    This video really saved my hide. I have three of these machines in my apartments and I've been replacing them with used machines when the transmissions go bad. I can't get used machines anymore (at least when I need them) and this video inspired me to do the job myself. Between this video, it's seal kit companion video, and the kind support of the folks at parts4laundry, I was able to get the job done in about the same time as the appliance guy would have taken. Thanks so much parts4laundry! I'm actually looking forward to my next transmission job.

    I've done this procedure on a speed queen washing machine, 3 year, the machine appears to be operating correctly but has a slight grinding noise on wash cylce and spin before it reaches peak rpm, is there any reason for this, the only thing I can think of is the 2 washers on the brake (plastic and metal) may be around the wrong way, any ideas?

    Although they show tearing out and replacing the seal at the bottom of the tub, it looks like you don't HAVE to do that if it's only the transmission, as it just slides out of the tub bearing. I expect it is recommended to do both because the extensive under-frame disassembly to replace the tub seal and/or transmission.

    Does anyone have any idea why when draining spinning water spills from top between balance ring and cover???

    • @bigpun761
      @bigpun761 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be a bad tub ring seal or Rust has made a hole under the tub ring.

      They are only going to last 7 years. Whirlpool washers are made in China and Mexico and finally have a drilling done in the USA. Assembled in USA

      The old Whirlpool direct drive washers were made entirely in America.
