I played Destiny 1 with my son, who was in elementary school. Now, he's an adult, making his way in the world. 10 years flew by and was an eternity at the same time.
Same here my dude. Started with 17 and now almost 27. In the last decade I've been through so many things in life, with this game always accompanying me. Especially if you where there since the beginning, seeing this game evolve as you also do as a person over the span of a decade is a experience I will never forget. I was able to grow as a person and this game with it's narrative, lore and music always kept inspiring me to overcome my obstacles.
And every year you've been killing the same enemies over and over... And 10 years later I bet you are gonna kill again the same enemies in some missions xD, SOOOO tired...

Damm 10 years since we all started to become legends. I started my journey on D1 when I was 24 years old, my friend first introduced me to this game and I was blown away. Now im 35 years old and a warlock main, I would never gotten here to play this game and followed the lore if it wasn't for my friend told me to come back to play. I got almost every single one of co workers to play and now we must prepare to fight the Witness and the Dread!!!! We became legend.
What it doesn't know is that we *are* the plan. It's been shaping us for ages... we'll become the transcendent Final Shape, the peak lifeform, wielder of Light and Dark in complete harmony. All because the Witness creates the scenario that brings us into the Traveler. The irony that in trying to destroy us, it will elevate us. Sweet.
This is the most sincere Cayde has sounded since those times he talked about Ace, and I'm 110% here for it So insane that it's been almost 10 years, I'm so excited for this expansion, and I can't wait to see how this ends!!!
I miss when he had serious moments back in D1. Nolan's performance for Forsaken was good, but Nathan's delivery in, for example, the Archon Priest fly-in dialogue, low, serious, dangerous, it was so much deeper in terms of who Cayde was.
Agreed! Cayde's serious moments in D1 had the same effect! It just reminds me that this is the end, and if The Witness wins, we're done for. The stakes here feel _real,_ and comedic characters like Cayde acknowledging how serious all of this is really adds to the tension!!! SO HYPED FOR THIS EXPANSION!!!

I'm excited to see what Cayde and his new, more serious vibe has to say about Forsaken as well It's crazy to think that, supposedly, when Cayde was killed, he just woke up in the Pale Heart and has been there for over 5 years! I imagine he'll still have comedy and all, but I'm glad that for this, they didn't make it his whole character and really let him match the vibe of the expansion, and it even seems like he's been developing and evolving in the Pale Heart ever since Forsaken, so I imagine he'll have some interesting stories to tell! I think this is the most excited I've been for a new Destiny expansion since Forsaken, honestly. I missed this :D

Showing nothing, hinting nothing, driving fake hype to actually get suckers to fall in the preorder trap again so they don't have to accept the fact they are going to get again deliver us underwhelming content, a shitty day one raids experience and with the raid being apart of the story we can already tell it's gonna be another sorry excuse for a raid with brain dead mechanics and 2 bosses
@GavinR-qj7ot we fight fallen and cabal too, but we got some of those guys on our side. I think it would make sense if some lucent hive decided they felt a stronger connection to the traveler itself and wanted to help us, even if only temporary.
Ngl I wish she were a raid boss. She was such and ominous figure for soooo long and played her trickery in the bg so well that she deserves to at least be the final, final boss.
Started playing D1 the minute it released when I was 24. I’m now 34. This game has helped me through so much over the years. Keeping up with the lore and looking forward to new content for a decade. I never could’ve guessed that game I preordered cause it was the creators of halo and looked exciting continued evolving and kept me consumed into this universe for this long. It’s crazy to think we’re this close to the conclusion of the light vs dark saga that’s been building since 2014.

I’ve come to appreciate the imagination of world building from this game. And I truly believe had I never discovered this game and experienced what it had to its fullest, my life would probably be in a different direction than it is now, and I don’t believe I would be as happy or expressive as I am today. And if that can be said about something, that thing isn’t a waste in my book.

But if you reaaallllyyy just wanna know and not look thru it, I’ll spoil it below: Mara is implied to not be Mara here, but Riven disguised as Mara. And Crow says he “wishes” (in his own words) that he could tell Cayde he shouldn’t have killed him. And “Mara’s” (Riven’s) eyes “sparkle.” This is something that happens when an Ahamkara grants a wish to someone. So, to put it simply, Crow accidentally wished Cayde back into existence, but with some twisting of his wish, as Riven naturally does. But this reveals that she was kind enough to actually secretly grant two wishes instead of just one, even if she never told us anything about it.
Cayde is 100% gonna die I feel like. Something like we are about to lose to the witness again. We weren’t prepared enough to fight it. Cayde will transmit in and do something taking his life again but stopping the final shape from happening.
despite the boatload of problems this game has and the ups and downs it still feels good to have come from the start right up to the end. im playing lightfall with a friend and we are having a blast will do witch queen next. like ive hated this game on and off for ages i stopped playin 2 years ago but idk something pulled me back into it. while im only a casual player and dont have many exotics and have never done a raid its still been a hell of a journey from start to finish
I started playing Destiny 2 before Forsaken, I was sick and sitting at home when I saw this game on PS+. Now this is one of my favorite games and I have a good time playing it. One of the most interesting gaming stories and lore. I'm SO GLAD I was sick that day.

The sadness and disgust in his voice when he mentions that he expected to see us at any corner, only to be met by the Witness’ corruption of the Pale Heart is emotionally palpable.
Definitely blows away any concerns that cayde would just be another nimbus (not taking the situation seriously at all). He knows the stakes and it scare him.

