Project Wingman was one of those projects I, honestly, had few expectations for, and turned out to be legit one of the few bright spots of 2020. Congrats to you all. You did great! This ost is just the majestic ice on top of the cake. Listening to it while writing my novel. :)
Can I say I STILL adore this entire OST? For a very VERY small team, you guys did absolutely incredible. Big games should learn from you, Jose. You're the best. Maybe one day you and Keiki Kobayashi, the composer of many Ace Combat Soundtracks, combine forces and make absolute music. Love your work, Jose Pavli.
Midnight Light is such a hidden banger. I listened to Kings/Showdown first since it was in my recommended, never got this in my feed. Put on this video while working on a project and I had to pause what I was doing to check which track it was. They're all great, but I cannot stop playing those 3!
I bought the soundtrack on Steam. TBH, Project Wingman is the only game I ever paid for full price, including the soundtrack. I did this knowing all the time and effort the developers (including you, Mr. Pavli), poured in making this amazing game. I hope there's a Project Wingman 2 in the future.
I listened to the soundtrack before playing Project Wingman. It's amazing how much my preferences changed, 'cause it wasn't just "this song is good", it shifted to "this song fits this mission SO GODDAMN WELL". You deserve awards for this. It's so perfectly realized-well beyond any triple-A game, well beyond most artists, period.
This singular soundtrack is one of the few reasons I can get through my hard and laborious days of school and work, that you Mr. Pavli for being the gigga chad of music

Every single track, from Registration to the 2018 kickstarter trailer, is incredible, almost downright tearjerking at times. Every note, every strum, every beat only solidifies this. You knocked it out of the damn park, man. You deserve a lot more work.
This is wonderful, probably my favorite OST of 2020, which I guess says a lot considering that Hades and Risk of Rain 2 is the competition in that field. Especially love end parts of Calamity and Clear Skies, wish there was a track that is entirely the style/instruments/leitmotif featured in those two. And, of course, Kings and Coronation are exceptional in their own right.
An absolutely superb soundtrack for an absolutely superb game. You and the devs really went above and beyond with this game, and it was truly a pleasure to be able to experience it. Thank you for the hard work, I'd say it truly paid off!

Wolf in the Dark reminds me a lot of the mission in AC7 where you have to get to within a certain distance of unknowns before getting positive ID on friendlies and hostiles.

1:29:36 I just can't get over this part of Kings. It's so goddamn POWERFUL and it SCREAMS tragedy. It's by far my favourite part out of this entire OST. If I had to compare it to any other piece of music, it'd be the final part of Roar of the Jungle Dragon. They both give off the same feeling, like the fight has reached its finale and both sides are desperately trying to be the winner, only RotJD is much more hopeful because there's still something left to save.

My one and only speeding ticket, I wound up getting off with a warning. It was 2016 and I'd had AC music blasting. It's so great to hear another composer worthy of the same honors.

Jose, I cannot understate the absolutely beautiful work you've done for this game. While I haven't played it myself, I've watched others and have heard your wonderful songs intertwine with the story so damn well. However, I can't help but notice something that's bugging me. I hear it during the final missions of the game (I noticed it during Red Sea and Presidia); it's a distinct piece that only plays during the briefing- fast motif for Cascadia on a violin before descending into drums. Can you help me find it?
Absolutely amazing soundtrack. There are a whole lot of motifs and I probably can't list them all and their meaning, but my two favourite recurring elements/motifs were the main theme of the game (obviously), and the grim, triple-beat strings melody that always seemed to play during missions that had a lot of of Federation presence.
For those interested, I made a list of where the two of my favourite leitmotifs appear. Main theme - 1:21:30: Registration, End Credits, Landing, The Independence Force (tease, piano), Calamity, Clear Skies, Peacekeeper I, Presidia (full), Eminent Domain (tease, first few notes), Pyroclastic (tease, simplified), Fire with Fire (tease, first few notes), Kings, Hitmen, Showdown (part of Calamity), Operation Blackout, Bankrupt Sea (this one is REALLY dubious) Federation Theme? - 1:22:40, 1:26:54: Bankrupt Sea (tease, subtle), Homestead, Journey West, Eminent Domain, Peacekeeper I and II (II is more dubious), Daedalus, Midnight Light (for mission 12, played with electronic instruments, not strings, and sped up in Daedalus), Valkyrie's Call, Fire with Fire, Presidia (latter section, after main theme), Kings, Hitmen, Fire and Dust (kind of dubious, but it sounds like a ticking clock here)
@@squirrelfart275 Glad you liked the soundtrack. The three notes motif you mentioned is not attached to the Federation. The Federation definitely has its own theme, but it is not this one. Shouldn’t take long until I can release the video explaining every PW themes, but all I can say for now is if there are only 3 notes in this motif, it is for a reason ;)
Y'know, something that's been bugging me abit and making me scratch my head is the small intro song that plays right before peacekeeper 1 plays in mission 11. It doesn't show up on the soundtrack, which is odd..
Why no one hasn't talked about The fire and dust yet? which is related to the mission 14: Open season It is a masterpiece! We need a single track of this section :D

hostile land, hostile sky, low, dangerous flight, enemy radars.... dark water, cold, snow, unfamiliar territory, alien mountains... target is close....
Just finished my first playthrough. Your work on this game is simply ascendant.
Honestly I think Coronation is an underappreciated track. The final stage of the Crimson 1's boss fight was beautifully done.
Despite how horrible Crimson-1 was as a person. Those final words spoken as those strings fill the air just bring a tear to the eye.

Jose, I cannot understate the absolutely beautiful work you've done for this game. While I haven't played it myself, I've watched others and have heard your wonderful songs intertwine with the story so damn well.
However, I can't help but notice something that's bugging me. I hear it during the final missions of the game (I noticed it during Red Sea and Presidia); it's a distinct piece that only plays during the briefing- fast motif for Cascadia on a violin before descending into drums. Can you help me find it?

Absolutely amazing soundtrack. There are a whole lot of motifs and I probably can't list them all and their meaning, but my two favourite recurring elements/motifs were the main theme of the game (obviously), and the grim, triple-beat strings melody that always seemed to play during missions that had a lot of of Federation presence.
For those interested, I made a list of where the two of my favourite leitmotifs appear.
Main theme - 1:21:30:
Registration, End Credits, Landing, The Independence Force (tease, piano), Calamity, Clear Skies, Peacekeeper I, Presidia (full), Eminent Domain (tease, first few notes), Pyroclastic (tease, simplified), Fire with Fire (tease, first few notes), Kings, Hitmen, Showdown (part of Calamity), Operation Blackout, Bankrupt Sea (this one is REALLY dubious)
Federation Theme? - 1:22:40, 1:26:54:
Bankrupt Sea (tease, subtle), Homestead, Journey West, Eminent Domain, Peacekeeper I and II (II is more dubious), Daedalus, Midnight Light (for mission 12, played with electronic instruments, not strings, and sped up in Daedalus), Valkyrie's Call, Fire with Fire, Presidia (latter section, after main theme), Kings, Hitmen, Fire and Dust (kind of dubious, but it sounds like a ticking clock here)
@@squirrelfart275 Glad you liked the soundtrack. The three notes motif you mentioned is not attached to the Federation. The Federation definitely has its own theme, but it is not this one.
Shouldn’t take long until I can release the video explaining every PW themes, but all I can say for now is if there are only 3 notes in this motif, it is for a reason ;)

Y'know, something that's been bugging me abit and making me scratch my head is the small intro song that plays right before peacekeeper 1 plays in mission 11. It doesn't show up on the soundtrack, which is odd..
