The game is in a good spot now. I don't think it is necessarily a game most people will want to grind or play every single day, but if you like Halo or Shooters in general it is 100% worth having installed and trying out at this point.
I kinda stopped during season 2 but season 3 came and I kinda played every other week. As soon as season 5 dropped, I’ve been playing almost daily doing my challenges, really looking forward to firefight being added in a couple weeks. 343 is doing a good job with the content, yes they had issues, but instead of dropping the game like some studios *ahem EA* they kept listening to the community and pump out more content.
Was never that into halo as a kid, but infinite is the game that made me a halo fan and go back and start the MCC with friends. Infinites campaign was 🔥
Yeah I dropped in recently and played a bit. It is still a fun game but I feel like they need to curate playlists so you can just try out new maps or modes.
Story definitely matters. After the next couple updates where these developers can finally take a breathe, they should start working on story DLC. Remember, they wanted Halo: Infinite to last 10 years. I get they haven't announced any story DLC because these past couple years, they've been scrambling to turn this game around. Now that they've almost done it, they should start brain-storming for some story-driven DLC.
I feel you on the one expansion away from turning heads, Season 5 piqued my interest after years of not playing and I've been a halo fan since day 1. I did play season 1-2 a little bit but there were a lot of issues back then. There are still some desync and wonky melee moments in season 5 but not as bad. Forge is still buggy but workable.
i still think the game and 343 have much to catch up on when compared to the past halo titles, but to be fair, 343 clearly is trying to turn things around and credit where credit is due.
I never stopped playing (my playing time is around a month of actual gameplay at this point). The game play was just so damn fun for me! I think it actually edged out CE as my favorite iteration of Halo multiplayer (CE will always be my fav campaign though). Yeah, I know it lacked content on launch, but the content that was there just happened to really hit the sweet spot for me. In particular, I've had so much fun with Infinite's iteration of BTB. Even in December, when BTB was bugged and getting into a game took forever with failed attempts, I still almost exclusively played BTB all the time. The mode was (and is!) just that fun for me.
Ikr that's ridiculous It's like they don't think people actually hangout together in person anymore smh Or they just straight up trying to discourage it for some dumb reason

I started playinf Infinite since the very first beta test, and have continiued playing since then. So many players have left, but it's nice to finally see the game in the state that it should have been in at launch. If you haven't tried it, I highly suggest it.
Playable Elites with dual wielding, and an Arbiter split-screen campaign DLC to be form fitting, launch that alongside a Certain Infinity ODST battle royal PVE. Halo’s back.
I've put my time in every week since the game came out and it's incredible how much thing's have changed since its "launch." Feels so good that Halo's getting some serious spotlight right now.

