    Thanks for the video. The mice got into my washer and chewed up the hoses and the outlet tube on the pump. You saved this old lady a bunch of money and taught me a new honeydo.

    So so helpful! It was very easy to follow your steps to remove the drain pump - turns out mine was fine, it just had a bobby pin stuck in it 😅 Thank you for sharing your expertise!

    I have an issue. I just replaced mine (on my own) but ive had it replaced before but an appliance tech and this is the 2nd time my tc5 destroys the drain pump. Any ideas?

    Speed queen owner here, model AWN63RSN116TW01, I had it stop many times blinking on rinse and wash, so I replaced the drain hose and also the cold and hot water hoses. I still get the error, what could it be now? The drain pump? I saw no leaking underneath when I replaced the hose, everything looks good under there and fairly new.

    Good info, thanks. The from entry makes this job easier than on my old HE3T. Another Tech added swapping out the tension spring on the Belt/Idler. WRT Belt Tension, is there a standard WRT tension/play? Any test / inspection metrics on the belt "slack"?

      That is something I would have to come look at. But that could either be in the motor or timer based off of the information you're giving me. I also don't have a model number. You have to remember that an appliance repair, model numbers are everything. There could be a difference in your machine from the one I have showcased here. You also have to remember that I'm sitting in front of a phone right now. There's no way I can wave my magic wand and tell you what's wrong with your machine. But generally when they start doing weird things like what yours is doing, it tends to be either in the motor or timer. You will need a technician at your house to diagnose that for you. It could be also something entirely different than what I'm thinking. Very hard to say.

    I was hoping you had a way without totally taking the entire machine apart to replace the drain hose.

    Great video. Is it usually a good idea to change out the tensioner when replacing the belt? Would’ve liked to see how you would do that.

    • @cgappliancetelevision2315
      @cgappliancetelevision2315  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The tensioner seldom wears on these. I only replace them if absolutely necessary. If you ever need to change it, all you need is a 1/2" socket on a ratchet. Unhook the spring, take the single 1/2" bolt out, replace tensioner and arm. Simple. Part #959P3

      Just realized- doesn’t the 1/2” bolt for the tensioner arm screw into a nut on the flip side of the motor bracket. Wouldn’t you need to drop the motor and remove the bracket to access that tensioner arm nut? If you kept the tensioner bracket but just wanted to replace the pulley, could you just release the locking clip and then slide the pulley off the shaft?

      @cgappliancetelevision2315  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My best tip is to call appliance repair companies in your area and see what they charge for a service call. Get the blue book and use it as a guide. See how they match. Remember, if you are a technician, you are a professional. Charge accordingly. I don't make it a point to talk money on here.

    Great videos. I was particularly interested to see how you re-attached the water pump clips and saw that you, just like everyone else in their videos, it's a quick press-and-snap, which is exactly how I did mine. What I also noticed was that you, as the others, never show how to pop in the other two clips, which should easily pop into place as does the front one. And I know why no one takes the time to demonstrate just how easy it is to re-install those clips. It's because the one located on the right side can be a little bit of a bitch with it located right at the hose hookup. The clip on the rear isn't a "little bitch", it's the full-grown, ain't-no-doubt-about-it, cuss out grandma, evil mother-in-law pain in the ass bitch to reinstall. Not only is there limited space and a difficult angle to work in, but the brainless designer of the model I have placed the metal framework just below the area where the bottom of the clip is supposed to attach. Now maybe it's just me, but if you agree that clip will make you want to just buy a new washer and have any tips, please pass them along. Thanks,

      Used them. Hate them. I use long nose vise grips if I really need to pinch things off. This is how I do it normally. I've thought also of a pump to pump water straight down the drain, but haven't found one I like yet. I have heard the little cheap ones on scamazon work well. For now, this is what I do.
