In the Middle East they also make it WITHOUT ANY GRAINS. Their secret ingredient, which you left out is Pomegranate juice. They often make it with just parsley and mint, tomatoes, (sometimes cucumbers) onions lemon juice, pomegranate juice, cumin, salt and pepper. The oil is optional. It tastes great without the oil too and without the grains it is much more healthful and easier to digest.

TABBOLAH is alot of parsley very little amount of burgol soket in cold water otherwise you will cook it and get sticky and moshi. Less tomato no cucumber a bit of onion plus lemon juice spices light olive oil salt .that is it .God bless you.
i make it exactly like this too but i like adding a whole bunch of fresh coriander and dill too. cant have too much fresh herbs in tabbouleh! perfect cold summer dish
Hi Martha, try next time , not to soak the burgel in hot water, use haf the amount, add the tomatoes, onions, salt, and let the burgel absorb the tomato juice, wait 5 minutes, than add the rest of the ingredients. This is the right way to make the taboule,

it's so good. I've never made it. I'm the only one that eats it ay house, so I just buy it at the natural food store

For a Tabouleh you need only a couple of teaspoons of bulgur, not your masses of it.