The BIGGEST things Halo Infinite (and other shooters) are missing are pregame and postgame lobbies. FPS multiplayer games like halo and cod, the customization and commendations are cool, but it barely means shit to me unless I can show it off easily. Something where I feel like, when people scroll over my profile in-game, they get intimidated. Stuff like rank, campaign difficulty completed, armor, XP, matches played, matches won, or back in like mw2, the nuke emblem and special gold titles. And postgame lobbies that don’t disband to maintain an adversarial relationship between matches. Those two things (but mainly pregame lobbies like Halo Reach, 3, and mw2) would get me to care about my accomplishments and Spartan customization
Been trying to get back into multiplayer FPS and every single game I tried prior to Halo was so frustrating to play not being a turbo nerd gamer god. Halo Infinite feels like what online multiplayer used to be back in the day. So fun.
I'm currently downloading halo infinite for the first time Edit: I never tried it before because I didn't and still don't want to forgive Cortana's bull sh$' in halo 5. But I have realized that 343 finally nailing the formula of the Halo magic we all loved shouldn't be held back by the disaster of Halo 5 if it can be helped!!! I've seen a few bits and pieces and I kind of know how the game starts and ends but I know nothing about how we get there, and to me, the journey IS the destination!!! Also the weapon should not be held responsible for the actions of her pure evil twin sister cortana Edit 2: at this point I bleeping HATE Cortana!!! Chiefs actions in Halo 5 were distressingly out of character... I think there's a reason for that though... In the original halo chiefs helmet she compares his brain to the ship's computer she was just in... And the master chief says and I quote "don't get any funny ideas".... now why would you go and say that Chief??? Now you KNOW she's going to get funny ideas!!! She's a clone of Dr Halsey of all people!!!!
I always had Xbox since the 360 and i never bothered to play Halo but NOW i see why its our flagship game🔥 This one definitely got me geeked to play thru all of them now
It's been good! I've thoroughly enjoyed their work in repairing things. The multiplayer felt top notch! Well done with recovery so far, 343. In my opinion at least. And I have only dabbled too, prior to anyways.
Hi Matty, I know I’m late to the party for commenting but is there any flak out there worth making a video on where the heck the Halo campaign/story is heading. Lots of unanswered questions in the infinite campaign that I don’t want left abandoned.
You say it all..is good time to have some fun with it. Im hoping for a well done BR mode and more story for sure. Im pretty happy with whats going on with Xbox.
I have been playing pretty steadily since season 3 dropped, but ever since season 4 onward I have been fully back in on the Halo train. The gameplay is the best ever in the series, and now it has the Contant to match. I can safely say it’s my favorite multiplayer in the series. The campaign was fun, but the bland world design and mediocre narrative, pale in comparison to Bungies efforts. Once Firefight drops midseason, I think infinite can safely stand amongst the best Halo games though.
every halo game even bungies had there strong and weak points. infinite got chief spot on better than any halo and they nailed the gameplay loop so well, its mp i agree is the best since h2. sadly there are still a huge amount of people out there who just hate 343i and hate halo for not being a bungie game so the game willalways get bad rep
Firefight is coming and is already in custom games, technically multi team is already in custom games, and I doubt Griff ball is EVER coming back considering it was promotional material for Red vs Blue and people really hate the new seasons plus rooster teeth in general right now.
I stopped playin infinite when it was lacking well everything tbh, the only way to get armor is to go through the battle pass and back then season 1 and 2 there was a piece of armor every like 20 levels or so and it was too much to grind and my character looked bland and just wasn’t a fan but now with all these updates and the seasons technically don’t really expire it made it a lot more bearable and I actually played it the first time in a few years and I actually had fun on it, like now it’s what halo used to be and what it should’ve been, and also about the story I have a feeling that they will build up a story from the multiplayer cinematics from each season up to where it’s about the endless and then carry on with the single player story from there, just a theory but it’d be sweet
I just got this game, playing it on my series x on my new lg g3 evo with dolby vision.. The game is absolutely awesome, they graphics are excellent true next gen (specially with dolby vision), the environments and levels are huge and it brings back the same feeling and exitiment of the first halo. To be honest I do not know why this game got such negative criticism the game in my view is outstanding..
For some odd reason I find it boring without music/Spotify in the background. I don’t know if it’s due to the new Bandit pacing or what but my mind gets bored with it quick and there needs to be more sound stimulation in game if that makes sense? Maybe it’s ADD 🤷♂️
I finally tried out infinite, it’s fun. I’m decent at cod and battlefield, but I’m getting schooled on halo. But yeah compared to mcc online I can actually get some kills.
Halo 3 is one of my favorite games all-time. Im glad this one improved somewhat, but it still doesn't have any of that "magic" to me. which pretty much all Western franchises have lost. The only way I could see myself returning to the franchise is if a Japanese studio got the rights to Halo.

The game is in a good spot now. I don't think it is necessarily a game most people will want to grind or play every single day, but if you like Halo or Shooters in general it is 100% worth having installed and trying out at this point.
They should fix desync, focus on story dlc and performance optimization.
This
Halo Infinite had a content problem. It was always good at its core.
@@bobjoe5937Yep because 343 bright idea was to create a engine of their own instead of using Unreal
@@bobjoe5937Not much better than bungies net code either 😅
@@johnboko7110Halo has never used unreal

i remember the days when Halo 3 first came out....those were the best days for games
I love Halo Infinite. My favorite multiplayer game.
Agreed
Halo should prioritize campaign FIRST multiplayer SECOND
Period
@@GORILLA_PIMPthat's never going to happen. The money always was int he multiplayer and now even more so
@@Connor8609 right and that's one of the main reasons halo has lost it's true self
EVERYTHING is getting worse
Not just halo
I feel you on the one expansion away from turning heads, Season 5 piqued my interest after years of not playing and I've been a halo fan since day 1. I did play season 1-2 a little bit but there were a lot of issues back then. There are still some desync and wonky melee moments in season 5 but not as bad. Forge is still buggy but workable.
Dude you say years ? The game came out less then two years ago and 😂😂😂
@@Mcjesus97 you do know season 2 came out like the beginning of last year? so yea about 2 years dude.

