The module I was studying for was focused on Thucydides, so heroic music was fitting for the return of Alcibiades to Athens (if you're not aware, look the dude up, he can broadly be understood as a "Razgriz" kinda guy in AC terminology)

I had tears in my eyes when Tournament Of Aces played. There is always a Cipher in the sky, and in our hearts

I love all music related to being a fighter pilot in games. I wish I had gotten into Ace Combat at a younger age, so I could fully appreciate every bit of what made the music so special for all four of the most famous games in the franchise.

I got into ace combat when I was six. My first game was Ace Combat X, and by sheer luck, it was also my very first game for my PSP, which was also my very first console, and I am quite sure it was my first game in general
By the way that's a nice PFP, did you draw it? I was trying to look for it with reverse search
relatable I was only ever able to start with X in the psp then I got into 5 for ps2 for a while was never able to get zero and was too bad at games to play 4.

I regret not getting into ace combat after playing the first two. Sadly I got back into ace combat in AC7. But I snagged the bundle that included AC5
My intro to the Ace Combat series was Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies. I played it ALL THE WAY THROUGH, in one sitting the night I got it. I teared up and turned about 12 aileron rolls in my F-14D Tomcat as Thunderhead said "All aircraft, follow Mobius One!" And Agnus Dei played. Then....I got Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. Ohhhh, gosh, guys. What a game (still my favorite of all time). I openly sobbed twice as I played that one all the way through, as well. First when we lost Chopper over November City (what a hero!) and second when we lost the Kestrel in the Northern Ocean (and her crew saluted her as she went down - that epic music, woeful and forlorn...oof, it hit hard), especially considering I was a sailor in the Navy myself. Now, I never got to play Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation (since it was exclusive to Xbox); but "Liberation of Gracemeria" is tied for first with "Unsung War" for me. Incredible. Life anthems.
Not for nothing, by the way. This kid, Lucas Ricciotti has a way of making what is already epic even more so. My favorite "re-do" by him is "Zero" from Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. What an INCREDIBLE use of orchestra (in particular the addition of epic brass in the reprise). Lucas...we aces (and nuggets that come after us), salute you, sir!

Each of these aces left their legacy in these glorious skies, I loved these songs
When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself. First, as a dark demon.
As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies.
However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns. This time, as a great hero.
I just love how these long mixes often end with a "break for the pilots". The arrangements are simply movies for the ears. And I just love the last song.
nothing beats just closing your eyes and playing a movie beat by beat, scene by scene and plot point by plot point in your head while listening to Lucas's mixes
Every time I listen to your music, I get the overwhelming drive to play Ace Combat or Project Wingman again. You are a genius are blending all this music together.

ace combat is the embodiment of an IGN review. story is clunky and weird gameplay is good with decent control scheme 9.8/10.
