    Thank you so much for showing the products and putting links in. Immediately bought that headband and can't wait for it to come in.

    Wow, you are a natural! Thanks for sharing your in-depth knowledge of the budget optics for a somewhat "newbie" such as myself. Just the info I've been looking for and feeling overwhelmed exactly as you said. I'm very grateful and I now must see the rest of your content. Job well done indeed. 😁

    Bingo! A beginner guide made by someone who knows the subject PLUS can make a good video guide. That second point gets glossed over alot, and it shouldn't! REALLY looking forward to the series

    Thank you for sharing. The microscope demo especially was useful since I'm a jeweller and have been using the optivisor n loupes for my work (which is killing my back really) and I've been looking for a review of budget microscopes.

    Thanks for this video! I ended up buying. This exact scope for diamond setting and I love it. Ended up 3d printing a head rest for it, I had problems holding my head steady without out it

    Thank you for a great video. I had to laugh at myself when I realised that I’ve bought ‘exactly’ the same budget magnifiers that you’ve bought and, just arrived in the post today, the same AmScope. A couple of quick comments for your viewers if you don’t mind.
    You may find it helpful with the head-mounted (not glasses version) magnifier, providing you don’t ‘need’ the lights on, to remove the the battery pack at the front of the headgear, this will reduce the weight over your face by more than 50% which is great if you’re planning to work for an hour or two! As for the larger AmScope, be careful to make sure you buy the ‘simultaneous view’ version of the tri-scope, especially if you want to see through both the binoculars whilst also viewing the work on a monitor, such as watch repair!
    This can be done with the slightly cheaper version of this AmScope (still a tri-scope), but only if you give over the view of one of the eye pieces, by pulling/pushing a leaver on the side of the scope, which redirects that lens’s view to the camera view/monitor view, leaving you with a view from just one eye piece in my opinion defeating the point of having a binocular version in the first place. Honestly, I don’t know anyone with the slightly cheaper tri-scope version without the ‘simultaneous’ who wish they had chosen the latter. Hope this helps someone!

    good video, the microscope part is great to hear, but one thing, the reason you hold your eyes back is something called entrance pupil , like telescope eyepieces this controls the focal point for your eyes, ie how far away your head is from the eyepiece, look into telescope eyepiece selection, same thing, you can change both eyepieces, just like telescopes/ some binoculars, BUT have a far narrower range of choice, (some telescope eyepieces are like camera lenses, realy large diamater)- esp. the high quality japanese ones {takahashi?} but worth spending the money to get exactly the type you need!!

      At 8:00, you refer to field of view when I believe you mean depth of field. Great video!
      BTW, the 0.5X auxiliary ens is also called a Barlowe lens.

    thanks for the info! However, I been searching everywhere, but it seems like nobody is talking about the biggest thing in the whole gear set, the air compressor, I got the vise, graver, magnify glass and graver machine on the road to me, but I just realized I have no idea what kind of air compressor I need to buy, is it huge and havy like a desk or I can just use cos gas tank, I just can't find such information on youtube

    • @CalebKraftmakes
      @CalebKraftmakes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      there are many options for air, and it kind of depends on what handpiece you got. Some can run on a c02 tank. I personally use a 5 gallon air compressor from california air tools, as they are relatively quiet. It's still loud, but cheap compressors are much louder.

    • @CalebKraftmakes
      @CalebKraftmakes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's the .5x auxiliary lense that is listed on the product page. I wish it were labelled more clearly. By expanding the view, it reduces the magnification

    In all honesty there are some cheap Chinese scopes that are even cheaper that give those thousand dollar ones a run for there money. You don't need to spend thousands unless you have a hole burning through your pocket. The only advantage those thousand dollar scopes have is slightly better optics and the sticker that says made in Germany. Don't buy the hype with those your just getting ripped off!
