumac, salt and a bit of black pepper and cinnamon. A small amount of bulgur ofcourse.
Love tabbouleh. Will surely try this version. Thanks för the tip of thoroughly chopping parsley.
I always wanted to make tabbouleh salad, looks so yummy, thanks Akis !! I'll try your version
I am freaking love you Greeks you are more than welcome and family to me I love you Greece 😍😍😍😍💋 please blessing me Greeks I enjoy youre history and everything about you sagapo Poli
Hello from Greece!
❤️
Lovely tabbouleh salad from amazing chef😋
Aki, tabouleh is made differently in different Arab countries. I don’t know where you learned it but you need to specify which country makes it the way you did on your show.
In Lebanon, tabouleh is made with parsley, tomatoes, green onions, bulgur soaked in water at onset so it will soften (no boiling bulgur ever), green fresh mint, salt, pepper, lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil.
No cucumber. Have you ever tried it this way? I think you will like it immensely.
J'adore
Hello from Canada. Looks good man!
Inspired by you (and huge bushes of mint growing in my garden like crazy) I tried it. And I liked it :) (I swapped cucumbers for raw zucchini though)
LOOKS OK
The Tabbouleh looks divine Thank you, for sharing Akis, :-)
Where is the link showing how to make the bulgur? Pls send or post it in the description. Thank you

Akkii tabouleh without tomatoes like a Greek salad without kalamata 😃
You can find Greek salad without olives! 😊😊
We do add cucumbers 🥒 in the original Tabouleh. It just depends on the region of the Levant. We do half tomatoes 🍅 half cucumber
I know but i like it! 😊
What is wrong with you?! You forgot to say extra virgin Greek olive oil 🤷🏻♀️
Lol
Akis Petretzikis I’m happy you reply, I like your Chanel so much, Hello from Albania
I'm sure he did! 🤔 He said 'extra virgin'...
Lol
Mia Vos did not say Greek 😂
Omg you are great I am also does this dish like you doing it god bless you bro
Yaaasssss!!!🖤🖤🖤
By the way, his website is amazing!!
I love taboulé and I do it the same way like your’s , but I put a little tomato 🍅 for the color 😋😋😋😋😋👍👍👍🌹
loved your way the prepare bulgur!!!!!
Very nice...
so healthy, will try this! Akis was very entertaining here :) I wonder if I can substitute bulgur wheat with Quinoa because I have a lot and hardly make anything with it
I was thinking of the same! I think quinoa will work 😊
and perhaps couscous may be a good substitite for bulgur too?
@@ronaumentado9304 I have both quinoa & couscous and was thinking of trying this recipe with both eventually!
I would choose quinoa but you can try both!
@@akispetretzikisen thank you Akis🙂 I will try both coucos is so easy to cook.😋 it's not the first time I modify recipes 🤭
Mint should be thinly chopped and added to the tomatoes to prevent it from turning black.
تبوله 😍
Traditionally the main ingredient which is parsley can be different according to the season! In some seasons parsley is not available and people do use other things instead like cabbage
iYou iTry I’ve also seen it with kale and quinoa.
But this version is the one I first had.
Tabouli is a Lebanese dish and what he did has nothing to do with tabouli. All the ingredients for the real Lebanese Tabouli are available all around the year and can't be changed but if you change any ingredient then call it something else but not tabouli.
Jesusistheonlysavior hahaha do you think parsley was variable in all seasons 100 years back lol do you think tomatoes was available in winter lol plz go read before you talk! In winter our grandparents never had tomatoes ... go read what they did instead
Not true... At least in modern lebanon you won't find it made with anything other than parsley anywhere. Really anywhere.
"Don't be chippy."
*”tscheapy”
Should I put ranch dressing on it?
Hey can you make Lomo Saltado?
3:51 I felt that here!
😂
This is not Tabbouleh. Missing: lots of tomatoes, regular onions. No cucumber.
Come on we do it with both cucumber and tomatoes and a mix of spring onions and regular one
I use exactly same engredians but I add tomato to them too.. Thank you
What main dish does it go well with?
Pork chops or anything you like!
@@akispetretzikisen Now that sounds good!!! 🏆🏆🏆
Tabbouleh without tomatoes? That's new.
May add lots of chopped tomatoes(on top of burgul), after the parsly add the onion with bit of salt and cinnamon . Mix all then at the end add( lemon juice and olive oil.
