Update: GoPro's official Twitter account as of 12:08PM EST responded to another tweet stating the following regarding the GoPro Max 2: "We continue to be happy with the performance of MAX + don't have anything to share in the 360/spherical market this year." So there you have it... Another year without a GoPro Max 2. Color me, disappointed 🙃
The Insta360 X3 is their action camera version. It has 1/2" sensors with waterproofing to 3 meters (or is it 10m). The One RS 1" 360 is geared more towards professionals in the housing industry (but you can still use it as an action cam)
You're absolutely right! The X3 is a solid option for those looking to upgrade like myself. I REALLY want to give that One RS 1" a run on some outdoor content like hiking and snowboarding but that price point and irreplaceable lenses are a huge obstacle for me. At least it's weather-sealed, right?
GoPro's Quik app does need a major overhaul. I do believe a Max 2 would put them over the top even if they just include a 1/2" sensor, improve resolution + fps, and include a much improved battery like an Enduro battery.
I noticed after recording that I did forget to turn off one of the louder AC units in the living room 🤣 apologies but my newer videos don't have this issue now 😅
i like the insta360 x form factor than the gopro max form factor. but if gopro can come with 8k for a reframed 4k, that would convince me. otherwise anything else isnt as important as the form factor to me.
Totally understandable! I do like that I can incorporate my DJI Wireless mics with the insta360 X camera and get even better audio. If the GoPro Max 2 can somehow incorporate external microphone adapters without compromising the stitching, that's a huge W in my book as well.
Same here! I've been using GoPro religiously for well over four years now. Although the new insta360 X3 looks quite tempting, I'm still holding out for the Max 2.
@@smkyzorkite it's so aggravating to me that GoPro made the Max and... Just forgot about it? It's arguably their best camera! 🤣 The X3 is a solid upgrade to our Max, specs-wise.
