    Fabulous! Made this last night. We did a small roast and lamb steaks (all prepped the same way) but pressure cooked them for 70 minutes. So tender and flavorful. I would have never thought to add lemon but it really does enhance the flavor!

    Pete, I’m not sure where you came up with that recipe or found it but what a gentleman for sharing. I have lamb on sale this week at the supermarket and was going to slow cook a leg, usually delicious but it has to sit in the oven in my Staub dish for eight hours running on low and things like that at the moment cost more than a lot of people can afford, I’m lucky to be able to afford that this week, and I’m so pleased I can get the same results of an eight hour slow cook in 90mins flat over gas with my pressure cooker pot. Oh and I have to make special mention to the gravy, tasty, simple and not a drop left. Thank you again and you’ll be pleased I invited my family and we ate the whole dish with green beans and herb roasted potatoes. You have a new subscriber here!

    turkey baster to remove the non fatty parts of the broth, genius! i usually put it in the fridge and lift the hockey puck of fat off the top but this is great if u need it de-fatted ASAP

      I tried it but I overcooked it on high within an hour. The meat was fine but the gravy was ruined. I'll try it on medium heat next time.

    Would it dry up if I let the steam out naturally?

    Hi, compared to an oven roast , is the taste semilar ???

    • @petersfoodadventures
      @petersfoodadventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, but it is fall apart tender, a roast is more tough.

      It's so good! I think lamb is cheaper here in Australia than it is in the States, it's very popular and is eaten as part of the regular dinner here. I love the lamb here. :-)

    This doesn't over cook it? I hear a lean roast can still get over cooked and dry despite being fall apart in a pressure cooker.

      Manually PRESSURE COOK on high for 90 minutes. PRESSURE COOK is the setting on the Instant Pot, and there isn't a specific temperature, like you need when roasting in the oven. If you want oven roasted lamb instructions, check out this recipe. 😊 petersfoodadventures.com/2019/04/05/roast-leg-of-lamb/