👌
I was watching the whole video and i don't remember any ingredient or what he was talking about. I love greeks😭😂❤
💖💖💖💖
What you add at first
my favorite! but i always use more mint. otherwise, the same.
I prefer it with Quinoa.
iYou iTry Then it is not taboule!! Why don’t you give it a new name? Call it your creation but not taboule. Please don’t be arrogant when you respond to people. Certain foods are made in a certain way like the Lebanese and Syrian taboule. One has cucumber, one does not have cucumber. We respect each other’s way of making it but it has always been made with parsley, tomatoes, green onions, fresh mint, bulgur, olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper and if you are Syrian, they add cucumber. The Lebanese do not.
When you change the recipe and you replace parsley with quinoa or even cabbage, that is not taboule. It is your own creation of an already established salad and again I have to reiterate that it is not taboule. Sorry I don’t mean to offend you but taboule is a staple food in my country of Lebanon and we would never substitute the ingredients. As for having parsley all year round, we do. Maybe where you are from, you don’t, but we do.
I have just noticed that the cucumber that you have over there are different than the ones I can buy here in Italy... I've never seen them in such a vibrant light green color. Ours are normally very dark green, and from the look of it, it seems that the skin of ours is much thinner. I do wonder if there is a difference in taste. Do you know if there are different variations of cucumber Akis? Maybe are they called a different thing? I would definitely like to try the "version" you have over there.
Seems very healthy and fresh indeed, I'll make some with mint next time, for sure. However, as I'm allergic to cucumbers, what would be a good alternative? Raw zucchini? What do you think about adding pumpkin seeds, for something crunchy?
You can omit it. You can use tomatoes too.
Tomato!
Also some dill maybe good with it
The version I've eaten has tomato, cucumber, parsley and bulgur, but I'm not sure it's ever had spring onion (maybe) or mint.
I guess as long as you have bulgur and parsley and olive oil and lemon, you can use whatever else you have from that range. No carrots or celery or red onion though.
now i understand what italians feel when ppl destroy their recipes lmao
Nice! - oh no tomato ?
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!
(Arab here)
Where's the tomato?! helloooo it's like making Tzatziki using tomato instead of cucumber :/ you can't switch main ingredients of a recipe and still call it by it's original name
Dear Akis, would you kindly make some Chicken Harissa with couscous and show us how to, please? Thank you 😊
You can check this recipe akispetretzikis.com/en/categories/kotopoylo-galopoyla/pikantiko-kotopoylo-harissa
no tomatoes? maybe this is greek tabboule
yes...he says its his version closest to the original (that has burgur, parsely, lime/lemon, salt and pepper only). The tabule with tomatos and onions are a more common version not the original. You can surelly add what you like best!
marry me
My mamy used to make the best taboulé of the World.
My sister tried to make this and she has the after effects covid her taste isn't back. Her "version" is like eating a straight up lemon with parsley 🤢
Tabouli is a famous Lebanese dish and changing the ingredients will turn it into something else and that's fine but please don't call it Tabouli.
Akis always adds his touch on recipes, coz food is art, so I think we can call it tabouleh v 2.0 😂
This is Not tabouli the real one is Lebanese and Greek don’t it and if you decide to change it then call it something else.
Fake tabbouleh, got nothing to do with the original Lebanese/Syrian version and i think cucumber would taste awful in such a mix and thats why the real creators of tabbouleh never added it from the first place
Hello call it what ever you want but not tabboulé.the real Lebanese taboulé has parsley very little borghol fresh mint fresh oignons and a lot of tomatoes lemon oil salt and little pepper but never concoumber.if you want I invite you to eat the real tabboulé in my place
Traditionally it’s with tomato and has no cucumber!
He says it's his own version
I’m sorry, it needs red tomatoes, this is really not taboule’ although I enjoyed the show. 👍🏼
Where's the burger he was mentioning?
Here it is! akispetretzikis.com/en/categories/kinoa-ryzi-kritharaki-amp-patates/pligoyri
It’s probably tasty but you should change the name of this healthy salad cuz it’s no longer authentic Lebanese Taboule’
Bro this is not tabboule at alll !
he did say this is his version, and not the original.
There’s no recipe. It’s just herbs, bulgar, lemon and other veg.
I am sorry but this is everything but a tabouli 😀
Loooove the greens,☘🍀🌿
Loooove the cucumber, I don't care if my teeth will be green 🤣
It's master chef Akis awesome version 😍😍