I remember downloading Destiny 2 in september 2018, because it was a free monthly game for PSN+ and I am a big space/sci-fi fan. I didn't always play, because of busy IRL or other games, but I kept coming back to this game. I got every DLC since Witch Queen (+ Beyond Light when it was free to get some time ago). It makes me so excited to explore the beautiful Pale Heart! I am proud to be a Titan Guardian for 8 years, it has been quite a wild trip! Lets do this together, one more time! Eyes up, Guardian!

I honestly didn’t expect Savathun coming along to aid us. But, if her story were to end here, and not later after Final Shape, it’d be poetic if: She betrays us by taking the Pale Heart. But like those before her, she pays for her hubris, greed, and arrogance. The pure power of the Pale Heart, is too much, and the Light destroys Immaru, then Savathun, as they are overloaded with blinding power. She’s moth-like, and moths often die due to touching the light they are attracted to.

I was 14 when I started the first Destiny. I still remember the jitters, waiting until midnight. The first time I was allowed to stay up until that time to play for a few minutes. Now I’m 24. The jitters are back. The end to an era. It’s bittersweet. Even with Destiny having their hiccups, the game had introduced me to lifelong friends, endless joy and continual excitement. What a ride. I still can’t believe it’s almost over.
There is no official answer. It is mostly speculative. Likely, the merging of everything in the universe or erasing everything and remaking it anew. All that is really known, for sure, is that no good can come from it.
Started my gaurdian journey when I was only 21 years old. I'll be 32 this year 👴 Ah, take me back to those good ol days of Destiny. A place where the game's future was but a mystery. Take me back to the honeymoons of all the expansion hypes where the hours of our lives flew by. The final shape is giving me that vibe again. I just wish we never aged, or completely die... kinda just our guardian.

Seeing Savathûn ,followed by Mithrax and Caiatl really makes me very hopeful that she will also be involved in our attack against the Witness
If nothing else she'll show up to stall the Witness's forces while we get business done.

Started playing D1 the minute it released when I was 24. I’m now 34. This game has helped me through so much over the years. Keeping up with the lore and looking forward to new content for a decade. I never could’ve guessed that game I preordered cause it was the creators of halo and looked exciting continued evolving and kept me consumed into this universe for this long. It’s crazy to think we’re this close to the conclusion of the light vs dark saga that’s been building since 2014.

Mara is implied to not be Mara here, but Riven disguised as Mara. And Crow says he “wishes” (in his own words) that he could tell Cayde he shouldn’t have killed him. And “Mara’s” (Riven’s) eyes “sparkle.” This is something that happens when an Ahamkara grants a wish to someone.
So, to put it simply, Crow accidentally wished Cayde back into existence, but with some twisting of his wish, as Riven naturally does. But this reveals that she was kind enough to actually secretly grant two wishes instead of just one, even if she never told us anything about it.

Cayde is 100% gonna die I feel like. Something like we are about to lose to the witness again. We weren’t prepared enough to fight it. Cayde will transmit in and do something taking his life again but stopping the final shape from happening.

despite the boatload of problems this game has and the ups and downs it still feels good to have come from the start right up to the end. im playing lightfall with a friend and we are having a blast will do witch queen next. like ive hated this game on and off for ages i stopped playin 2 years ago but idk something pulled me back into it. while im only a casual player and dont have many exotics and have never done a raid its still been a hell of a journey from start to finish

I started playing Destiny 2 before Forsaken, I was sick and sitting at home when I saw this game on PS+. Now this is one of my favorite games and I have a good time playing it. One of the most interesting gaming stories and lore.

I started playing when I was 7, during the taken king on ps3. My dad introduced me to destiny, and now I can’t stop playing. It’s been an amazing 8 or so years, and I’m glad I can say that.
Started my adventure round 14... Haven't been here nearly as long as everyone else but I'm 21 and what we now know as final shape, I never thought I'd see and yet, it gets closer with each passing day.
Can we just keep in mind that cayde is way more serious about what's going on than he usually is. I like the character development with him
The sadness and disgust in his voice when he mentions that he expected to see us at any corner, only to be met by the Witness’ corruption of the Pale Heart is emotionally palpable.
Definitely blows away any concerns that cayde would just be another nimbus (not taking the situation seriously at all). He knows the stakes and it scare him.

I remember downloading Destiny 2 in september 2018, because it was a free monthly game for PSN+ and I am a big space/sci-fi fan.
I didn't always play, because of busy IRL or other games, but I kept coming back to this game. I got every DLC since Witch Queen (+ Beyond Light when it was free to get some time ago).
It makes me so excited to explore the beautiful Pale Heart!

I honestly didn’t expect Savathun coming along to aid us. But, if her story were to end here, and not later after Final Shape, it’d be poetic if: She betrays us by taking the Pale Heart. But like those before her, she pays for her hubris, greed, and arrogance. The pure power of the Pale Heart, is too much, and the Light destroys Immaru, then Savathun, as they are overloaded with blinding power. She’s moth-like, and moths often die due to touching the light they are attracted to.

I remember when Destiny 1 launched, playing it with my brother all the way through taken king, doing raids together all the time, going through nightfalls, trials of osiris. He doesn’t play anymore, but Destiny has always been something important to me, and I’m sticking this journey through to the end

I was 14 when I started the first Destiny. I still remember the jitters, waiting until midnight. The first time I was allowed to stay up until that time to play for a few minutes.
Now I’m 24. The jitters are back. The end to an era. It’s bittersweet. Even with Destiny having their hiccups, the game had introduced me to lifelong friends, endless joy and continual excitement.
What a ride. I still can’t believe it’s almost over.
The music, the visuals, cayde’s dialog… beautiful. My expectations for this dlc are pretty low, but this trailer has reignited my hope for this game.
