Not even - as far as we've seen only the most powerful Guardians can swap between subclasses on the fly, and i might be wrong but I don't recall ever seeing a Guardian combining Light and Darkness into a single ability.
This might actually make the player character canonically the most powerful Guardian in existence.
I was instantly reminded of the lore page about Osiris' and Sagira's demise in the hell mouth where he was dual wielding daybreak swords into throwing a nova bomb, or in Witch Queen when Ikora did a nova bomb into a chaos reach.
They're badass for that. We're going a step further and combining light AND dark from multiple subclasses at once?!

I don't think very many guardians can mix like that. I remember some flavor text once suggesting that skilled and powerful guardians can switch disciplines on the fly, but I always interpreted that to mean they can switch from arc to void and all that. I'm hopeful this will be the main character moment our guardian's needed.
This is mixing both powers of the light and darkness. we knew the loght could be molded into anything we wanted it to but this is a step higher.
@@iponce2that is exactly what it means, Guardian classes are essentially just how you shape your light. In reality any guardian can use any guardian ability, we’re just limited by gameplay balancing
It's how Guardians who've mastered their abilities like Osiris and Ikora could, yeah. Mixing and matching elements on the fly.

Supers though just ruin the paste of the game because i have to run away every time instead of being able to play the game because there’s nothing you can do against a super unless you yourself have one

@@Alckeethere's 1. It's part of the mixed subclass. It'll power up you're guardian and combine into a extra powerful ability.

The supers are 100% new abilities though.

Because you are easily pleased, I love Cade 6 but bringing him back is lazy and takes away from the impact of his original death. I’d prefer you know, some new content and characters. Bungie has perfected how to take things away from players only to give them back, and have us praise them for it.
@@CW-rh4jz I 100% agree with this, Cayde was my favorite character in the entire game lol. Bringing him back is so stupid, as much as I want to hear his dumbass voice again his death had a major impact on the game and a lot of us.
It's cool that when you think about, all the subclasses' colors can form the rainbow, which, a glass "Prism" can usually make.

It's a new subclass that mixes all the abilities with the addition of a new ability that combines 2 grenades into 1.

The pink buff is called transcendence and it gives you a light+dark grenade

Using multiple types of elements was something Bungie originally planned for Destiny as seen in the trailers for Destiny 1. Im so glad that after all these years, we can finally do it.

It's a reference to the first ever raid, when in Vault of glass WE OPPOSED OUR OWN WILL OVER THAT OF TIME ITSELF

1:08 I listened to this a couple of times over. I thought this was Ikora speaking to the guardian, but it sounds like whoever, or likely whatever, is granting this power. It isn’t one we found, but one gifted. Could it be the traveler, which has known this threat had been coming for eons, speaking to the guardian, granting them immense power as a final chance to stop the witness’s dark shape of the universe? The robotic voice could be easily brushed off as someone talking through comms. But I’m willing to bet that in this expansion, we won’t just commune with the traveler, but we will speak with it, or rather, it will speak to us.
I like to think that the person speaking is the real traveler and the giant orb we've been watching this entire time is just their ship they've been using to gift people their power.

@@shadowarceus4937 they cant balance it and I think that's why they've done it. No one likes balanced abilities, what creates hype is the players thinking about what op stuff they can do. If we log on when it releases to find out its nowhere near as good as we thought it would be it will only make people leave again and Bungie really cant be dealing with that anymore. They're making something fun to give us a reason to play again.
