- www.vladtv.com - World Class Wreckin' Cru founder Alonzo Williams spoke exclusively to VladTV about various topics, more specifically his early days spent with Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and DJ Yella.
After explaining why he hadn't seen Ice Cube in over twenty years until the "Straight Outta Compton" premiere, Williams revealed that Ice Cube actually thanked him for giving him a start. When asked about Ice Cube's true gangster status, Alonzo revealed that Cube was never really down, adding the rapper is just a "good actor."
Speaking further, Alonzo believes that he was the most gangster out of himself, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube, as he actually faced attempted murder charges for shooting up a club back in the day. Williams did give Eazy-E props, however, for actually being from the streets like he rapped about.

Ice Cube was never a gangster. At best he hung out with dudes who were in gangs and grew up in gang hoods but that was it. His parents kept him isolated from it as best as they could. And that's fine. You don't have to be a gangster to make Hip Hop music, even hardcore Hip Hop music. But Cube did portray himself as a gangster in his career. The only dudes in NWA who were from gangs was Eazy-E and MC Ren, and even they weren't deep in to it. They pretty much got in to music soon after and left the gang mess behind.
When it comes to his group Westside Connection, Mack 10 and WC were both from gangs.
