I found this excellent repair video for the Speed Queen washing machine to have enough similarities to my Amana LWA65AW washing machine to give me the confidence to install the Amana 646P3 Hub And Seal Kit purchased from parts4laundry. No more leaking Amana washing machine... Thanks parts4laundry!

I have installed the Bearings to my Commercial Speed Queen washers a couple times now. Thank you for the wonderful demonstration. Excellent video. Thanks

Did you have to buy those specific tools? I'm wondering if I can use an a/c fan puller or make something

I cannot complain about the quality of the seal. THAT does not leak. The outer tub bottom though has rusted through completely. I understand. The tub should not have been in contact with water of course. Hell, if they make a seal which does not break, and a tub which does not rust who is gonna buy a new washer. Induce wear, that increases consumption.

Thanks for this. Still relevant on a 2020 Speed Queen.

Thank you for this! It's similar, but not exactly like the one I need to replace. I have a Speed Queen AWM290W, and can't seem to find a video for replacing the hub seal kit. Do you have something? Thanks again!

Excellent video, very detailed and very clear. It stands out. BUT... for the video to be clear you used a outer tub mock-up with only the bottom. This procedure is not exactly simple, and it is gonna be a nightmare to perform the seal replacement on the bottom of a 20 inch tub. That doesn't mean the video is not good. It means washers were not really made with seal replacement in mind.

It would have been nice for them to mention that. Thank you for the clarification. I thought so.

Well, that's planned obsolescence at work. It's not profitable for you to fix your machines, the company makes more money by getting you to buy more machines. But they don't fool me!

Try doing that on a 20 year old machine.

Can you show how to remove the top cabinet... the commercial washer that I have has a bracket just under the coin mech that keeps the top from opening. Yes, I removed the 2 screws in the front under the cabinet top.

Can anyone tell me what thread ¼" bolt fits into the transmission shaft? If so, please do: I want to kludge the tool to remove the bell rather than spend (I think it was) $80 or more for it. Thanks.

No need to I get bells off using a couple of end wrenches. Lever and pry it a couple different ways and you will have it off in less than 20 seconds.

@@gabechristensen6729 thanks. Im planning to use a fan blade puller or gear puller if mine doesn't come off easily. Thanks for responding to that guys question- it helped me

MAYBE eight minutes on a Maytag Dependable Care unit. No way an eight-minute install on this type of Speed Queen machine, the transmission/suspension removal/install is not even shown here!
