Yeah there are still core developers at 343 that really do care about Halo but had to deal with bad leadership for years. I'm sure there's so much nuance and behind the scenes stories that we just don't know about but it really seems like the current team is doing their best to turn Halo Infinite into a product of love for the franchise.
@@Mario_Universe It's one thing to be frustrated by leadership not doing good job as we'd hope, but I think it's important to remember they're human too. Don't get me wrong, criticism is appropriate, but conspiracy theories (that I've seen from some) that they're intentionally bringing it down or something I find to be in poor taste (and probably not accurate). Happy to see good changes though.
Season 4 was when the game started getting good, Season 5 is where it started getting great and I think once they finally roll out their desync fix to the rest of the game beyond firefight, the game will be basically peak Halo. Like yeah, they could expand the sandbox, they could add more modes, they could do x, y, z, but the core is strong and the content is there (and with them wanting to highlight forge content more aggressively, it'll be one of the most active live services in this regard), and it can really only go up.
I also recently came back to Halo infinite. I'm very pleased to see how much theyve updated the game. The battle pass still bugs me but getting the full mechanical experience of the game for free is incredible
There is one thing I like about the battle pass system in Infinite and it's that any of the battle passes are permanently available once purchasing them. Removes the fomo that other games use to drive traffic to their battle passes. It's not like those earlier ones were great but it's something.
I returned to Halo Infinite when Season 5 Launched. The flood themed armor really drew me in as well as the rank progression system. Really just been having a blast practicing and getting better, been playing it consistently almost everyday ever since S5. I'm an og Halo player so I had to give Infinite a chance again. Definitely recommend.
It’s free to play and you don’t even need xbox live to play it. Actually my favourite halo and I’ve played since CE on the og xbox. Firefight is just sooo good and there’s so much more to come
I have similar reasons for not really recommending Halo Infinite. I *love* the core gameplay, BTB in particular. Infinite BTB CTF is the most fun game mode in any FPS ever for me. In fact, it was so fun for me that… you know when it was really broken during that first december and you basically had to retry BTB matches for like 3-4 before you got a working match? Yeah, I did that, *again and again* all and put up with the bugginess because it was still so damn fun. So… I realised very few others would probably stomach that. Anyway, happy that Infinite is better, it truly does seem better now!
Rock solid connections and points man! It’s not everyday you get somebody who provides good gameplay and good commentary that goes in depth, so, jackpot, I found that channel that can do that! In any case, you have armed an subscriber, cheers.
Early 2023 was probably the lowest point Halo has ever been in. The transformation the game has made since the shake up at 343 has been nothing short of a miracle. The game is now in the hands of the man who made MCC into what it is now, so I only see the best in the future for the game.
I quit Infinite after trying and trying to get myself use to one of the simpliest mechanics, the aiming. I cant for the lofe of me enjoy a game where i am constently fighting against the game when trying to correct my aiming but the game insists on trying to do it for me. In turn causes a over correctness thus screwing up my aim and giving me a unfair death. Yes, ive tried altering my settings. Nothing works. So i dropped it. If a game, where the basic mechanics screw players over, then im not going to have a good experince. It doesnt matter what is brogiht back to it. If it isnt fixed or a priority then it never will be. Its been stated countless times during its first inital glight that the aiming was off but nothing was done to it. Sure they are working on desync but what about Bullet Magnetism and aim assist? Those are still widely broekn and still need fixed. So i wont come back until that is addressed and if not then ill just wait, but i wont hold my breathe. Also look up Critical Infinite, he basically expalins everything that i am expericning. Then maybe, just maybe more people will see where the true issues lie.
Thanks for letting me know about Critical Infinite. I watched his last video and it's SUPER interesting content. I wish he kept going. I'll have to watch the other videos but the last basically articulates the frustration I had as a mnk player last year. Basically the aiming for Halo franchise wide was made as forgiving as possible without feeling cheap because it has always been a primarily console shooter. It's foundations were made to make the controller experience as smooth as possible. I can only imagine how it felt as a controller player having those slight changes make you feel crazy lol. Interesting to note that his last video was uploaded a month before Bonnie Ross left and at least some aiming changes to the game were made later that year, December I think. I would love to see him test some things now.
I'm thinking about it, looking forward to more updates. Selling Chief's armor as a microtransaction really ticked me off. Two armors that were default in previous games. Disgusting
I don't find it as egregious when I look at it from afar, I spent money for the Battle Pass and the CE armour but haven't really looked at anything else. I'm not saying I'm all for it, not at all because I believe there is a better way to go about it especially since it's a free2play which when done right doesn't need to have a sequel every 3 years or so for the same game just with subtle differences and also because I want to game to have more varied Spartans but the Battle Pass, it's essentially a one time purchase save for the first one, for all of them. You contrast that with the low population count compared to other contemporary titles that follow the same sort of model and it's way better for the player yet it's underperforming. My point is that I'm not ticked off as much, and also that I want Halo and 343i to be well-fed but they should try a different diet because they made the dining room too blue.
I mean passes and micro transactions should probably be the least of worrys especially if it's just gonna be more free games, but Pierre Hintze has been working on the older games for about a decade at this point so I got a good feeling he knows what he's doing, and so far it's already showing.
@@yahboi3640 why do you assume I'm "full of hate" because I don't like this Halo game? It's really bad. More people play Farming Simulator than it. Call me frustrated at that.
@maizeman90 halo 4 and 5 had actual progession that felt rewarding, none of their armours were locked behind a pay wall and the gameplay wasn't inherently broken. It's the worst Halo game by a large margin
I liked that you talked about the team behind it. I think we fans often forget that there are really people behind the screen.

People make a good game company. Its why old bungie would run circles around current bungie hands down.

Bro really managed to keep a rock solid commentary in the midst of combat. Most impressive.
He perfectly demonstrated composure, concentration, proper communication, and hand & eye coordination.
The levels of multitasking here is A1 👌🏾
Practice from just playing Halo while hanging out on Discord lol
@@atlien1988 That's high praise

Yup you get it lol. Yeah that first half of 2022 was frustrating but still fun for me.
I still think mrk V should have been free. Could have been at the halfway point like gold or platinum to get it then at hero unlock mrk VI
Would be nice.

when your winning it's fun but when your losing it's not fun. I feel like this doesn't happen in older halo games.
This is just how any multiplayer FPS goes, really.
Maybe if the game had more funny/pop culture related emotes your friends would be more inclined to play it with you.
Eminem coming to Halo Infinite

Yeah no harm in waiting. The value will likely only get better but that microtransaction shop is definitely the biggest blemish right now.

I’m a Halo fan but I can’t get past how plastic infinite looks.
It’s better than halo 4 in that regard imo
It's all about settings, you have to do a lot with the settings if you want it to be more realistic and you have the option.
if you support this shit, 343 is going to do the same stuff next game. Battlepasses microtransactions and all