i still think the game and 343 have much to catch up on when compared to the past halo titles, but to be fair, 343 clearly is trying to turn things around and credit where credit is due.
this game will end up having a No Man's Sky level redemption story, I mean were in just year 2 of their 10 year plan
The game’s a lot of fun now. I blew through the newest battle pass 😂
As much as I’m glad they’re doing more - I really want them to do the split screen local co-op they cancelled 😞
Ikr that's ridiculous
It's like they don't think people actually hangout together in person anymore smh
Or they just straight up trying to discourage it for some dumb reason
isn't split screen coop already available for mp since launch?
Not sure about MP but I still think it's a no, I want it for the campaign though as my wife and I have almost finish playing through the Master Chief Collection@@REALMARCHINADER
@@WelshDag splitscreen has been available for mp ever since launch, did you even bother checking if it was available :/
Season 5 has been amazing so far imo… and PvE is on the horizon!
But since the update last Tuesday I’ve had the worst Desync and Lag I’ve experienced since launch lol
@@teddyholiday8038Firefight was officially announced by 343i to come later in Season 5.
Halo is finally where it should have been 2+ years ago. Highly recommend installing it again
Really enjoying the Halo 3 multiplayer game mode, brings back SO many great memories 👍
I've put my time in every week since the game came out and it's incredible how much thing's have changed since its "launch."
Feels so good that Halo's getting some serious spotlight right now.
This game so insanely sweaty tho. Very very high skill ceilings.
nah compared to a game like apex or r6 its not that sweaty
That’s just halo in general and part of what makes it great. It’s got a high skill ceiling, much like r6
@@kennycarter4932 If you use a mnk it is a controller not so much, use a mnk to play Infinite and you will see just how bad the game was designed...you have to be a robot in order to play it on mnk. So I just aimbot now why fight fair if they intentionally make controllers greater than mnk via insane aim assist and crazy bullet mag.
I've started playing again this season after leaving after season 2. I've been having a blast. They've really been trying to make this game better
I’d like pre and post game lobbies, but no map voting. Also, I think they’re unlikely to come out due to the game being made for a “modern audience.”
He said "get intimidated" 🤣
@@GORILLA_PIMP And? You don’t know their rank.
@@GORILLA_PIMPuse your brain for a second and you’ll realize that’s what it’s about 🤷♂️
Been trying to get back into multiplayer FPS and every single game I tried prior to Halo was so frustrating to play not being a turbo nerd gamer god.
Halo Infinite feels like what online multiplayer used to be back in the day. So fun.
I’m loving it!
I'm currently downloading halo infinite for the first time
Edit: I never tried it before because I didn't and still don't want to forgive Cortana's bull sh$' in halo 5.
Also the weapon should not be held responsible for the actions of her pure evil twin sister cortana
Edit 2: at this point I bleeping HATE Cortana!!!
What's holding infinite back? T rating, xbox one, 343.
All that affects is language and gore lol, that doesn't hold anything back.
Hi Matty, I know I’m late to the party for commenting but is there any flak out there worth making a video on where the heck the Halo campaign/story is heading. Lots of unanswered questions in the infinite campaign that I don’t want left abandoned.
Cool vid. Also, played a lot of Infinite, all FOVs are viable but I find 120 too high for my liking. Probably 110 or lower to secure more gunbattles.
105 is my go-to
@@thatoneguywhouploads same
Dam i never even heard of field of vision in games until the other day
Should i even worry about changing it if i only play single player?
@@GORILLA_PIMP I say give it a shot! Maybe it'll be fun.
Now that Xbox has CoD I doubt halo is going to get the love people want it to.
Infinites world/map was pretty bland i agree
I'm playing again and I'm having a blast. Nothing like zoning out on the campaign for hours
Once firefight, grifball, and multi team are added the game will finally be complete for me
Firefight is coming and is already in custom games, technically multi team is already in custom games, and I doubt Griff ball is EVER coming back considering it was promotional material for Red vs Blue and people really hate the new seasons plus rooster teeth in general right now.
Husky raid is so much fun
Yeah, i always switch to another one after i complete one, so important that i can go back to old battlepasses and unlock cosmetics i missed out on
The video ive been waiting for.
Season 5 brought me back after a long hiatus. The firefight custom games are a blast.
Husky Raid is unreal, I can't stop playing it, absolutely love it
I never left. I was hooked on the gameplay day one. Its the only fps i care about.
Halo is getting better and better. It’s in a great state at the moment.
We’re back.
I've been enjoying Halo Infinite for a few weeks now. It's genuinely getting to a real good place now.
Played today, gameplay gunplay is top, and it doesn't feel like chore....it feels like a game
Never left halo infinite been having a blast especially with season 5 🙌🏼🔥💯
Im playing atm. The multiplayer is is in great shape now
Too little, too late.
It's only too little too late if you're dead, in this case you aren't so hop on and teabag some war criminals, Spartan.
Literally a few hours right after I re downloaded it. What’re the odds! Funny, but you rock matty!
Happy Halloween Matty!!!
Having so much fun getting back to Halo
I finally tried out infinite, it’s fun. I’m decent at cod and battlefield, but I’m getting schooled on halo. But yeah compared to mcc online I can actually get some kills.
I always said Husky Raid is all I needed to come back. I've been back since
Halo Infinite, at its core if ya ask me, has always been great and it’s getting much better by the day.
I want to make a League of Legends style game mode for Halo. Is it possible with forge?
Personality I would love a battlefield game mode. Just me tho.
Halo 3 is one of my favorite games all-time. Im glad this one improved somewhat, but it still doesn't have any of that "magic" to me. which pretty much all Western franchises have lost. The only way I could see myself returning to the franchise is if a Japanese studio got the rights to Halo.
You can get past content ala carte in the customization menu.
Nah it just redirects you to the appropriate bundle, cant buy individual pieces
I don't think the story really matters at all. I have over 2000 hours total on Halo MCC and Halo Infinite, but haven't played the campaigns yet.
ive noticed that people rocking the chimera armor set usually suck, i dont know what the reason is but ive noticed this as a trend
