    Excellent work George, that plants called Himalayan Balsam, get yourself back down the river next summer before its flowering & pull it, bag it & take it away. And make sure you get the roots out as it will regrow at the drop of a hat.

      Too much Himalayan Balsam? It has almost been cleared from the Kent in Kendal & above.
      Also it's been cleared from between Crook O'Lune & Halton where there was a field full of the stuff on west bank. It can be done, especially if you get to it before it flowers, nothing is impossible if you put the hours in, same goes with fishing George.

    Hi,
    I know from some of your videos that I've watched that you care for the fish by crimping the barbs and handling them carefully.
    Have you ever considered using single hooks instead of trebles?
    The hook up rates are comparable and cause a lot less injury to the fish. There are barbless varieties available (Area Hooks).

    • @adventurefishinguk
      @adventurefishinguk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've considered it mate but I don't think theres much difference in my personal opinion. With one hook there's more pressure on a single hook point which will go right through a fishes mouth easier than if the force was spread across two which could just lodge in. With barbless I dont have any issues unhooking either! Not saying this is the most accurate scientifically, just my opinion!

      I use singles all the time catching a variety of different species and don't have the problem you mention.

    Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
