Dog dies after rescue from hoarding house in Norton Shores

- Harbor Humane in West Olive took in 20 dogs from Cober Canine Rescue including one named Nort who suffered severe pneumonia.
He was taken to Animal Emergency Hospital and despite lifesaving efforts, he passed away Friday afternoon.

This is why every state should require not only breeders but rescues and shelters to be licensed with the state and inspected yearly and surprise inspections done when there is a complaint. Too many so-called rescues are out there, like this one, that give legitimate rescues a bad name and do more harm to the animals than good.

If no consequences only lets them do it over and over again! Must be punished harshly!! Sick of hearing about ignorant and cruel monsters allowed to continue in cruelly!! She must pay for all the vet bills!! Maybe then she’ll stop!!

What adopted home? pets are not allowed and if any landlord lets you keep a pet it's only very rare, point the finger on breeders and end this corrupt business that has been going on for decades. Shelters shouldn't even exist. There are plenty of people who love animals and would love to have a pair of dogs in their lives but you landlords rejecting us if we have a dog are the ones who are doing crime.
